Stacey & Linda - hope you both have a great time in Vegas.

Dee - congrats on the pre-test and good luck to you and Keith next Friday. Sending a little *PD* your way.

I don't get it. How can you be spontaneous and have no flexibility at the same time? Doesn't make sense.

Jenny, since Walnut is DH too, I get it! If you noticed above, it said "Full of strange contrasts" Makes for an interesting man

BTW, DD and I were Hazlenut, and DS was a pine. Fits us all too a T! DS especially!

I went home sick Tuesday with a bad fever, and our dial up was really SLOW! So I wasn't able to check in. Lots of catching up to do.

Dee - congrats on going for your next belt.

Stacey & Linda - have a great time! We want pictures!

Lisa - sorry to hear you've been sick. :(

I won't be in chat tonight. I'm going to a stampin' up party with some friends from work.

Congrats to those who need congrats.
Feel better soon to those who are ill.
Happy birthday if it's your birthday.

Sorry, had to skim so fast together I didn't associate any names with posts.

Dog is at the vets, heading off for a crazy day here in a few minutes!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Stacey, you're right, it's probably too late to throw another plan into the mix. And everything I could think of that was uniquely New Mexican involved food, and they don't let you bring food on board, right?

But if you left your wench costume at home...

I'm betting that if you wear it in Vegas, you won't even get a second look.

Speaking of bets, did anyone pick Turks & Caicos as Jim's next dive destination? I thought he was thinking of somewhere that needed a dry suit.

:bored: Quiet day today compared to yesterday:chat: . I've been busy trying to make a mental list of all the things I want and have to do this week end. I don't know why I bother to do it. My mind is like a steel trap - once it's in there, it stays there.

I have to take the dog to the vet tomorrow for his shots, but first I have to get him to take his tranquilizer. That should be fun:rolleyes: I think DH wants to go to Best Buy tonight to get the new GTA game that came out recently. We might go to Kohls too because they sent a $10 gift card in the mail. Just what I need - more clothes.

After the vets tomorrow I have to venture to the dump, er I mean spare bedroom, to try and get it cleaned up. My passport is in there somewhere, but I'm not sure where. I also want to scrub down the kitchen. Maybe I'll get DH to put up another shelf in the laundry room for extra kitchen storage. Maybe I'll start packing.:hyper:

Not much to do really.

:cake: :bday: :cake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDRA!!

Out the door right now...just wanted to tell everyone to have a nice weekend. Not taking the lap top, but may check in on you from the business center.

The news some of us have been waiting for:

Wine Party, Monday December 20th.....4:30 pm ....in Sessions
They will supply food, glasses, plates, forks, etc. We might need a corkscrew....didn't ask about that. But...no corkage fee!!

If this conflicts with the vow renewals, we will just keep on partying and wait for the love birds to show up!!

Diana...you're right, no one would even notice....
And, Turks & Caicos are gorgeous. Only need the wet suit in the winter months.

Bye all!

Stacey

Patty, what meds did your Dr. recommend? Just curious if it matches my bag. I don't think it will match yours, Karen. We just used a couple of doses of our supply of Oscillococcinum. We'll be taking that on the cruise for sure. Expensive stuff, but it's why Alicia is much better today.

She suggested Advin, imodium (we always have that!) and Tylenol Cold and Severy Congestion. I also have some organic ear drops that I'm taking --- they seem to work wonders!

Is Jim making it an open invitation......I'll need a Gus vacation sometime, as I am not able to dive this time around.

Thanks for all the hard work Stacey. This sounds great and it should be a lot of fun. Have a great weekend.

Great work Stacey. Now you just need to work on the Captain so we can take turns driving the ship.

Sharon, Tell Matt that Nathan & Scott, who will both be 14 in January, are in early seating too. They are not alone!

LeiLani,
Contrats to Brittany! I remember in high school I had the opportunity to go to Europe. Being a homebody and a homesick kinda girl, I volunteered my mom to be a chaperone!! She went too!!

That was just the biggest of a NUMBER of times I volunteered my mom to chaperone:

"my mom can drive the girl scouts to Columbus for an overnight"
"my mom can chaperone the girl scout camping trip"
"my mom can drive everyone to.....fill in the blank"

:)

should be #14930...

Boy you could be quoting my kids! "My mom will do it" and they never tell me until the last minute!! Kids, got to love them!

I had no idea so many cruisers were training in TKD. DS Scott will recieve his Black Belt tonight. He passed his 6 hour review last month. DS Nathan earned his black belt last April. We are very proud of both of them.

Dee, you'll do fine. We have found that TKD is very positive and they won't let you test if you are not prepared.

How many others train in TKD?

What an outstanding job!! :earseek:

Don't worry about the corkscrew, we will bring one. I'm sure there will be others floating around......

I passed my TKD pre-test for advanced yellow belt. I'll be taking the actual test next Friday! Results are usually 2 weeks after the test, so keep your fingers crossed.

Keith (DS) will be testing for Green on the same night!

:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Congrats Dee!!! I knew it was a reasonable goal! So when you're on the cruise, you'll be extra deadly! Most times the pre-tests are harder than the actual test!

I'm sure you did fine. If you did well on your form I'm sure you will pass. They are not in the business of failing people. They want to see you succeed and continue.

For the past two weeks Matt has been taking special training classes to be a judge. Saturday he is going to be a corner judge at a TKD tournament. He has had a great time and learned a lot about what they look for in tournaments.

Are you all still planning on working out during the cruise?

Jim, tell Matt congrats! Corner judging is LOTS of fun. Of course, my first refereeing experience, I planned on corner judging, and ended up center reffing. I was fine until they put me with the heavyweight men. Gives "shuddering impact" a new meaning! That was my first exposure to Olympic level athletes. Boy are they fast!!
