***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Question of the day:
now that we are all mostly booked, what are the 3 things (in no particular order) you are most looking forward to in your trip? Can be anything, a ride, a restaurant, resort, event, whatever is making you most excited about your trip. Love to hear what other people are looking forward to. I will post my own later :)
1) MVMCP--special experiences with my 10 y.o.
2) CP with Whoopi Goldberg--have never seen CP, and my son is old enough to appreciate it now
3) JBJB dessert party--finding out who the VIP guest will be, and seeing the show from a (hopefully) great spot!

1. MVMCP - esp hope to meet 7 dwarfs
2. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train & Frozen Ride
3. California Grill, Jiko, and just about all the restaurants I have ADRs for :-)

I love this question :) I'm still working on posting my itinerary (I will get to it soon @Candycane83 !! ) I just haven't narrowed it down to the right fp yet....

This is tough :) But I think the 3 things I a most looking forward to are: (and I KNOW these sound corny..)

1) I am excited about the MVMCP. I think the girls will love the cookies and cocoa, and they just like being anywhere at night. They will love the fireworks.
2) My 4 year old has loved Pooh since she was a baby. I cannot wait to surprise her with meeting him at our CP breakfast. I think the family will also feel a bit extra special getting into the parks early with any PPO or EMM.
3) My parents seeing all of the changes since we've grown up there 20 years or so ago; and them enjoying seeing the kids love it like I did; and hopefully finally proving to them that I really DID have work my butt off to get some awesome events/adrs/experiences/ flow of events, etc :) lol for our family!!

Is that technically more than 3? There is a great possibility that these will change if I spend more time thinking about them :)
I have to admit, I was all warm and fuzzy at CP--I had my son take a pic of me with Eeyore (squeal!), who is one of my faves aside from Pooh. And Tigger. And Piglet. Okay, so I am a big child myself, but I really enjoyed CP lunch last year--nothing like a hug from a melancholy donkey to make one's day!

(1) seeing the awe on the face of my kids for every "first" they see at Disney- our hotel room, the MK itself, the castle, the first ride, first character they encounterer, etc
(2) celebrating my daughter's birthday frozen style with a princess dinner at Akershus, riding FEA and meeting Anna and Elsa!
(3) sharing our fun with with my best friend and her DD who she adopted a few months ago and we get to meet for the first time!

Hmmm...

1.) getting DH to admit he likes Disney as much as I do (oops no maybe not :rotfl2:)

Starting again... :rotfl:

1.) seeing everything through DS's eyes. It'll all be a surprise for us as this will be his first vacation and our first vacation as a family. I really hope he has a good time :lovestruc

2.) seeing everything Christmas- from resort decor to mvmcp to the Epcot storytellers to jibjab (I'm cheating:rotfl2:)

3.) nighttime entertainment. Of all things, I love Disney at night! Everything seems so pretty with all the lights and details seem to pop out.

Can I add food too? LOL! Such an important part of our trip though I recognize that it's not really the food but just anything at Disney seem to be better for me :rolleyes1

We need a separate list for food! What food are you looking forward to the most?

I love reading everybody's answers!

1.) MVMCP. I had a blast at MNSSHP two years ago, and I love Christmas even more than Halloween, so I'm super excited!

2.) Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian. This will be a nice break in our party day where roomie and I get to get away from my crazy big family for a couple of hours and do something fancy and very "us". We are such tea people, and neither of us have ever been to a legitimate afternoon tea.

3.) The Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour. This is roomie's early Christmas present, and she loves Haunted Mansion (of course, I do too!) so I cannot wait for the behind the scenes part. She is going to lose her mind, and I can't wait to see and hear some insider knowledge on that and the other rides/lands on the tour.

BONUS 4.) The Candlelight Processional. This is probably way more than anybody needs to know about me, but here we go anyway. I grew up in church, but as an adult I have a hard time reconciling my personal more liberal beliefs with those of the very Southern conservative churches in my area, so I don't go anymore. I just try to lead my life in a positive way and still follow a lot of what I learned growing up. And for the most part, I'm okay with that, but I really get to missing it during the holidays because I love all the traditional things about Christmas, the hymns and the stories, so I'm really excited to get to go to something that will sort of fill in that hole for me this year.

I can always talk about food!

1.) I am super pumped for ice cream at Beaches & Cream!

2.) I want to try the ratatouille at Be Our Guest. Random, yes, but both Roomie and I want to try it, so one of us will get that, and the other get something else so we can share!

3.) I'm really excited about lunch at Sanaa. I'm probably like a 65% adventurous eater, so it's kind of a stretch for me, but the bread service sounds divine.

more than 3 is totally ok :)

Yes, let's split off food! That gives me 3 full slots for 1 and 3 full for the other.

What are the 3 meals/snacks/items/food related experiences you are most looking forward to on your trip?

I don't think kids are even allowed, it is adults only.
It's pretty pricey...I think I'd rather spend the money on a signature restaurant.

Speaking of food I want to try:
1) french onion soup at bog. I love soup!
2) pb & j milkshake at 50s prime time. Everyone raves about this and I'm curious.
3) school bread from Norway pavilion. I love coconut!

Ok, this is really tough to narrow down to just 3 things!

- Everything Christmas (kind of a cheat answer, lol)! I am a Christmas nut and it's been on my bucket list to see and do all the Christmas stuff at WDW. Last year I got a super tiny taste of it, when I did a 1 night trip just to see the Osborne Lights, since I'd never seen them, and it was my last chance. I can't wait for everything to be full of Christmasyness!

- Finally seeing Soarin' with the new movie! It's one of my favorite rides and I've been waiting forever for them to update it!

- Getting another opportunity to see AK in the dark. I was able to swing it only once before, several years ago, when evening EMH worked out with sunset. It's already one of my favorite parks and it takes on a whole different atmosphere in the dark!

I could keep this list going endlessly, lol, but I will be strong and stop here!

1) MVMCP - like everybody else. Went in 2011, but missed parade. NOT missing parade this time!

2) CP - didn't do this in 2011, really excited about doing it this time even without knowing who the narrator is. I'm a singer and LOVE this type of thing!

3) JBJB - I'm sort of a Christmas fanatic. Didn't really care about the star wars party, but really excited for this one!

Bonus - my top 3 ADRS I'm most excited about -
1) CP PPO Breakfast - never done this, but have always wanted to!
2) H&V Minnies seasonal dine - again - it's Christmas themed!
3) Chef's de France - it's our favorite!

I think you are not alone in this Bonus! I feel very much the same way, although I was raised episcopalian. Lived in the south and was just turned off by the super conservative attitudes. I miss church at Christmas more than any other time of year. Grew up singing in church so super excited for CP!

TOP 3 ADRs I'm most looking forward to: (I can't say all right? :rotfl:)
1.) Minnie's Holiday Dine (so Christmassy)
2.) California Grill Brunch
3.) hmmm... last one... ummm... I pick Coral Reef for nostalgia (went with my own family more than 20 years ago I think)

TOP 3 snacks:
1.) Amorette's! (not a snack credit but those cakes look pretty darn good)
2.) Dole Whip (w/ rum) :drinking1
3.) Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich from France

I'm really looking forward to everything for food... which is why I'm thinking about that dining review. Maybe I should go for a trip report too ... :woohoo:

There's a coconut white chocolate gelato at France (L'Artisan) ;) One of other things that I want to try...
