Waiting for my wandering children to get home. It's almost 11:30. Too bad Megan doesn't remember that they aren't 23 like she is!
And I've been informed that our "extra" daughter is with them, and will be spending the night (what's left of it), all day tomorrow, and going to our friends' house tomorrow night with us. I am almost completely finished with all of my pre-cruise packing (except the clothes). Just need to do my carry-on, and I'm all done.
Christmas presents wrapped, boxed, and ready to ship, cards written, addressed and stamped.....
Before you think I'm looney (don't EVEN go there!) I need to have this all done because:
A. Like you guys already said....I felt like I was running out of time.
B. I have my liability audit coming up to prepare for.
C. Need to start to compile the data for my business taxes.
D. (Poor me) I have to have Thanksgiving here. That will set me back at least a week.
E. I'm a nut case. (Oops, forgot, we weren't going to go there)

Jared went to his first Jr High dance last night. I'm told by his sister that he even danced! I would have paid an awful lot of money to see that! Hard to imagine, my baby was dancing with a girl! It's just too hard to imagine. Next time, I hope we don't have our ball games, because I swear, I'm going to sneak into the gym and watch! (Bad Mommy)

I guess I must have slept funny, or done something wrong today. My back has hurt all afternoon worse than it has in a long time. I have four broken vertebra that so far can't be repaired. The last doctors I saw were at Barrow Neurological Institute, and even they said it was too risky.
Anyway, I could hardly sit through dinner, it hurt so bad. So, no movie for us. Went over to our friends' house, and then came home. After 1 1/2 Vicodin, the pain is now just a dull ache. If I take another half, I may be able to get some sleep.
How come the Moms always wait up for the kids to come home? My DH is sound asleep......but won't be, once the herd comes through the door!

Stacey.....I am very proud of you for being so organized and packed for the cruise.
If I only I was one quarter as organized as you I would be laughing. I think I'm starting to panic.

I'm sorry to hear about your back.
You better rest now and take it easy and get as healthy as you can for the trip.
I hope you will soon feel better so that the dolphins can push you around.
What ever makes it feel better do it now!!!!!!!

Hi,

I am hoping someone will be able to help me regarding posting dates from the US to the UK for Christmas.

We are arriving on the 11th Dec to spend a week at the parks before the Christmas Cruise, and I thought it would be a nice idea to maybe get a picture of us all taken at one of the parks and send it as a card back to the UK. I am trying to find out what the last date for posting is but cant seem to find it anywhere.

Also, do you have booths or shops where you can take the card from your digital camera and get photos printed from it? If so how much per picture should I allow?

It seemed like a good idea at the time but I am beginning to think it is not terribly practicel!!!

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Blessed Sunday morning everyone!

My oh my where did the weekend go! Even with Friday off I don't feel like I've accomplished much. To be honest I treated Friday as a mental health day for myself. Still much to be done.

Congratulations Stacey for being so organized and on top of things! You are my idol! Sorry to hear your back is bothering you.

gaRry - you take care of yourself. Of course if the doctor says to take time off and you go visit & who could blame you.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN CRUISERS !!!


I'm up too Gary! Forgot to set the clock back. Actually thought I was sleeping in a little. Then I looked on the computer and it said 6:45. OH well more time to try and get stuff done.

I have been trying to catch up on the boards. You guys are so busy and some of you already packed???

We have a full day today with DS soccer and then yard work. We are supposed to have a beautiful day in the high 70's, don't think there will be too many more of those. Then of course theres Halloween trick or treating!!!

Stacey- our 2nd daughter will also be spending the day/night here, maybe the next few since the kids don't have school Monday or Tues. She is so funny. She walks in and says "ahhh it feels good to be home again" and calls us mom and dad. We don't get to see too much of her these days though. She lives about 30 mins away and her neighborhood just got their own Middle School this year so she left Kristen's school. Its been hard for Kristen to have her best friend at a different school this year.

BTW- I forgot to mention that last weekend while at the Magic Kingdom I got to do a soft opening of the new Stitch attraction.
I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but let me say that I was not impressed. I thought this had a lot of potential and I was dissappointed. Its basically the same thing with Stitch replacing the Alien.

I'm off to make coffee and read the newspaper. Hope everyone has a great day and a safe Halloween!!

Happy Halloween to all!! BTW, here's my family in costume me , dh , ds , and dd (but we're all going to be 's at heart on this cruise!!)

Hope everyone is getting lots of treats and no tricks (i.e. gaining weight from all the goodies!!)


Lorraine - At certain large pharmacies (eg, CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, etc.) and superstores (Walmart, K-Mart, Target, in the US) have them and I believe at that time of year you can even have made holiday photo cards (big here in the US with holiday greetings and designs already on the card (think postcard w/envelope to mail) - although I'm not sure the locations near WDW. Also if you have a computer or have access to one (e.g. business center at the Boardwalk or YC or Dolphin) - you could upload your photo to a photo website (ofoto.com, snapfish.com, or maybe you have one in the UK) into a holiday card and I know here in the US they can even mail your cards for you if you forward them the address list for a fee - and then you can enjoy your vacation! Just an idea!!

Also, as it is getting close - is there a cabin location list that can be made with names attached ?(I know not everyone will/or can be accounted for) I just think it would be nice to know where everyone is - just in case

Thanks, OM. We like it too! We are not native Iowans but it sure has grown on us in the last 2 years. It has been a great place to live and raise the girls. BTW, I have an Aunt who lives in Ohio. Her DH is in the Air Force and they live near Dayton (Beavercreek to be exact).

I will be rooting for OSU when they play U of M. Good Luck!!

Dee - we have done phone cards in the past and we have also done Wal-Mart gift cards. The CM's seem to really enjoy getting these little extras.
