2/9/2008 - Valentine Cruise 7 Night Western - Anyone On The Love Boat ?

What stateroom are you in? 6634
Which Dinner seating? Early, we typically have dinner between 515-630 at home already...so this seemed to work out for us.
Any favorite waitstaff or cast members? Our fav would of had to have been Adrian (from England) and the Asst Servers name slips my mind right now but she was from Hungary. I've heard the Adrian is now a Head Server or Din Rm Mgr, so we're just going to hope for another great team this time around.

We are in stateroom 5514 (Cat 8) we are hoping to move to deck 6 or 7 when someone cancels.

We are on the second dinner seating this time, we had the early one in the med but found that you missed out on valuable sunbathing time having to get ready for 6pm dinner!!

Our servers where Giresh and Laura, both were excellent and would definitely have them again.

The last we heard Adrian was leaving the ship to get married and not returning. He was our server on our second 7 night cruise and we even ran in to him at the airport coming home from our cruise last September. Our best friends were on in January and we had them request Adrain and he was their server. He was finishing up that contract and then leaving for good.

Of course plans change, maybe he'll be back.

Good to know. He truely made our dining a memorable experience. It would be nice to see him again. We hadn't been on the ship since July 2004.....so, I wasn't sure who we'd run into again.

It looks like everyone will be on the Late Seating.....now I'm wondering if i made a good choice. Hmmmmm.....

Hello :wave2:

We are in 6052 and my daughter is in 6054. I don't remember where my sons are but one has an inside cabin on deck two and the other has a 'secret porthole room'.

I don't know where the other family members are.

We all have First seating except my one son and daughter in law and they are wait listed for it.

I don't think I ever answered this question before so here it goes:

Room 7620, late dining which has always worked out great for us, and our favorite server is Subash. He had me trying all of these different wines on our last cruise and our booze tab was close to $400!! I think I might be better off with another server so I can spend more money on other things!

Welcome to everyone new! We are a lively bunch and counting down until we can relax and enjoy!

Laura

We stayed at the airport Hyatt in January, so we'll probably do that again, my daughter loved all the shops and sitting out on our room balcony watching the planes take off and land. Thanks for the suggestion though!!

We are booked in at the Hyatt 8th Feb, is it at nice as it looks on the web site?

Ian

It is VERY nice!! We loved that there were plenty of shops as well as the pool to keep us all busy. The best part? being on the first bus to the cruise terminal!! I told Ariana that you booked and she is so excited to have you sharing the same hotel!!

Hoping that Hurricane Dean doesn't hurt all these islands too badly, especially Grand Caymen and Cozumel.

We got our seats on the flight confirmed yesterday, never done a 9 hour flight before:scared1: i'm looking forward to it but I don't think my backside is:rotfl2:

Flights to the US are always quoted as 9 hours, but we have often found that it actually takes a little over 8 hours, on the way out there at least, and half an hour of that has been landing time :confused3 I think they quote 9 hours because it can take that long if the winds etc are not favourable.

Who are you flying with ? we are flying with Virgin - but only because we are staying 18 days - otherwise we would have flown charter, with TCD again.

That picture was DEFINITELY worth waiting for!!!
:rotfl:

Will we get a repeat performance in February?:dancer:

It is not only our right, but our job as parents to embarrass our children.
:cool1:

Never loose sight of that little pearl of wisdom!!

Not quite what I was expecting...:rotfl:

.....thought it was going to be a replacement for "Dreams" or "Hercules" you were going to show us

...unless of course it is and Disney are making cut backs to their productions
