I had no idea so many cruisers were training in TKD. DS Scott will recieve his Black Belt tonight. He passed his 6 hour review last month. DS Nathan earned his black belt last April. We are very proud of both of them.

Dee, you'll do fine. We have found that TKD is very positive and they won't let you test if you are not prepared.

How many others train in TKD?

That's great! Congrats to your son. I have a 2nd degree black belt in TKD (hence TKD Lisa). I was senior instructor at our school for 3 years or so. But my many roles got to be too much, and I decided to drop TKD about 18 months ago, since the kids had totally lost interest, and DH stopped after he went to nationals. I'm thinking that once the kids get into high school, I may start back again. I took an 8 year break when I was having children and moving to the east coast, so a little 5 year break will be nothing. I do miss class, and I especially miss teaching.

Okay all caught up with the posts. Congrats to GaRry on 15000!!!! I don't know if I need a milestone post. I had claimed one of the earlier ones, but wasn't around when it came due. With our hectic schedule the next month, I probably wouldn't be here at the right time!

I probably will be in chat tonight. It's a nasty rainy cold day here.

Sue, how's your mom doing? If you want to pm me, I'd be happy to send a card off.

Another one who doesn't want to play secret Santa. Shopping is not my favorite thing. Tomorrow I have to pick out our appliances. How do you pick something like that? I did some research on complaints, etc. But it's not like you can say "oh, that one will make my legs look longer" or "that color will look good with my hair", or anything. Yesterday, the builder loaded us down with electrical, plumbing, and door catalogs, so the next time I have insomnia, I have the cure! And it all has to be decided by 1 December!

Stace, hope you have fun in Vegas. Be sure to take good care of that twin, cause anyone named Lisa has to be all right, isn't that right scuba family?

Now I'm off to catch up with the rest of what I missed on the main boards. TTFN!

Speaking of bets, did anyone pick Turks & Caicos as Jim's next dive destination? I thought he was thinking of somewhere that needed a dry suit.

I have to be careful and post only the safe trips here because DW reads the boards. If she read that Matt mentioned shark diving off Mexico during great white season (which he did mention) she would be pretty upset. We can only tell her what we did when we get back.

This afternoon I took a little time off work and went diving at Blue Springs. Drysuit worked out great, but it wrinkled my dress shirt.

Is Jim making it an open invitation......I'll need a Gus vacation sometime, as I am not able to dive this time around.

Gus

Sometimes the best trips are the ones by yourself. I did a liveaboard in Belze by myself and it was great. No one to worry about, no one else to make happy. Just eat, sleep, dive.

Kind of what it was like in Santa Barbara last weekend; eat, sleep, dive....

What an outstanding job!! :earseek:

Don't worry about the corkscrew, we will bring one. I'm sure there will be others floating around......

I'll have one! I'll also have some of that special "10 days of Holiday Magic" wine.

Sharon, Tell Matt that Nathan & Scott, who will both be 14 in January, are in early seating too. They are not alone!

He is not worried about being the only teen.

He just want's to eat twice.

Great work Stacey. Now you just need to work on the Captain so we can take turns driving the ship.

Ken

Or at LEAST have turns pushing the Mickey horn!! ;)

Stacey, is this food at no cost? Room at no cost??? You are a queen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check out the fridge from sears. This is what I'll get when my fridge dies. Our space is little and right now our standard fridge door hits our counter and doesn't fully open. So a side by side would be better but I HATE those narrow shelves (pizza box won't fit)

So here's the best of both worlds:

Great Minds - This is the same fridge that I have picked out when my current one dies (which could be any day as it is 15+yrs old) I wanted the big maytag but it is wider than the space I have for the fridge.

If there is going to be a SECRET SANTA and you would like someone to help 'run' it, let me know. I'd be happy to help.

Virgil, thanks a bunch for your info on the dramamine. I had already purchased a bottle of it and it's good to know the ship will have stuff on board.:earsboy: :earsgirl:

It's five weeks to the day we will be flying into MCO....yipee.

For those people staying at the Hyatt, I'd love to get a list going. You can PM me and I can let everyone else know.....

Thinkin' about the mouse.....

Christine

It's Friday night. What are we doing tonight?

Science Project!

I hate those things. The school does not make it easy to do anything fun. Tonight we are freezing scuba tanks.

What a great Friday night. Pass the wine bottle over here.

Great news about the wine party! Sessions is a perfect setting for that sort of thing. If they follow the usual Navigator for Monday on the Western itinerary, nothing happens there until a piano player at 7:30, but I'm sure we can talk over that!

I downloaded the "When you wish upon a star" ring for my cel phone. Only problem, it isn't nearly as loud as the ship's horn. I miss a lot of calls.

I know. I will start carrying some hangers so I can hang up the dress shirts so I can run back to the office afterwards. Be kind to me, I'm just a drysuit newbe.

I'm not sure who has the official list going for wine party, but I'd like to add myself and ohiomickey to it. I sat down and talked with him about all of you and he's not so scared of you anymore ;)

If anyone can point me in the direction of who's keeping tabs, I'd appreciate it. :)

For those of you with kids who have done shows....
I've got a question....
The mom of the other Christopher Robin and I sat down and picked our dates for performances. I turned those into the director who immediately asked "is Nick doing opening night?" I said "no, it doesn't matter to us, Logan can do it." She said "NO! I *DEFINITELY* want Nick on opening night. I'll look the schedule over and tweak this and get it back to you."

So...what is the significance of this? Me, in my proud parent role, thinks it means they want Nick there when the "critics" will be there....they think Nick is better than the other CR. But then my insecure mom thing thinks they want Nick there b/c everyone will EXPECT the kid won't do a good job the first night, so why not let it be Nick who takes the fall. Any ideas why she's so adamant about Nick being on opening night?

This is cool. I'm a mom helper in KT's ballet class. That basically means I run the music and keep girls in line. Well, the teacher is taking ALL of the mom helpers, ALL of their kids and some of her teen helpers to see the Rockettes when they come to town. Pretty neat, huh? It's a pretty big thing for her b/c she works in the bakery of a grocery store and she VOLUNTEERS her time to teach ballet! So this can't be a cheap outing for her!

Here I am talking to myself....

so I went to chat thinking everyone must be over there...

Where is everyone?
