2/13/2011 Disney Dream 4 Day Cruise

The above was posted yesterday (3 August). However, it is 194 days from 3 August 2010 until 13 February 2011! (If you do not agree, try determining it in a spreadsheet.)

I was allowing the program that makes the countdown in my signature to give me the number. I have not tested it against the calendar or a spreadsheet.

Sorry guys we are bowing out, we are going to cruise the Mexican Riviera on the same dates with my cousins from Ohio. I hope you guys have an AWESOME cruise.

Considering another cruise for the end of the year 2011 (in addition to this one). I'm considering taking my sister in law, along with my family (5). So there would be six of us. Maybe seven if I was able to talk my mother into it too.... What would the most cost effective rooming options be? Two rooms? The two bedroom suite?

My baby will be 3.5 at that point next year, so he no longer qualifies as a baby.... what have you done before?

I would think that two inside cabins would still be cheaper than the suite but do not know for sure.

2 closets...er, inside staterooms (it's all we've ever had! ), are DEFINITELY cheaper than a suite!

but most closets do not have virtual port holes!

Ahhh... virtual portholes! Good thinking! My sister in law is deaf, and while that isn't a problem for us, if my kids (especially my boys) are running around, I certainly would not feel comfortable with them running between rooms with verandahs. If she wasn't looking at them, she wouldn't know if they needed help or were in trouble etc. Inside staterooms it is.

We booked an inside cabin for the virtual porthole ..... plus I am very cheap!

My only conumdrum is if DCL offers us a free upgrade like they did on our Transatlantic On one hand I really want to experience the virtual porthole but a free larger room with a verandah .....

Since they opened the Cove Cafe a couple of years ago my DW and I have begun to visit there often to just sit and sip a latte. It's even better with friends.

One thing that I do everyday is get up early and go up to Deck 9 for coffee. While there I watch the sun rise. It is the most peaceful and beautiful experience that you can imagine.

I only saw one sun rise on the cruise we were on.... maybe I'll see one more on this one!! I imagine that it is a beautiful sight though- I know the one I saw on our last day sure was!!

Here's my wish list:
1. Ride the water slide!!!!
2. Check out adults only stuff
3. Lunch at Palo's
4. Sit, and enjoy the view...
5. Treat myself to something at the spa.
6. Try not to call my kids every day!!

Even if the ship-to-shore rates don't scare you all you have to do is turn the phone off and lock it in the safe! That is what we do.

ha!! We certainly wouldn't be calling from the cruise- but we would before the cruise while in the parks. The cruise will be NO KID zone for us!!

Hi Everyone – This is my 1st DIS post or any post for that matter

DH, DD(12), DS(10) and I will be on the Disney Dream Feb 13th. I agree with a lot of the post that the crusie should be longer. So, we booked our 1st Back to Back Disney Cruise. We are also going on the Feb 17th as well.

Question:
I was told we didn’t have to disembark. Also since we have the same stateroom for both cruises we can leave our things in the cabin. Dose anyone know where on the ship we go during the disembark?

Hello. DW and I are also doing the 2/13 and 2/17 cruises B2B! There are several threads on the subject of B2B cruising and how it works. One is at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2537191&highlight=b2b . It seems that you do have to reboard even if you are not changing rooms (and we aren't either). However, we can leave all of our things in the rooms. --Dave & Jackie

Hey Acutarian & Disney1430 (Welcome to the Disboards!) - we're doing the B2B, too!! We, like you guys, have the same room & were told that you disembark & stay in the terminal, then they let you in before anyone else...or w/ the VIPs . Is this what you guys were told as well? I'll check out the links, Acu, thanks.
