2 Castles, 2 Send out 2011 & Ring in 2012...12 Days of Christmas

The pages will not really be in an "album," just a spiral holder to keep them together and protected until I get home and take them out to scrapbook them into a scrapbook album of our trip. We will have just 1 "album" and all of the pictures/autographs will go in the trip album...when I am dead and gone the kids can fight who gets the trip album. I used to scrap everything 3 times for each child to have their own album, now I keep a family album and up date each child's album with a series of pictures from the entire year along with anything that was special to only them that year.

Hugs mom on sending your little on to 1st grade! They grow up so fast...I will have to say I got a little teary eyed when I left Goo at Kindergarten last week!

Yes I can't believe it and sadly I forgot that we will be celebrating his birthday in December as well so I totally missed booking a party for him and now the places that he wants are booked- I am trying to plan something at the house with a few friends though!

No, we have not had Jungle book yet....it keeps getting pushed back!? I have planned to do a chicken curry, naan bread, and a rice pudding (or maybe a king louie & baloo cream pie for dessert...berries & bananas) for our meal. There is an Indian restaurant in town, but I am a little scared to try it...but I want too! I have printed a game from Family Fun to use...

Those are some good ideas I haven't seen it in years and years I forgot it's based in India! Maybe I can bug MIL to make some Indian food the day after she gets back? I don't like going to the restaurants, but when I do go I chose Chicken Tika! Most Indian food is spicy you know that right? They use the naan to sooth the spice! Oh and at the end they have these coated fennel seeds that we love! You should only eat a small handful at a time, but they are good!

I love those moose ears, I like how you made the moose ears! They sound easy enough! That looked like a really fun day and how perfect to do the bear movies in the cabin with bears!
The other movie night turned out nice looking, I am sorry that some of the movies you watch weren't so good though. I haven't seen Lion King 1 1/2 either I'm not sure that we are going to get around to it before we leave!
You have a very handomse little man going to school!
Oh I haven't seen the fox and the hound ini so long! But I'll try to give you some ideas.....
Maybe have hunters stew (just beef stew, although with the heat this may not be the best thing)
Your good with the cupcakes you can make fox tail cupcakes! and a salad since I think that's what todd (the fox?) ate--- I haven't seen this in so long!

Okay, I am still stalking that return airfare! But there is still little movement on the fare prices, either up or down. I really want to leave the latest possible time on Friday, which is 3:30 pm. However, I got to thinking, “Why not check the earliest flight the next day?” Hmmm…the difference in the latest on Friday and the earliest on Saturday for our family would come out to just about a $250 savings.

What would the cost be if I resort hopped …what would my cheapest option be? Port Orleans Riverside for 1 night would cost me $201.
What about dining?

If I do the dining plan, which the credits will expire on Friday night at midnight…we could still eat on Friday using the dining plan…pick up something for breakfast on Friday night with our snack credits. No increase in food cost and I would not end up leaving credits unused!

I was thinking about taking a hired car to the airport instead of ME on Friday (again to give us a little more time at WDW)…but we still have to get up early, what is an hour earlier with M? I could save around $50 using ME instead of the car service.

Does anyone know where this line of thinking is going? If I add a night at POR and a day to our ticket, it offsets the cost of the flight and I actually end up saving $40 (more if you count the car service, unused dining credits and only using ½ day on a park pass).

What do you think? Should I add a full day to our schedule? I am not sure what DH would say, he is already freaking out about leaving his business for 2 weeks. Should I just do it and tell him that I could not get a flight on Friday...:rolleyes1

Of course this is going to really mess up all my plans…but hey gives me more to plan and think about!!!:rotfl: I probably will not make a decision until midSeptember...I vowed not to book airfare until that time. Oh the waiting is killing me!

Movie Trivia Question of the day...
Who is Briar Rose?

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I think you know what I would do. However, I am not sure if you can get the dp for that one night. I think you have to have a one day ticket on THAT reservation. KWIM? So while it would be nothing to add the day to your existing tickets from your main reservation, I think the one day would cost too much to add for your POR ticket. However, I think you could still come out with savings if you add the one day to your park ticket (so technically when you check out and move to POR you will have the day left on your KTTWC) and eat oop and add the cost of the night. This is why I added the two nights at the front end of our trip. It was cheaper to add the two nights at Pop than to fly out on our original dates.

From what I read today about the dining plan, the credits do not expire until midnight on the night you check out...so with that being said, if I do a room only reservation at POR. I should technically still have my key to the world for Friday from BWV and use the credits on that key until they run out that midnight. So dining would be covered all of Friday...and the flight leaves EARLY SATURDAY MORNING...so no need for dining credits!

And of course I am buying my park tickets separate from Undercover Tourist since I rented DVC points...so I already have Friday's park ticket, which I had planned on only using for 1/2 day anyway...

I wonder if I can get Sandy on facebook group to tell me if my reasoning works.

I missed a couple of trivia questions :guilty: but I'll admit, I didn't know the answers so it's ok. Make sure and choose an easy one for me tomorrow :thumbsup2

Boo looks very handsome for his first day of school, how sweet that he already has an admirer! I hear you on the yogurt place being too convenient, the kids latest thing is they want slurpees all of the time now from 7-11 and unfortunately we have 5 within a couple of miles of our house, you can't go anywhere without passing one.

Ahhh man...a 7/11...it has been years since a big gulp! Our thing is Sonic Happy Hour at least 1 time a week...there are 2 between my school and Ab's that we have to pass when picking her up...and now that dang yogurt place!

Boo looks good! Does he have a different winter break than Ab and Goo because he's at a different school?

Winter Break is a touchy subject with me this. I was on our district caledar committee when I hatched this great trip to Orlando based on the public school calendar Boo and I are on...usually the Catholic School has basically the same calendar (give or take a few religious holidays off). But this year with a new priest in charge he decided to start the Catholic School vacation early by 2 days and start back the Wednesday after New Years...when public starts January 6 (the following Monday)...which means Ab will miss 3 days of her 2nd semester...which I know is going to :scared1: her out when she realizes it!

oooh...yeah..yeah...yeah!! I misunderstood. yes, those credits will still be available through midnight.. I see now what you were talking about with not waiting unused credits. I think this makes your plan even more awesome!! Sooo.. I think it is a no brainer...book the night at POR. Plus... Disney will move your bags from BWV, right?

For the Cinderella night you can bake crown shaped cookies and let each kid decorate it (so the boys can make it more boyish and Ab can make it girly) with icing and candy and that doubles as a dessert! I do miss the princess movies:sad2:

Today's Question:
What Disney movie (non animated) did Jennifer Tilly play in? And what character did she play?

I know I made this one kinda hard...hee hee. Would love suggestions for this movie night! Also, bonus for information about the attraction this movie is tied to!

I know! I know!

She plays Madame Leota in The Haunted Mansion! Finally got one, of course I knew Briar Rose too but I was so busy yesterday that I didn't get on here.

Ok so info on The Haunted Mansion, I googled it :rotfl2:

Guests enter from Liberty Square.
An invisible phantom horse and hearse, this one black, also waits here.
One feature unique to the Florida mansion is a tombstone for Madame Leota. On it is a bronze carving of her face that, by way of animatronics, occasionally opens its eyes and looks around. In March of 2011 an interactive queue was added, featuring such elements as a murder mystery, a sea captain's grave that spits water, a musical crypt, a pipe organ, a library with moving books, and a book that writes itself. Many of the original graves were moved.
In the back of the pet cemetery (top left), there is a headstone of Mr. Toad in tribute to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, which closed in 1998.

As a bonus, if you are interested in doing a Haunted Mansion theme night like we did last Halloween here are some good ideas I found.
