2 Castles, 2 Send out 2011 & Ring in 2012...12 Days of Christmas

Well...tomorrow Goo starts Kindergarten, so FINALLY today I decided we needed to go and buy his uniforms (waiting til the last moment...). Afterwards he and I went out for frozen yogurt. I don't know about your area of the country but yogurt bars have suddenly become the rage around here. We now have 6 places in less than a year open. Basically they have about 10 machines with different flavored frozen yogurt...you fill your bowl, then pick toppings from the topping bar (from fruit, to nuts, candy...you name it) and then you weigh and pay). Today they had cherry amaretto yogurt...I think I have found my favorite.

Here is my little guy...new haircut, thanks dad for getting that done for me today too! I can't believe how fast he has grown up!

We have one like that in the mall that I work in..... SOOO glad it's on the other end or I would be in trouble!

goo looks so cute! We have some of those yogurt places. I love it bc I can get a very small quantity and don't feel like I'm killing my diet. I like to go right after a massage or shopping out in the heat and get exactly $1.39 worth of mint or vanilla with coconut and chocolate chips at 39c an ounce. That'll do me! :thumbsup2

You need to come next door to LA to get your massages!!! lol

Today's Question...
Madame, Medusa, Mr. Snoops, and the alligators Nero and Brutus are villains from what Disney movie?

The rescuers! I think I've only seen this movie once... maybe twice.

LOVE the movie nights. I can't wait till Alexa gets a little older to start doing them!

The rescuers! Funny personal trivia... my dd who is just about to turn 21 loved the second movie (Rescuers down under) When she was about 2 she would hound me saying "wanna watch Co -D" Brings back memories for me.

This was Ab's favorite movie when she was 4. She would come home from preschool telling about how she played rescuers at recess. Her Christmas ornament that year was Miss Bianca. It took me FOVEVER to find that one...what did we do before ebay?

:rotfl:

That is one of my all time favorite Disney movies. I think next week... maybe I will have to pick that one.

So the soup.. I have tried making it at home (with the recipe from all ears) and I didn't like it as much. I acutally just doctored up my potato cheddar soup recipe and called it Le Cellier's :rotfl:

What exactly is in the drink? It is sprite with frozen ice cubes of different colored kool-aide (you use 1/2 the amount of water and freeze). I used about 1/2 sleeve of koolaide and enough water to fill up about 1/2 the tray

Berry picking is one of my favorite late summer activities. Here though... it is blackberry. We tried to go up into the mountains to get huckleberries, but have yet to have that be sucessful. You really cannot do anything with these berries other than make some really yummy jelly...something my grandmorther taught me. The ain't called choke cherries for no reason...they are really sour! I am hoping to get up to the cabin midSept and find some rasberries...although if they are anything like the choke cherries the drought will not be good for them either.

As for the Tutt and Rutt commentary... I have heard it is very funny. I would be out ruled too though. We must have the same sense of humor and live with the same kind of people who have no humor!

I love this movie too!

Yep, I am in trouble now that school starts...there is a brand new one just a few blocks away...NO STRESS EATING!

I would love to take you up on that offer. I can't find anyone that I really like. The last GOOD one I had was a prenatal one...when I was desperate to find anyone that could get me into labor with Goo...did not work! Grrrr

The rescuers! I think I've only seen this movie once... maybe twice.

I am dating myself, but I think I remember seeing at the theater when I was about Goo's age!

I know you will have a great time with Alexa!

Love those movie night themes. You really are making them cool, even if you don't feel like you are - they are very creative.

How did you do the moose ears? And I'm with Ann - what's in the Northern Lights drink?

Those kids don't look too happy to be watching LK 1.5

You could always come over from Universal for a few hours and get a massage while were there! lol

Suffice it to say, working at the mall.. I've worked on as many ppl and as many hours in the last year as mean therapists have worked in years! :rotfl:

Thanks...but you should see what some people do on this thread I post too...:worship: I have not the talent or the time to compete with them!

The moose ears were just a couple of chocolate bars I melted in a zip lock baggie in the microwave...then snipped off and end and piped a 3 prong shape onto wax paper and smoothed out with my finger...then let cool in the freezer. The drink...It is sprite with frozen ice cubes of different colored kool-aide (you use 1/2 the amount of water and freeze). I used about 1/2 sleeve of koolaide and enough water to fill up about 1/2 the tray

I had forgotten the week before to take a picture of the title credit for Aladdin...so they had to take 2 pictures that night! :rotfl: They were worn out from swimming all day...and momma making them take pictures is not fun for them. Apparently my camera has a Killer flash on it...and they hate it! After watching Lion King 1 1/2 (cause my Lion King VCR tape died...and this was all they had at the library...can you believe that our only rental place did not have it...I need to get netflix).

You do not know how tempting that sounds...how far is your mall from Universal....:lmao:

Way to go Ashley....

Still looking to give some points away for information about the movie or ideas for movie night!

While I love this movie, I also hate it. The beginning is so wonderful...the friendship and all, but the ending is not one I really care to watch. Could Disney not found some way in the end it to be a happy ending! I hate animal movies in general, why can't animal movies ever be HAPPY!

Here is a picture of of Boo on his first day of school. The highlight of his day...a cute girl told him that he had pretty eyes! :lmao:

Had to celebrate a great day with some yogurt...did I tell you that this is not good having a yogurt bar so close to my school and on the way to pick up Ab from her school!

I missed a couple of trivia questions :guilty: but I'll admit, I didn't know the answers so it's ok. Make sure and choose an easy one for me tomorrow :thumbsup2

Boo looks very handsome for his first day of school, how sweet that he already has an admirer! I hear you on the yogurt place being too convenient, the kids latest thing is they want slurpees all of the time now from 7-11 and unfortunately we have 5 within a couple of miles of our house, you can't go anywhere without passing one.

Forgot to add that I loved the theme nights. We've got Brother Bear on our list and what a great idea to tie a fishing trip into it! I've made the cheddar soup from canada before and I'm going to steal your moose dessert!

Ok so she wants facts... I'll give her facts!

1.) 1981 release
2.) Based off of a novel
3.) 24th animated film and at the time was the most expensive. Cost 12million to create.
4.) Tod is voiced by Mickey Rooney and Copper is voiced by Kurt Russell.
5.) 360,000 drawings, 110,000 painted cels and 1,100 painted backgrounds making up the finished product.
6.)A total of 180 people, including 24 animators, worked on the film.
7.) It was the last of the "Walt Disney Classics".

Boo looks good! Does he have a different winter break than Ab and Goo because he's at a different school?
