2 contracts can I swap bookings?

Hi, I have just closed on BWV and have booked part of our Oct/Nov trip. Ok, so I have just sent a deposit for an OKW conract which should (fingers crossed) close in May( my second home as it were). So my dilema is the BWV contract has 184 banked points which have to be used before end of NOV2006 and the OKW has a load of banked points also to be used by end of Nov'06. The question is can I reserve the OKW booking 6 days 1BR with the BWV points and then swap the point allocation when my new contract closes? Boy, even I don't follow that........Anyone? Ian

If I've understood the question , I think the short answer is "yes". I'm assuming you're trying to make sure you use up all the banked points from both contracts ultimately.

When you make your reservation, you can specify which lot of points you want to use for it (to make sure the banked points are used up). Then you can call again to ask to switch them around when you get the other points in your account. However, I'm not sure whether they would need, at that point, to cancel one ressie and make a new one (rather than just switching the points across) - so you'd need to ensure you didn't have to borrow any points on the initial reservation that you didn't want to end up in the 'wrong' year after you'd cancelled it. Gosh, that sounds even more confusing LOL!

The best thing will be to check with MS when you call, and tell them your ultimate plans at the outset - they'll be able to confirm the best way of going about it

Thanks Hilary, I understand your answer, better than my question I will carefully explain to MS when the 7 month window opens for 24th Oct -our first DVC day ever! Yes,Yes I know I have to wait until the last day!! Ian

If you want something specific { we went last July/August- very busy ] I called every day from the first day, booking a day at a time. {we went for 6 weeks] I actually booked at the 11 month window for our home resorts then changed the last couple of weeks to BCV at the 7 month window {again 1 day at a time} Does that make me sound sad and desperate LOL I dont know that late Oct is too busy though so probably you'll be fine. We have 3 seperate contracts at different DVC's but MS were great and always seemed to get my requests even although I was often confused!!

Thanks for the replies, I do feel a sense of relief to know I'm not the only person with more than 1 contract. Thinking about it, MS must get this all the time, but I still panic about losing points. Ian
