2 weeks, 2 sets of BFF's, 1 incredibly lucky family! New PTR Link is up on last page!

I don't have the exacts written down, but our morning went like this.. I woke up first, got ready first, then made everyone else wakey wakey!

Today we had another day full of firsts starting with a restaurant none of us had dined at before! I was VERY excited about this one form all the great reviews hereon the dis!

Today we were heading to Cape May Cafe. We had a 9:10 ressie. We found parking, checked in, and really didn't wait long for our table.

Once seated we were instantly greeted with characters! The first was this guy.. Bob's favorite!

After this, we were greeted by what I am SURE is WDW best server EVER, Dorothy! Dorothy was elderly and I was actually surprised she was serving us! I learned not to judge a book by it's cover very quickly! Dorothy was everything a server should be at WDW! Just pure magic!

I got no pictures of the buffet, but it is located in the center of the restaurant and the place is rather big! It had a fantastic selection, and everything felt very fresh! We all went up several times!

Back to Dorothy! Throughout our meal she warned us that Donald Duck was very fresh and could not be trusted! We were pretty sure we knew he was a joker, but we had no clue how much so!

While Dorothy was at our table, Donald came up and TIED her up!! LOLOL! It was fantastic and they all played along so great! I love pixie dust like this, but to the kids and Bob it was beyond amazing! Jack was literally splitting at the seam he was lol so hard! and I honestly could not believe what I was seeing!

After Donald was done misbehaving he was nice enough to stop and take pics with us :)

754.jpg

Then he got yelled at some more by another CM! SO funny!
757.jpg

758.jpg

He tried talking his way out of it....
764.jpg

We agreed a few shots might make him look good again in Dorothy's eyes!

771.jpg

This was one of the big highlights of our trip and something i know I will never forget! I may even write Disney an email all these months later with pics! I adored Dorothy!

Once Donald was gone we had some more characters come through..including another round with goofy! This time less rushed :)

772.jpg

Then Minnie, who I thought looked ADORABLE! LOVED her shoes...

Yay Jenn!!! Glad to see you hear again

Just make sure you bring a bottle of water with you over the summer while you dog walk. I am sure it is going be hot!!

Nice to see an update. Cute pics of the kids decked out in their Hawaiian outfits and their leis :goodvibes

What are your wedding colors?

Yay! for an update!

Glad to hear you're doing well, you're a busy lady!

We did 'Ohana for the first time last trip, and we all loved it as well. Such a grat meal and experience.

We are huge fans of Cape May for dinner, but that breakfast looks awesome. I heart Dorothy already. Just love her.

My DD would have been giggling herself into a frenzy over Donald's behavior. What a great start to the day.

When we left noticed this cool crayon art!

I love little touches like this!

As we left we saw a neat looking old time car and took this is as a photo op :)

A nice CM saw what we were doing and offered to take a photo for us :)

Once we were done taking pics it was time to head to another first for all us !!

Typhoon Lagoon!

I have to admit.. when booking I was stoked about this..but once in WDW I felt as if I was leaving the parks and missing out on "real" park time. We got there very easy and parking was a breeze.

As soon as we got there everything felt different and I was bummed that there were no photopass photographers! I had my SLR with me, but didn't really want to take pics with it with all the water and sand.

We quickly realized it seemed packed there and found a spot at the beach by bluster bay.

We first swam in the wave pool... I guess we thought waves came sooner, but we waited over 30 minutes for the first real wave. Once they started though they were BIG and came every 90 seconds and were very strong!

I had pics from my point and shoot, but NO clue where they went.. so stay tuned!

Once we were done with that we headed to the family raft ride...forgot name. I wrote down "cute, but not thrilling and super short".

The next thing Bob wanted to do was swim with the sharks... say wha?? I did not want to do this, but then decided to man up and do it! We even somehow conned Kayla into doing it! We LOVED it! Coolest thing ever and I even got Kayla to go back and do it again with me! While Jack enjoyed it, he had to use regular goggles as the snorkel ones hurt, so he didn't see much. He still told everyone that he swam with sharks though!

After this we headed to the crusher gusher thinking jack could ride, but that was a no go...we lucked out and bumped into Michele and she agreed to stay with jack so we could ride this!

this ride was fun, but man KEEP YOUR BUTT UP! I must have put mine down for a sec and ouch lol

For some reason Bob started feeling really ill after this and decided to head back to the beach area where our stuff was so he could chill out for a bit.

I decided to stick with Michele and her fam and we headed back to the shark reef. I stayed with her son Riley while they swam with the sharks. Kayla went back in again with them :)

After this we all parted ways and our family headed to DTD...

Next up, my favorite and a disappointing dining experience....

Sorry for lack of pics!

I REALLLLLLLY plan on updating and finishing this sucker asap so I can start a wedding PJ/ Disneymoon PTR :dance3: With that said, hang in there.. my good intentions sometimes get beat out by exhaustion!

Happy Memorial Day y'all! Hope you enjoyed your time off!

Yay Jenn!!! Glad to see you hear again
thank you!!
Just make sure you bring a bottle of water with you over the summer while you dog walk. I am sure it is going be hot!!
I have to! I should just freeze one and carry that lol
Nice to see an update. Cute pics of the kids decked out in their Hawaiian outfits and their leis :goodvibes
we wore teh same outfits the first night LOLOL but thank you :)
What are your wedding colors?
Purple, black and charcoal (dark gray) :) sounds dark, but hey, I like what I like !

What a great and FUN interaction between Goofy and the servers!
It was so memorable! I really had a great time and the kids were dying lol
Yay! for an update!

Yeah, Ohana was a bust in the past, but I think the large group and great service made the difference! I still crave it some days lol!

and I ADORE Dorothy! She was amazing and they should let her train all new servers!

Thanks so much for sticking around you guys!

I left you off with fun times at Typhoon lagoon and not so great feeling Bob.

After a little down time, he was beginning to feel better, but we decided we should head to DTD and stop at EOS :) MY FAVORITE! Seriously, I love this place!

I love it so much I didn't even take any pictures lololol! I did however jot down that I had the all american (my fav), Bob had the caribean jerk ( loved! ), the kids had ham and cheese and we had soup. Tomato I am assuming. Still my favorite soup from anywhere!

After filling our bellies we decided to do some walking around. We spent about 90 minutes in the lego store where Bob and Jack were in ADD heaven lol They had a blast stopping at each station and building all sorts of stuff! Then destroying it... boys!

The super awesome car they built, that beat out some other 5 year old lol
IMG_1553.jpg

While they did that, I took pics! LOVED the Toy Story figures they built!

IMG_1556.jpg

After the lego store, Bob still wasn't feeling 100% so we headed back to the resort.

Bob decided to take a nap, and I took the kids to the pool and did some laundry. Apparently the cost of the wash ticked me off because I have noted $2.00 to wash!!!! $2.00 to dry!!! <--- just like that lol

and apparently I still didn't have my camera with me, but i did take some pool pics with my iphone!
IMG_1557.jpg

IMG_1558.jpg

and by some, I mean 2 !

once our laundry was done, we headed back to the room to wake Bob up and get ready for our late ADR at 1900 Park fare for dinner.

Now, I had eaten here before for dinner and wasn't blown away, but we were blown away by the character experience, so we decided to give it another chance.

I checked in late at 8:28 for our 8:20 ressie after forgetting it takes 10 years to park at GF. No matter anyway, we weren't even seated until 8:50. I found this to be annoying at such a late hour. By the time we were seated i was feeling VERY ill. I had started to get a headache earlier and took my headache meds on an empty stomach, thinking we would be seated promptly. BAD idea:idea: After about 30 minutes and very small bites of bread every few minutes I started to feel better. Our waiter was Russell and he was NOT great. Our drinks went a very long time without being filled, and our plates remained on the table for very long. The characters however were a+ again! Drizella wins hands down again though!

She was Jacks favorite on our last trip and we got the same girl! At first he loved her, but then when she paid him so much attention he hated her.... check out this kiss ...

795.jpg

796.jpg

797.jpg

LOLOLOLOLOL! She made him cry! She felt so bad, but we didn't! We thought it was hilarious!

Bob was SO impressed by how great the characters were. Yes, we had been there a while and met lots of characters, but this crew is always extra in character!

Heres some pics of the rest.

After all the crying stopped, the wonderful chef came out and offered to make Jack a special peanut free dessert! Not unusual for an allergy kid, but man oh man, this chef went above and beyond! Look at this creation he came up with, and have you ever seen a little boy so happy? (food IS the way to Jacks heart!)

After the wonderful dessert, Russell the pretty awful waiter redeemed himself by giving the kids a light up tinkerbell and light up lightning mcqueen !

All in all it worked out, but something is always off at 1900 PF and there is always a wait! With that said, I would dine here again, but maybe just keep doing the breakfasts.

After dinner, we strolled around the GF to show Bob the grounds and then headed back to POFQ to pass out!

Up next, sleeping in... Disney style!

your wedding colors sounds great. Mine were lavender and grey, little similar :goodvibes

Great update!

That picture of Jack is priceless... That is definitely a keeper to show the future wife :rotfl:

We had a lousy service there too, but the characters were awesome :yay:

Can't wait to read more

BTW.....Love the ticker and pic in your siggie :flower3:

So glad you are writing again!! :goodvibes

I loved reading about the interaction with Donald and Dorothy. I think we had her, too (she looks familiar) when we dined there in February.

I got that same dessert at 1900 PF. Now I don't feel quite so special. ;-P Just kidding - the chef there was excellent (I can't have gluten) - he was the most helpful of any I dealt with that trip!

Poor Jack. I'd have laughed if it was my kids, but I'm sure she felt bad for making him cry!

Jenn, how DARE you sneak in an do all these updates while I wasn't looking. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Glad you tried out Typhoon Lagoon; we've done both water parks in the past and we definitely prefer TL!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your breakfast at Cape May--it's our second favorite character meal (I just can't get back there because I can't leave Pooh bear and his puffed french toast).

We've never done 1900 Park Fare, but I've read such great things about the character interaction (but not so good things about the food).

Can't wait to read more.

Alright Jenn I am subbing and I am caught up. Love love love your writing style, straight to the point and no beating around the bush. Few things of note, I am sorry you guys missed out of the SOA show, it was one of our highlights on our last trip in 2010. Congrats on the engagement, now just get a GPS and all arguing over directions should cease and no more 8hr grudge matches in the Kingdom should occur again. Love all your pics especially the photopass. The deluxe dining plan is a super engorgement of culinary bliss, once we were done with the plan food just hasn't been the same. Our favorite was of course California Grill and the Wishes viewing from the observation deck. Never forgot that magical moment when my family and I will observing from the desk and were able to hear the music and hear the crowd in MK cheer loudly during the show.

Both your kids are absolutely adorable, How old is your son because I have a daughter who will be 5 when we go back and I want to see if she will measure up on some of the rides?

Keep the updates coming I am really enjoying them, your TR is actually reminding me of our last trip and how fantastic everything was with the DXDP.

So excited for the wedding PJ! I hope we can meet up during your dismoon!

Im so excited for you & am loving the updates!

Also, I pretty much need to have your anchor dress.

I like the 1900 pf breakfast better than the dinner.. but dinner wasnt as awful as some reviews claim on here!

Thursday September 15, 2011.. THE HALFWAY POINT.... WOW, sorry guys, I am SLACKING! I am only half way through this drawn out TR!

After a long dinner, headache, but entertaining night, we came back to POFQ and passed out! Lucky for us today was a sleep in day. I called it Disney style at first, meaning it was still early, but I just realized, 8:15 IS sleeping in for us, even at home!

So we slept in til 8:15, then got up and ready for our day! My notes say that we were out the door by 9:30. We parked at Epcot and then took the monorail over to our ADR at Ohana for a late breakfast! According to my handy dandy notes, we were seated promptly!

The food was ok, nothing great, nothing bad. Our server was awesome though, and Bob really seemed to enjoy this meal! He did agree that the coffee is the pits, so he got a Kona blend after we left and he said that was pitiful too (Bob lived in Hawaii for quite some time, so he knows good Kona!)

The character interaction here was awesome but it took stitch forever to get to us!

Check out these happy faces though!

823.jpg
(see my rolls... i think they are gone now.... ill have to do before and after shots.. ive lost 15 lbs since then, and hoping to lose another 15 before wedding.. after ice cream season that is!)

OK, so funny side note, see lilo's face... Jack totally felt her up, and I yelled Jack, don't touch her ****ies.... we all died lol!

834.jpg

After breakfast we did something new.. well new for me and the kids! We were SPONTANEOUS!! We hopped on the monorail and went to MK!

well, hello spontaneous yellow monorail! will you take us to the MK, pleaseeeeeeeee?
837.jpg

As soon as we got there we headed to the barber shop for a haircut for Jack. They were super busy but said to come back around 3! With no plan to hold us down we decided to head straight for the haunted mansion!

The new que was a big hit with all of us!

As always, one of my favorite rides! and thank you instagram for allowing what otherwise is a dark picture into an awesome one!

After Hm, we FINALLY hit up fantasyland! yes folks, we had been there a week already and I still had not gone into fantasyland... how does that even happen??

first thing I looked at was PP.. of course it had a stupid long wait, so we used the ever impressive fastpass! couldn't use them til 1:40 though :/ So what do you do when you have FP and need time to burn? You hit up IASW!

Once we were done there we went over to Mickey's Philharmagic... Bob had NEVER seen this! Needless to say, he loved it, and jack got a huge kick out of it again! I thought of Sophia while there! It is her fav!
IMG_1574.jpg

It STILL wasn't time for our Fp's yet, so we decided to head over to the pooh ride when WHATTTTTT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!! Snow White was STILL open! Previous to leaving I had read that it was going to be closed! Imagine my delight (and I think even tears) when i saw that it was open! We of course high tailed it over there and hopped on with almost no wait !

IMG_1576.jpg

IMG_1579.jpg

IMG_1586.jpg

After we finished up at SWSA we headed over to pooh... LONGEST wait ever.. decided to skip entirely and walked over to the tea cups! Bob loves these, I do not, but the wait was not long, so I told them I'd be a good sport and go on..with kayla! I knew she wouldn't turn it fast lol

870.jpg

876.jpg

877.jpg

It wasn't quite as bad as I thought, I'm not a fan of spinny things, but it was fun!

It was now FINALLY time to use our FP's! When we got there I noticed this fine lady giving the CM a hard time.. (gypsy?)
879.jpg

881.jpg

I don't have it noted, but I feel like even with the FP's the line was long for this ride! Totally worth it though!

We were all pretty happy at this point and decided it was late enough to try the barber shop again!

(continued in next post)

Once we were done with MK we hopped back on the Monorail and headed back to Epcot!

When we got to Epcot we went straight to Kim Possible and checked in!

After we checked in we saw this little critter in someones stroller..lol
915.jpg

It was funny cause right before leaving I had read a post about squirrel attacking strollers, and thought NO WAY... I about died when I saw it!

We decided along the way to stop in Mexico and ride the ride.. Bob had no clue about this either lol

918.jpg

this Donald pinata ALWAYS cracks me up!
919.jpg

She sees dead people
920.jpg

We also decided to stop at kidcot and jack about died when he saw Captain America bear!

IMG_1610.jpg

The nice lady let him take it..(but later that day he was left behind somewhere... Jack was devastated! )

After Mexico we had to go to Norway to check in for a mission!

kim possible is some serious bizness
922.jpg

We also ran into that festive fella!
Photo0319FourBySix.jpg

We of course rode Maelstrom after! Love the hidden mickey in this que
925.jpg

This was another ride that Bob had never been on, and enjoyed it..but not the movie so much at the end lol!

After that mission was finished we headed to China kid kot. When we got there Mulan was outside doing autographs! score!

928.jpg

By the time we were done with Mulan it was time for our 5:50 ressie at Biergarten!

Today was Also John and Micheles anniversary! As a gift to them, we told hr to drop her kids off in Epcot and we would watch them for the night while they enjoyed a nice quiet dinner alone!

While I checked in, Bob and the kids found Snow White (how bummed was I???)

While with Snow White, she noticed that kaylas shoe laces were untied, and proceeded to tie them for her!

Photo0326FourBySix.jpg

Photo0333FourBySix.jpg

Meanwhile, I was STILL dealing with check in. It took FOREVER!

Finally we were all together and checked in, and Riley, Micheles son HATED me. I thought, omg, great, I said I would watch this baby boy and hes scared to death of me! Luckily her two dd's are fantastic and calmed him down. In no time that boy loved all of us and we were having a blast!

Bob was especially happy! wonder why....

and Riley, well, he just thought cheering with Bobs pint was the bees knees!

Finally we all got up and decided to do some dancing... by we, I mean they and I took pics :D

Everyone was having fun!
949.jpg

968.jpg

Once we were done dancing we sat back down, and ate! Bob also indulged (after me practically forcing him) and ordered a BOOT of beer lol

We were all rolling out of that place! Look at how cute these two are! Would you ever know hes not biologically her daddy?

989.jpg

990.jpg

After the fun times inside we decided to continue the good timing and Bob indulged in one more beer in a souvenir mug of course!
IMG_1615.jpg

Btw, the food was good! Bob and kids exclaimed a must do on every trip! More for the atmosphere than food, but thats ok!

After dinner was done, we strolled back towards the entrance. They all went on test track while I waited out with Riley! (It took them 45 mins total btw... ouch)

After that, I was pretty done. Not in a bad way, but just ready to head back to the resort.

Once back at the resort we were out early! I'm pretty sure we were asleep by 10! and good thing, tomorrow was a super early day....

next up- Rope Drop!

Hi Momma !!Sorry I have been missing !!! We are going to Biergarten on my next Free Trip in October !!I have a feeling the "Guys" will be up there dancing and Carol and me too!!!
