Ha, just noticed something....
By 8:16 this morning Mr. Scuba had already been to the Mother Ship and back.

At 9:05 I was sitting down to breakfast.

That's the difference between FL and Ohio. I could NOT get out of bed today b/c of flannel sheets and a heated mattress pad!!! I'm sure the rapid pace of this last week contributed too.

The news some of us have been waiting for:

Wine Party, Monday December 20th.....4:30 pm ....in Sessions
They will supply food, glasses, plates, forks, etc. We might need a corkscrew....didn't ask about that. But...no corkage fee!!
.......
Stacey

STACEY -- Thank you you are a gem!!

I have a couple of DCL corkscrews they brought me when we had the wine party a couple of years ago. I will bring them. They aren't anything fancy but they don't take up much room and they are DCL to boot.

I had no idea so many cruisers were training in TKD. DS Scott will recieve his Black Belt tonight. He passed his 6 hour review last month. DS Nathan earned his black belt last April. We are very proud of both of them.

Dee, you'll do fine. We have found that TKD is very positive and they won't let you test if you are not prepared.

How many others train in TKD?

DD, & DS are a belt shy of the Black, they took a hiatus as they were quite young and not at all ready for that. DS is active again and preparing for his black belt. DH also does TKD but does not faithfully attend as he always seems to be recovering from some sort of injury. (fall due to horse, fx face due to horse, do we see a pattern?????) I think he needs to stick to TKD but no he is in Lexington looking at .....what else horses... I give up

For those of you with kids who have done shows....
I've got a question....
The mom of the other Christopher Robin and I sat down and picked our dates for performances. I turned those into the director who immediately asked "is Nick doing opening night?" I said "no, it doesn't matter to us, Logan can do it." She said "NO! I *DEFINITELY* want Nick on opening night. I'll look the schedule over and tweak this and get it back to you."

So...what is the significance of this? Me, in my proud parent role, thinks it means they want Nick there when the "critics" will be there....they think Nick is better than the other CR. But then my insecure mom thing thinks they want Nick there b/c everyone will EXPECT the kid won't do a good job the first night, so why not let it be Nick who takes the fall. Any ideas why she's so adamant about Nick being on opening night?
Why don't you just ask her and save yourself some anguish?

At least then you'll know.

Good morning everyone, I enjoyed chatting last night with WVMD, gail1771 and afff!

I saw the battery operated LED lights at Walgreens earlier this week. I think they are the same thing that someone was talking about earlier. They also have some other Disney decorations and wrapping paper.

Looking forward to the wine party as well. Thanks to all who organized it!

John

And I had to scrape my van windows. Brrrrr

I cannot believe we cruise in 5 weeks. WOW how the time has flown.

Went to the Dr. yesterday he is sending me to the surgeon for his opinion but he seems to think I need another organ removed. Not a large one but a painful one. I am really hoping it can wait until after the first of the year. As one of my Dr. friends put it --- any other person I would say go for it, but this is you and ....you don't..... well let's just say you should wait until after your vacation to have surgery - you don't want to ruin your trip now. Let's just hope I can behave and stay healthy. I really am not looking forward to the surgical knife.

Good morning Cruisers!
We sail in 5 weeks!

Ok, the weekly question....what were you doing 5 weeks ago today?????

That was the OSU-Wisconsin game. I had puppy class then Nick and I went to Springfield to get a credit on building materials that were never picked up at the Mother Ship. And then we hit the mall and spent 45 minutes looking at the puppies in the windows at the pet shop---while our OWN puppy was at home locked in her crate. ;)

Yup, it sure did! :)

I now have the puppy home. The fence was FINISHED yesterday while she was at the vets and what do they tell me today???? For 10-14 days, no activity other than leash walks!!!

She's a miserable little thing wearing the big sattelite dish on her head--that, too, has to stay on for 10-14 days!

But, I guess this is less hassle than having a dog in heat or whelping puppies!!

Hey, it's snowing here! Did winter hit everywhere at the same time?

Vicki, sorry to hear about the surgery. Does it matter much if you put it off? I know you want to be tip-top for the cruise. Speaking of which, what are you guys doing in Antigua?

I'm not sure what Vanessa and I are doing. Had thought about a spa day but couldn't get info. Several of the Disney excursions look good but I have had trouble deciding. What were you thinking of? Maybe we could make it a girls morning again. Vanessa is very jealous that you are getting snow and we aren't I personally would rather have 70 all winter long.

I, personally, LOVE snow. I hate cold weather without snow. My feeling is that if it's going to be cold, it might as well snow.

Course, I usually don't have anywhere that I HAVE to be (that can't be cancelled or rescheduled) so that makes a difference. If I had to get up and go out in it every day it would get old fast.

Hi everyone,

In Antigua we are doing the catamaran sail, snorkle, and beach cruise.

I also like the snow. I feel the same way, if it's going to be cold, we might as well have the snow to go with it. We llive in the "snow belt" and can get quite a bit. I don't mind driving in it with my suburban, it gets me up and down all the hills safely. I remember one November we had 4 feet of snow and school was cancelled for a week. It was really cool. The kids used up all their snow days that week and never needed to use another one all year.

Another playoff football game tonight. It's going to be cold out there. I think we'll bring our hand and toe warmers!

Just got back for the TKD tournament DS was judging. I got a phone call at 12:00 that said he was just about done. Well, 4 hours later we get home.

He decided to compete in their TopGun competition for sparing. It's a single elimination tournament.

I'm proud to say he brought the trophy home. He is the TopGun. The 4 hour delay was worth it, to see him be the best at sparing today. Going to celebrate with some Filet Oscar tonight.

And yes, he can kick my a** if he wanted to. I figure I'm safe as long as I continue to feed him and pay for his diving.
