Maybe I shouldn't admit to this......but I am at home goofing off. You're just jealous, Paul!

DH took both kids to school today because Jared had a field trip out of town and had to be there at 7:30. So I slept in, and have been goofing around here. Just a little taste of next year, when he takes them both all the time.
But I do have to get in to work eventually. Need to mail invoices today, or there will be no $$$ for cruising!

Vicki....I got to film my friend delivering her twins several (several!) years ago.....it was fascinating. Mine were C-Sections, so I missed that whole "Push" thing.

Virgil, you !!! I totally forgot about 5555....and I was going to sneak in and get it! Glad you're back!

And gaRry...glad your back is back!!!!!

Wonder how all those passengers on the ships did this week with trying to book a 14 day or 7 day west coast cruise? Can't wait to hear their experience.

Wonder where Virgil is? Haven't seen him for awhile. (Or maybe I missed something)

Anyway, TGIF, I have really just let this week go to the dogs. Haven't got much accomplished considering all my time spent with DIS stuff this week.

I really need to focus....work....work....work

I'm back already....hey, that was 5 hours! I'm just speedy. And I have an "in" with the boss, that always helps.

No word from DCL yet. I should have booked an earlier cruise, maybe they're working their way through the calendar.

DS has a game tonight, and DH and I do, too. I'll have to miss ours to take DS. Oh well...at least I don't have to work in the snack bar. Which maybe would have been nice...it's air conditioned in there! It's 96 right now, and will go up a little more by game time. Won't drop till at least 6:30-7:00.

Off to pick up DD. Back later tonight. Probably after everyone else is in bed.

Just checking in. Not doing much today. Had a mystery shop at a restaurant for lunch.. ah such hard work...LOL :
Now that the mad rush of booking cruises is done.. we just have to sit back and write checks for the next 10 months.
I have to wait until my new use year kicks in on the DVC to book a few days at DL after the cruise. I've stayed at DLH and GCA, thought we might try Paradise Pier this time... anyone ever stayed there? How's the concierge level?
Thought crossed my mind this AM about how much stuff we usually take on the shorter cruises ... and our car is right there... Next May we'll have to fly back with everything we take plus everything we buy! Uh OH...

Leslie-we are going to have our work cut out for us moving from one board to the other!!!

I stayed on the concierge level at Paradise Pier. View is great looking over into California Adventure. Rooms okay. Nothing spectacular.

I've got to wait for my points to come up too, I think we are going to add some pre-cruise days at OKW. My sister has this grand idea she can stay at the condo since she has never been there, and if she has to go early, well darn, I'll have to go too!!!!

Had a minute to check in before DS's ball game.
Leslie, I've not stayed at PP, sorry...can't help. We love the GC so much, I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.
I booked the 50th Anniversary package for a few nights before our 8-6-05 cruise. So far, that's all Disney will let you book. No special room requests, nothing. Just a regular room, city view. We like at least a theme park view, and they aren't booking suites. The CM told me that they won't open "regular" booking for the Disneyland Hotels until at least July, unless you book the Anniversary package they are offering now. And it was expensive. But, I figured, at least I have a room booked. One thing about the DL hotels, they don't block out a room for you like DCL does. They won't guarantee much of anything. Last time we stayed at the GC we requested a room with the bunk beds (almost a year in advance) and when we arrived, they said they didn't have one. CM finally "found" one for me. I can't imagine a hotel operating like that, but they do.
Anyway.....I'm out for the night.

We have quite a few lucky ones who are doing both......what I'm waiting for is the people who have the suites to give them up to go on the 14-day!

Stacey, me too...... I think I know of at least 2 suites that have dropped to take the 14 day.

I've thought long and hard about both the 14 days and think that the 10 day Christmas cruise will be more special. Something about cruising on a holiday. While I hope to cruise the Panama canal at some time in the future - I guess it won't be on a Disney ship....

Oh well - still thinking about the 08/06/05 Mexican - don't like the price.....

Hi Christmas Cruiser friends!!

Wish we were among the lucky ones that were going to do both cruises. I wouldn't mind the May PC, as an adults only, but with horse shows I really don't think that will happen.

Lisa glad today has been a better day. We are all allowed those days to wine. We can even whine too if we want.

Hey Virgil have any of those Suites been the Roy or Walt suites? Maybe Leilani will get one after all.

Yes, I consider myself VERY lucky to be doing both cruises. I am a DCL addict... but I'll hold off on the 12 step program because I don't really want to do anything about it.
I thought long and hard about choosing between the two.. but what the heck.. we are using DVC points for this one so we really only have to pay for the May one... Besides.. we live here in FL so we save on airfare and such... I can keep going.... LOL see how easily I can justify it
I just have to give up some of my pins.... and I'm really trying to be good. I might have to have a pin garage sale and get rid of some of the extras if I want to spend every day in the rainforest room though. At the very least I will be trying to trade for the new ones I want instead of just buying them all. I just have to keep thinking.. spa ... spa... spa....
Okay.. since I am impaired with AOL I cannot chat.. is anyone around????

I'm around! At least for a little while longer. We too are doing both cruises but are doing the CA - FL repositioning cruise. I don't think of myself as lucky but maybe a little crazy!

I figured I should have got more staterooms booked, I could have turned around and sold them on Ebay for big $$$$ at the rate the prices keep going up!

Can't wait for Christmas and then the PC cruise. Paul, wish you were going with us from FL to CA.

Leslie-we used points for me and DH for the CHristmas Cruise too, that made it easier to justify the PC cruise. Of course, I will come up with any justification in order to cruise!!!!! My excuse...I talked my mom, dad, brother, sil, sister and bil into going to PC with us. It is a family vacation. Of course, I was going whether they came along or not, but they don't have to know that now, do they?

Okay, got a few things to do. I'll check in tomorrow. Just think we will be one week closer tomorrow!!!!!

I really think the Christmas cruise will be incredibly special. I wouldn't miss it for anything!
But both DH & I would have loved the Panama Canal. If they do build a new ship, they will still have to send one to CA....then, Virgil, we'll get our chance again. Just can't do it with the kids' school schedule.
