***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

We've never seen Wishes...ever... Does that change your answer? We do plan to eat appetizers along the way on our resort crawl that whole day, so we shouldn't be very hungry.

Yeah, that's a tough one. But, I think seeing it from the Contemporary view and seeing it in person are 2 different things. Who knows when you could see them from the CR again, you know?? (I know, I'm no help at all!)

Forgot to include, visiting WDW December 5-9 with DD20... Mother daughter Christmas fun!

Last night he saw me on the Disboards and he made fun of me for talking about Disney with you guys...I gave him "the look" and said he should be thankful I'm not just talking his ear off about it any more!

Did you guys see that they announced the special Sorcerer whatever card for MVMCP? It's Goofy. DH is interested in finding out more about this; he thinks it would be cool to do something interactive because they didn't have that he last time we visited.

I did see that! I know you can stop at the Firehouse (?) each day you enter MK and pick up a pack of Sorcerer cards per person. With 6 of us going to MK on 4 different days, we should have quite the collection by the time we're done this year!

I found out that Gasparilla's Grill at GF will be closed during our stay, so I am planning to book a couple of breakfast ADR's, one of them will be Trail's End, our favorite breakfast buffet. I usually overdose on their bacon.

Why oh why did you have to mention a bacon overdose! I have no breakfast reservations for myself, but I have 2 possible mornings when I could fit one in, and now I'm thinking a bacon overdose at a buffet sounds like an amazing idea. Off to the reservations site I go!

And actually, if anyone has any breakfast buffet recommendations that are not in the parks, please feel free to share them! One possible morning, Thurs 12/8, is when I'll be hopping from Saratoga Springs to OKW and then doing the monorail tour to see the resort decorations, before MVMCP that evening. The other possible morning, Sun 12/11, is my last day, since my flight isn't until 3:30pm. I will be staying at OKW at that point.

EDIT: Aaand, I answered my own question! Lol. Just booked Boma @9am for my departure day. I love that restaurant, but have only had dinner there, never breakfast. AKL is my all time fave resort, so I'll have breakfast, wander around the resort a little bit, and then head back to OKW to catch DME @12:30ish. Plus, this means one more resort to check out the Christmas decor! Woot!

I have Epcot on 12/7 as well--at least the first half of the day. . . but have an ADR at La Hacienda for 7:45 dinner just in case we stay. . .

That's my Epcot day too, lol. SE @10am, Soarin @11am, M:S @12:10pm. CP Dining Package reservation at Teppan Edo at 5pm for the 8:15pm CP show.


Also, Disney addict alert: today I let my cell phone keep ringing twice, when I knew it was telemarketer calls, so I could listen to the Soarin' theme song that is my ringtone

We are just about all set. Waiting on ROL like everyone else. Other than that we just need to book transportation to and from the airport. We found out the car service we have used for many years no longer does early or late drop offs and pickups. We can use them to go back home from the airport but are researching ways to get there for our early flight. Has anyone on here used Super Shuttle? We booked our rental car a few weeks ago as we kept hoping the price would go down and we think it is the best it is going to get but I will keep checking. We got our toiletries and sunblock over the weekend. Darn, I forgot batteries. Just think in a few weeks we will probably receive in the mail our packet with vouchers and then luggage tags/MBs. I can't wait for my purple!

I know what you mean. Someone mentioned shirts on Etsy and of course I saw 2 designs that my family loved as well so we splurged and ordered both. We are waiting for that to arrive.

Budget-minded TIP: for anyone who has not gotten INTO this game, (and wants to, lol) bring a smallish "trading card" notebook with you. I got a Pokemon one with Pikachu on the front at Walmart for pretty cheap. Of course, I drew "mouse ears" on him!
The cards can work together for the SOTMK game, and you just have to hold them up so a camera registers the image. Instead of fussing with a deck of cards, you can flip through and hold up the page you want to use (or at the very least, FIND the card you want to use).
They sell giant portfolios at MK specifically for SOTMK, but they are too big for me to try to lug around the park. The game is fun, and a good way to take a minute and chill in between the rushing around.

Nice! We overlap 12/3 but we'll only be there for jibjab, 12/7 Epcot in the morning, and 12/8 5-7 only since we're there for the party only I'll be looking out for tags everywhere!

The only bad news is that our names are low enough that our cute 1950s skirt idea isn't going to work, since we'd be tucking them in for that. Leaning now toward either black shorts and the elf-y striped tights or doing solid pants, since roomie already has red ones. That'll just give me a reason to come up with some sort of fabulously festive headpiece instead.

This morning I woke up with a "fear" that RoL will be released one of the last days of our trip. And I'd just HAVE to make it work, since right now I only have a free night for it on an earlier day. I'm freaking out about this possibility! Lol
But in all seriousness, I'm thinking of having backup plans now in the event that it does happen which involves quite a few changes

- being able to Switch party dates
-Needing another dessert party reservation
Having to change fp for a MK park day
.... In other words.. Probably not worth it

The only way I could fit it in if this were the case would be to add park hoppers. And I don't think it's worth that for us..

I think that is highly unlikely. I feel if they can't open for thanksgiving they won't open until after christmas.

We are definitely doing this, probably a little during the party, but haven't worked out the details yet. I actually bought a bunch of unopened card packs on ebay. Guy guaranteed every card was in there, but I'm giving them to my nephew as part of the surprise so I don't know!

@PlutosUnDr8d totally agree about that official card notebook.... looks HUGE. I got a trading card book for about $9 on amazon.

Last night I stayed up until 1am making us personalized shirts on Zazzle.
I made myself one that is Rapunzel themed and says "Best Day Ever",
and made DH and I matching shirts with Donald and Daisy that say "Donald is my homeboy" and "Daisy is my homegirl". I hope they come out okay! For $70 for 3 shirts they'd better or DH will kill me!

lol "best day ever" reminds me of the "stupid cat" video. If you don't mind bad language (so if you're offended just ignore this) google "i'm a stupid cat video". seriously makes me crack up whenever I see it. If you are a cat person it is especially good.

Ok, this made me giggle. I think we all know how unpredictable Florida weather can be. Just for fun I was googling average December weather in Orlando, cause I am totally in trip-obsession mode, and I found this. Apparently, Accuweather has actual daily forecasts for this coming December already!

I mean come on, they expect us to believe that they can predict that Friday, 12/9 will have a shower and pm wind? lol

I got my latest Disney Store order today-- holiday Disney pajamas for kids (wish I'd ordered some for me!), Anna costume boots for my DD's Halloween costume, and a little something for me. I'm in love with my new sweater for chilly (maybe or maybe not) Florida December weather. It's even prettier in person!

TP reservation finder came through for once and I got a CRT on our party night for 6:55pm. I'm going to keep looking for a little earlier, but this could be a keeper.

My Disney Store order arrived today, but I was so busy with outdoor projects (stacking hay, mowing a few acres, etc) that I haven't opened it yet. I wish I could have that kind of self control when it comes to junk food!
