2 weeks to go, will my rental $ drop....

I am arriving in 14 days.. Do you think my national rental for full size will go down or is the price just going to up from here... what do you all think?

Keep a close eye on it, daily or even more. Many people have had rates drop the day before they leave....

My only experience was last August and my rate didn't budge for months..... though rates now seem to be up and down.

Last month, mine dropped the week before my rental date.

Mine for the first week of December dropped a week before. I rebooked 3 times in the last month, it went from $142 to $130 to $122 to $112. That was Emerald Aisle. I noticed that the full size emerald reserve didn't drop. It was a large difference, like $170 vs $112.

I went to National's site yesterday and my reservation dropped $15 - now $79.70. Renting an intermediate Feb. 3-7; this was with Priceless code and weekend coupon!!!

I've been watching my Dollar rate, but it hasn't dropped at all. When I went in December my mini-van rate dropped and dropped. When I went to check in the guy behind the counter was amazed at my rate. Little did he know how many times I checked the rate (or maybe he had the history and knew how many times it had changed).

I'm leaving in 9 days.
I check my car rental rates about every other day.
I've changed my ressies 3 times now. You gotta keep checking. Keep looking for codes, and also just try and put the rental in without any codes.That has sometimes been the cheapest way. Also try different car companies.
I'll keep checking until we leave.
