***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

yes, as I said it can be very confusing and I think a lot of people are messing stuff up. I doubt disney closed the loophole just for MVMCP after leaving it open for MNSSHP. But you have to really understand what you are doing or it can be very confusing.
Yeeaaahhh... Sooo.. I totally get @Wood Nymph 's idea that linked mvmcp tickets will not allow fp if you book fp for a park you're going to in the am ( AK). BUT, without any difficult fiddling, can a newbie like me choose to book the 3 fp for the second park instead (MK for mvmcp)? I can do that I think :)?

Well, hopefully it'll work okay for me. I'm not trying to make two sets of fastpasses for one day, just wanting to use the party ticket to hold on to fastpasses I will have already made with a regular park ticket. It makes sense but it's hard to explain to someone else! lol

Ok, so how bad is Chef Mickeys brunch, especially a 2:20 ADR? We are going to MVMCP at 4pm, figured it was plenty of time to get over to MK. Since it's our only night at WDW, I wanted to cram as much as I could in without wasting time at the park. Our original plan was to hang out at Universal in the morning and maybe doing a big lunch at CityWalk before moving to WDW and doing Cape May the next morning (unless I grab Ohana or even Kona), but I saw the CM ADR and grabbed it. My kids are 3 & 6, I'm sure they'll like it. It can't be that bad, can it?

I've heard horror stories about this but I think @areno79 has a dinner reservation for this and does like it... I have a breakfast reservation. I think as long as your expectations of the food are not too high, you would be ok?? (I have not been so I can't really say for sure...)

I haven't tried this yet, but they talk about how you can umbrella your phantoms so that you can make fp+ for them when your 60 day window opens. I think the steps are to make the fp+s for the party ticket phantoms but include one of the people on the room reservation who has a ticket. Then, from what I understand, after you have made those fp+s, you can delete the real ticket holder and the phantoms' fp+ will remain.

Note to self - I'll have to try this. ;)
this is advanced ++, you need to know what you are doing or could be in for a rude surprise, lol. obviously you do but I am not sure that I would even attempt this! I do have phantoms but they are not in my room on christmas party night so I will be happy with the 30 day. I am going to try to make 7DMT and PP at 60 days on my regular tickets and pooh and haunted mansion (so much better at night lol). I will try to pair PP and HM at the same FP+ time period and pooh and 7DMT for the same period.

Right now at 30 days out from a Friday (which is MNSSHP night) I could get pooh at 5:30-6:30 (and it appears that they no longer offer FP+ later than 5:30 on party nights so no worries there) and I can get HM and 4:25-5:35. I'm not really sure what else to get honestly... maybe I will do HM the night before at EMH (really late at night) and do another fantasyland FP+ like dumbo or small world, but that seems kind of like a waste of time. it just seems like fantasyland is where I want to kick off my night and maybe come back to main street via liberty square for waffle treats. I'd like to do the rest of fantasyland too if I can - dumbo, small world, barnstormer, carousel. not sure what I will do after fireworks, will play it by ear based on wait times but I expect the adventureland stuff to be pretty accessible during that time.

Any opinions on what my 4th fp+ should be for that night?

I am planning to go to MK the night before wedn 12/7) when I'm sure it will be packed and I will do fp+ space mountain, tomorrowland speedway, and buzz but then shift some things around if I can grab a SDFP for buzz that overlaps either tomorrowland speedway or space mountain. I have dinner at narcoossees at 5:30 so i will aim for 7-8, 8-9 and 9-10 time periods. there is a lot of other stuff we can do in between though in tomorrowland that take some time.

then for my actual DAY at MK I am planning to FP+ Splash mountain, BTMRR, and Jungle cruise. SDFP targets will be pirates, magic carpets, maybe a second time on splash. My FP+ times will be 11-12, 12-1, 12-2 and hoping to get 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 or something like that as subsequent FPs after using the first ones up. Maybe back to tomorrowland for the afternoon.

I'm being very vague. mostly looking for feedback on my MVMCP FP+. 4:30-5:30 i sthe earliest window I can realistically do (or any window ending by 5:15 I think) because I have 3:30 ohana.

Nothing to do with the party... but do you plan to watch FoF, tree lighting ceremony, castle lighting, some other misc shows? I'm having a hard time trying to fit everything in!!! I only have 1 night at MK and 1 party night...

It is very confusing, especially with party tickets. That is why I would not try to reassign them to someone else for the purposes of SDFP. I think that gets messy. :(
yes I am keeping it pretty clean. i have a split stay. I have phantoms in my first night of my one night only stay, 4 people total (I am DVC so it cost nothing to do this). I have magicbands assigned to them. I have party tickets assigned to them. I am planning to decorate those magicbands as christmas and we will use them for admission to the christmas party and for FP+ 30 days out on christmas party day and SDFP every other day. I will use my regular magic bands for regular admission and FP+ 60 days out every other day. I think that works and is clean. Back to work for me though!

i don't care if i miss FoF. I might catch it in frontierland if we are tired and want to rest and wait fo rit. we'll see. Tree lighting, meh. Castle lighting, won't we see that party night? or maybe will see it the night before, before regular wishes fireworks. what times does it happen? we don't do a lot of misc shows, kiddo is not that interested. he'd rather do rides.

back to work for me now. later taters!

I think 6:15 and 8pm is the schedule I saw at wdw prep school right now... :)

not sure exactly what you are asking?

You can enter MK for MVMCP at 4pm. You can book 3FP+ using the MVMCP admission entitlement if it is assigned to a phantom. I have not had time to follow other people's issues but I believe that if you want to book FP+ for when you are going to be in MK prior to the official start of the christmas party you can do that. I'm not sure if it will let you book all day or at a different park or ONLY when your admission is actually valid. If this is the case, the most FP+ you can get in advance is 2 because the latest FP+ return time is 6:30, not 7. But maybe it will let you do 3:30-4:30, 4:30-5:30 & 5:30-6:30. @Wood Nymph ?

Does anyone know more about illuminations fp? I was contemplating trying to make it for the show, but worried about getting out of the park in a decent amount of time :( do the fp seats place you in a nice viewing location and a good location to beat the crowds to the exit to the monorail? Thanks!!

Ahhh yes that makes sense! This is what I'll plan. But my mvmcp tickets are linked, so I'm not sure if I can do it . I'll just have to try :)

on party night or every night? can't be party night, the parade would conflict.

if 6:15 is the best maybe we can meet for castle lighting, stake out some seats and then do our rotation for holding them. it is VERY on the early side but the location is convenient.

If your party tickets are linked to phantoms that are on your room reservation, wouldn't you be able to make FP at 60 days out like any onsite guest? I currently have 2 phantoms on my room reservation also because it didn't cost anything to do it and I'll get the 2 extra MBs from Disney.

I think it puts you as close to futureworld as possible. which is closest to the monorail. it's a good location, right on center. but honestly there are MANY good locations. they are not lying when they say that there are many good locations all around the lagoon. the show is not "sided", it is really designed in 360 so it looks great from all vantage points. The bigger issue is whether there are trees or islands in the way. that you should scope out maybe in daylight. there is nothing in the way from the FP+ location though.

I believe so. bye for reals!

All of this FP+ and MVMCP is making my head spin!!

I think I'm confused because I'm setting up 2 phantoms on my MDE acct for SDFP. I'm just not sure how I should handle ordering MVMCP tix so that I can book 3 FP+ for party day (we're not doing any parks in the AM that day.)

I think that what was written... not sure if that's everyday... but if the parade is 8:30?, then it would still be before then?

Yes, DH and I have done Chef Mickey's every visit to FL. Even when we didn't do "Disney", we still went to Chef Mickey's. Even this trip; just the 2 of us, and we're still doing Chef Mickey's.
We love the mashed potatoes. LOL I know it's silly, but it's one of our favorite dishes there.
The food is good buffet food. It's not fine dining by any means, and yes it's loud, but the character interaction is great, the atmosphere is boisterous, and we love the convenience of it being right by MK.
We usually do dinner, but we did do lunch before and it wasn't nearly as loud and busy.
