Happy Saturday to one and all!

Busy weekend for us - ballgames, birthday parties, etc. -- the spring rush!

Sorry no Friday night chat for me - sounds like it was down for a while?

Hope Stace is winning big time about now in Vegas! Hope Lynda & Cash have a great vacation! Hope Gail gets her new computer soon so she can chat without crashing! Hope DCL announces this week about that repositioning cruise! ::yes:: ::yes::

gaRy - How are you feeling?

Have a great weekend all!

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers :flower1:

Happy Saturday!

David was in chat last night but I never saw him after it crashed. It was a nice chat, but I missed all my 12/18's buddies in it.

My apologies for not having the May issue of the newsletter done yet. I'll have it up by the end of the weekend.

Gail- sorry to hear that your daughter and computer are both still having problems.

gaRry - hope you are doing well. I miss seeing your posts.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Wonderful Saturday Morning to EVERYONE!!

GarRy had his surgery yesterday morning. Dr. said everything went very well. Actually didn't take as long as they had anticipated. He thinks I may have difficulty keeping GaRry from overdoing it as he should start to feel soooo much better. He must really know him well. He did let him come home late last evening (sorry couldn't make chat - someone had to pick him up)
he was up and running around --so to save the nurses sanity, they discharged him a bit ahead of schedule. So far this am he is doing well. Major concern at this point is to avoid infection - It really is a relief to have it done. I know he is looking forward to some true relief from the pain. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and PD.

Gail we will continue to send PD and prayers your way for DD.

Hope all those vacationers are having fun!!

Don't think we will be looking into the repositioning cruise - that is in the middle of show season. :sad2:

Looks llike we are in for a soggy weekend :umbrella: again. At least it is a little warmer.

Off to fix the patient some breakfast - or better yet take him to breakfast
Hope everyone has a great day

Vicki

Vicki - thanks for the update on gaRry. Glad to hear he's doing better today. Going out to breakfast sounds like a good plan for the patient and the caregiver!

Soggy and cool here today. Hopefully warmer and dryer tomorrow so we can get yard work done.

Vicki - I hope that garRy starts feeling better soon... although - I'm not sure that I'd want him as a patient either.... I doubt that he's very compliant with his doctor's instructions.... Let alone with DW's instructions....

Virgil - how true!! He is talking about another road trip before he has to go back to work.

who had the mustangs??? GaRry remembers reading someone had a relative with a mustang, but cannot remember who it was -he is the one looking for a project car. (I personally would like the 2005 model)

Have a great day

Vicki
:boat:

Vicki - Give gaRry our best. It sounds like you are going to have the hardest part of his recovery by having to keep him from over doing it!

Paul

Vicki - I think it was Lynda that had the Mustang but that her mom was still driving it.

Tell gaRry he better listen to you or he has all of us to answer to (like that will stop him). :D

thank you to everyone for your support.
I will give him the threat that you will all gang up on him on the cruise -or -- maybe tell him it will mean no chocolate:cake: if he doesn't behave? wow that might work. :rolleyes1 I'll let you know

time to clean the closet  I would rather lurk on the boards but if I do that I won't have room to shop. guess the closet wins.

I'm BAAAACK! Did you miss me?

Let me just warn all of you that Amarillo Texas is NOT a fun place to visit. I decided that every 18 wheeler west of the Mississippi must drive through there. There were more truck stops (and donut shops) in the 10 miles I drove than I've ever seen in MY LIFE! They also had 2 Dairy Queens. I just kept thinking about that cheat free clippie though, and managed to avoid them!

Anyway, Mary, I"ll see if I can resurrect my email from a sent folder. Not sure if I can cause I think it dumps once a week. If not, I'll try again. It wasn't very profound, but I threw out some stuff about prepping for the cruise, and things to do at sea.

And as to the questions.

1) How did you find DIS? While I was researching our May 2002 inaugural western, I found Barb & Tony's trip reports on epinions. I followed the link to their page, then their link to DIS, and I've been here ever since!

2) And the 10 day cruise, we decided we wanted to cruise over Christmas one year. I pulled up the dreams link last summer, and saw a 10 day Christmas cruise. I thought it was that year. I really confused the poor agent. I think he gave me quotes on both the Wonder and Magic for Christmas 2003, before he finally figured out that I had MY date wrong, and what I really wanted was Christmas 2004. It was just as well that we had that extra time to plan. Given the lightning strike and hurricane damage, as well as adding the in-laws to our bill, we couldn't have afforded it without a year to save!

GaRry, listen to Vicki, and get WELL!

Lisa - we did miss you. If you can find it great - I'll add it in to the newsletter. If not that's ok.

My plan is to work on the newsletter tomorrow. Off to the in-laws tonight so I won't have a chance to work on it.

Virgil, that is so funny.

Vicki, I'm sure you and the kids have your handsfull. Send gaRry our best for a speedy recovery and he better listen to all orders.
:happy2:

Lisa, I lived in Amarillo for 10 years, uh months, once. Horrid place. Thunderstorms, tornadoes, dust storms, ICE storms, and not a single thing to do. Longest 10 years, uh months, of my life.

GaRy, we miss your posts! Hope you'll be at least halfway up and about soon.

Well, this is officially my week. Starts with my birthday on Tuesday, anniversary on Friday, and ends with Mother's Day on Sunday. See? My week! My husband let me eat the last shrimp in the margarita shrimp cocktail today at lunch. It's good for something!

I lived in Fort Worth for a few years when I was in the military. I didn't mind it too much but I loved those thunderstorms!

Paul

:flower1: Bright beautiful Sunday morning! :flower1:

How is everyone doing today?

gaRry - have you been following the doctors and Vicki's orders? I hope so!

Gail - hope all is well at home with both DD and your computer. Miss chatting with you here.

Hope Stacey had fun in Vegas and Lynda and Cash are enjoying their vacation.

Well its almost time for church.

Hope to get the newsletter up this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone!

Nice day again here in the Great Northwest. I think we are having our summer early!

Seems pretty quiet on the boards today. Stacey is away winning tons of money and Mary is working feverously on the May news letter!

I just thought I'd stop by and post to keep us from sinking down to the bottom.

Paul

Pretty quiet on the boards this weekend. I spent 12 hours yesterday at National Scrapbooking Day scrapbooking my 2002 Disneyworld/Cruise trip! About 200 crazy's scrapbooking all day and night! I got alot of pages done though. I am all remotivated to get my books done again.

Watching NBA playoffs and picking up mail. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

GaRry, glad to see you are home from hopsital. Hope you are on hte road to a speedy recovery.
