Hello everyone. We will definately be at Pleasure Island on Sunday (8/8). Made the hotel reservations yesterday. I would be happy to give someone my cell phone number to let me know of any changes, etc. Just PM or email me. (It's nice to be back.)

Hello everyone,
Checking in from cloudy, overcast Northern VA. We have had lots of rain and no sun all weekend!
Looks like the rest of the week will be about the same.
Nothing much exciting going on here. Sure am jealous of all those heading to WDW. I am thinking about trying to get there for a weekend in Oct for food and wine fest with a group of DVC friends. Anyone else going then???
Tried booking the Srping Hill Marriot for Hershey, but wasn't available. Might try the Hampton Inn. We might head up there for a weekend in late Aug. also.

Glad to see that the Boards are back....I was going through withdrawal.... I actually had the weekend off - don't work again until Wednesday night shift.... Of course I stayed up late last night playing an online computer game (City of Heroes).... so didn't get much sleep.... but it was fun!

Still trying to talk DW into the WDW meet - she might go - only if we stay at Universal... She hates lines - and loves the front of the line passes at UO.

Oh boy, working boards! This is nice! I guess they don't want to be taken for granted. We love you, DIS boards, we really do!
Virgil, we almost booked a weekend at US/IOA. Gotta love the FOTL key, and they have a new attraction "The Mummy". But they changed their AP policy, it's like Disney's now. If we had renewed, it would only be good for this trip - two days. So we'll stay at WDW. But yeah, come on down!
Cindy, we will be at Adventurer's Club around 7:30-8. If you visit Mary's web site, you'll see pictures of Stacey, myself, and my daughter from our Las Vegas meet. I'm sure you'll be able to find us that early. I'll PM my cel phone number too.
Did everyone see the e-mail about Disneyland's 50th celebration, and the new attractions opening at WDW for it? Stitch Encounter will be open this Fall, so it isn't mentioned, but there's also Expedition Everest at AK, the car stunt show at MGM, and Soarin' over California at Epcot. Yes, I think it will remain California, even though it's in FL. It was enough for us to say "let's go!"

Diana - when we were at UO in April for our pre-cruise day - we managed to get on one of the technical demo rides of The Mummy.... It was awesome - if you like roller coasters - the only thing DD (Lauren) didn't like was one room were there was fire over your head - she didn't care for that too much.....

I was looking forward to the The Mummy but Alicia wasn't, so it's just as well. Probably would have only been able to talk her into it once. She loves coasters, but hates rides where things jump out at you, and she wouldn't have liked the bugs AT ALL. We don't ride Jaws or the Dinosaur rides. Maybe she'll get over it in a year or two. Then there's me, I have an aversion to getting soaking wet with clothes on, which happened the first time we went on Kali. Haven't been able to bring myself to go on it again.

Okay, Now that I have tried to get on all day, and I have typed several messages, only to have it come back and say Website Unavailable...or what ever it says.....I have now totally forgotten what I wanted to say in the first place!!

I hate that we can't ALL go!! It's so hard to get excited about a mini DIS meet, when some can't go!!
We actually got some measurable rain last night. I love it!
We've had our share of times when we thought that we'd also need to build an ark. Hard to think back that far, though!
I had a question...I just can't remember...when we're on the ship, do we charge everything to our account, or can we use a credit card in the shops? Can I use my Disney Rewards card?
I don't have a lot of money on it right now, because I used it at DL in May....so I wasn't going to take it to WDW NEXT WEEK (not excited, no!) but if I can't use it on the ship, which is the next Disney trip......well, anyway, you get the idea. Can I use it on the ship?

I wish I was going to join all of you at WDW but by the time I went to check airfares all the cheap flights were gone. My neice and sister will be there next week. I helped them with their plans so that helped to take some of the sting away of not being able to go myself.

Now the boards are back again. Boy it is like withdrawal when they're down!
Doc, you sent the rain our way. It's just been pouring here! But the storms are really localized. We live about 8 miles from work, and it was just gray there, but here at work, they probably got 2 inches. It was pouring down the streets!
DH managed to get the grass cut last night even though it was wet. I took the kids and we went to paint our new building at church. The kids primarily painted themselves! They actually did contribute some, but it was a full time job keeping up with them, reminding them to go back over the runny spots, to not drip too much paint on the floor (it's still in construction, so the floor will be covered with carpet, but drips are still wasted paint!), and so on and so on. And that's not counting the time DD just happened to "bump into" the back of DS's head when her hand was covered in paint. I might go back over Thursday while DS is in scouts, but not with the kids again! It's a really big building, and we're trying to save money by doing the grunt work ourselves.
I probably need to check on Hershey reservations. I planned on the Country Inn and Suites, I think it was East Harrisburg. That's where we stayed last time, and I was very happy with it. I'm more than willing to pick up passes for people at our rec fund rate of $30. I think the kids were more like $20, but the kids tickets were only for 6 and under I think.
