2/9/2013 - Fantasy Mardi Gras Cruise *****

I'm so ready for 2/9 to get here! I can't wait. I love that it's both a Mardi Gras AND a Valentines Day cruise. :cheer2: I have an added bonus... it's my Birthday too.

We're going to spend three nights at AoA in the LM section before the cruise. We've never spent any time at the park before or after so this seems extra special to me. pixiedust:

Hi moremouse
We are staying in AoA pre-cruise too - for 4 nights in LM rooms. DS is really looking forward to the kids play areas. Not tried a value resort before but really like the idea of trying it when it is really new, and it looks great from the pics.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

To all the veteran cruisers-
We really want a cabana at CC. Since this is our 1st cruise, do we have a chance of getting one, or are they all snatched up by previous cruisers?

TIA.

Hi all! New to posting but have been following the boards since before our first Disney cruise in Jan. We (DH, DD-4 and myself) will be on this cruise having booked on board back in Jan. I saw that this is the Mardi-Gras cruise. Is there typically something special planned on board for this?

Hi All! The Roll Call that Photolisa started has been updated with an on-line form you can use to share or update your details, and to indicate whether you'd like to participate in the Fish Extender Exchange.

The form is here.

When you provide your information, it will be added to the Roll Call spreadsheet, and once your identity is verified by our team of specialists :surfweb: you will receive an email granting access to the spreadsheet.

There's no obligation implied - but this is a more secure and private way to provide contact details with other interested cruisers, to make it easier to connect with people before and after our cruise.

As the sail date approaches, we'll close the FE list membership so people can get their shopping and crafting done. If anyone has any opinions about how they'd like to see the FE list(s) run - sound out!

Cheers - David (DH of Mog's Mom)

THANKS DAVID....We are looking forward to meeting everyone and sailing again with the Mouse & Others. This cruise can't get here fast enough... ::yes::

Good morning everyone. Just wanted to let you know that Steve and I will be canceling this cruise today as we made reservations on the September 2013 PC that debarks in Galveston. We only live 3 hours from Galveston and had always wanted to cruise through the Panama Canal.

We wish you'll luck, health and tons of fun and hope to meet you all on a future cruise.

I've been busy! We now have an easy way for people on the Roll Call list to get an email with their own info, or with the entire Roll Call! This works for everyone... you don't need to have a Google account.

Requests may be submitted here.

Generally, you should get a response in an hour or less, but it could take a day or more if we hit any of Google's restrictions. Let me know if you run into any issues.

New folks will still need to wait for me to get around to reviewing their initial submission before they can view the whole Roll Call list - until they've been approved, they will only be able to see their own data.

Cheers - David (DH of Mog's Mom)

We just booked a short AoA stay from the 6-9th before the cruise at Disney World. We also booked half of our plane tickets. We booked the flight to Orlando only as Southwest is only taking reservation through 2/13/13. We will have to wait to book the flight home till they open up the dates :rolleyes2

Just booked a few minutes ago! Myself, DH and two DD's. First time on a Disney cruise!

Very excited!

Jen

Wanted to mention that DD #1 will be 12 (almost 13) and DD #2 will b e 7 at the time of the cruise. I'm sure my tween would love to be in communication with others that are cruising at the same time. Seems there are a lot at that age!

We are from the Northshore outside of New Orleans.

I filled out the roll call form (the longer one) and said no to FE, but only because I haven't really looked into it yet.

We booked the first leg, as well through Southwest leaving on the 6th. The prices were great. $110.00 from Denver. I have not seen that price in a few years.
I have not booked our room, yet. My family is still unsure. Having just 3 nights at Disney puts the pressure on! We are wanting to just focus on one or 2 parks. My DH despises the buses...:upsidedow

We are also from the Northside of New Orleans, and have a son who will be 13 at time of cruise. It looks like that will be a large group of kids the same age.

Looking forward to a great trip:joker:

I liked the idea someone earlier had of getting them all in touch ahead of time. Is anyone else up for that? Any ideas on how to do it? Facebook or just share emails?

Jen

Hello everyone! Life has been busy here at our new home in Baton Rouge and I apologize for not checking in.

The stress of booking airlines reservations is now over since Southwest opened up the schedule to include our return date. If you are needing to book your return, go now to do it!

The rates leaving New Orleans were more expensive than usual probably because SWA knew people would be trying to leave the city following the Superbowl and before Mardi Gras if they needed to; however, the rates to get back home were NICE!!

Thanks so much to David who stepped up to automate the collecting and dissemination of information! I love that there is someone that is more of a computer whiz than I am that has offered to help!!

Time for me to get prepared to begin my day with my 4 month old granddaughter who should be arriving within the hour to begin our weekday routine!

Have a great day everyone!
