***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

The other report I've seen regarding MVMCP tickets, is that some people have NOT been able to make fastpasses with just their party tickets. There have been scattered reports. I've been thinking about making a thread but haven't been sure exactly what it is I want to know so I haven't done it yet! lol Anyway, it's just something to watch. It seems it has only been a problem for certain MVMCP tickets and hasn't been an issue with the Halloween tickets.
I've been following the issue too since I haven't bought my MVMCP tix yet and wanted to see if it depends on mailed tix vs. print at home but that doesn't (shouldn't) matter. I think some of the people having issues had FP+ scheduled for earlier in the day/other parks, or they were looking for something 7-12 during the party

We have our tickets for 12/1!! We purchased them in July.

We really need something to tag everyone one in the park, like other have suggested. Other wise one of us might elbow the other getting that perfect parade/fireworks spot.....

I like the idea of the lime green bandana/ribbon tied to backpacks or strollers.
Seems we have great times for potential meet.... 11/29 EMM, 12/1 MVMCP, 12/3 Starwars dessert, 12/8 MVMCP.... along with various overlapping parks days

We can all share a Dole whip!

First I was thinking red or maybe lime green but, given the Christmas season, maybe something like orange or bright yellow would be better? What does everyone think?

I know everyone's priorities are different, and that family time is incredibly precious. Maybe one day someone will want to wear the identifying color but the next day they don't and prefer to feel/be completely anonymous. I think it might be important to establish that this would be respected. Totally ZERO pressure sort of thing. :) You can participate one day but not the next, or all days if you'd like. Whatever your preference is will be perfect! :flower:

I'm all for this! Whichever color we decide to use :) I'll definitely need to go shopping before this trip! :rotfl:

I can't keep up. Popped in at work but had 24 notifications lol. I need to keep my nose to the grindstone next couple of days. maybe can catch up tonight but need to cook southwest corn chowder for the BF who is coming home from a week on a navy ship in the gulf. we'll see. I miss you guys! please someone keep a readers digest version of anything important lol.
LOL, me too! i popped in work and saw all the posts! I need to do a mini catch up!

Oh one more thing... If plans have not changed, I think @Lisa F and @areno79 and I are planning to hold spots for the first parade 12/8 and take turns. If you're up for it, we could definitely use more ppl. (Disclaimer: I ahve a 6:20pm BOG right now but Im trying to get an earlier reservation...)

I have also been confused as to how it will work to book FPs for my party date. We have 6 day park hoppers, but are actually going to the parks 7 days with the MVMCP ticket. So I'm wondering if at our 60 day FP date, will we be able to book just 6 days of FPs, or 7 days if we link the party tickets to our real MDE profiles? I originally was not going to link the party tickets so that they could be used for SDFPs. But now I have the voided set of party tickets from changing my party date. Now I can link the right ones and still have the voided ones to use for SDFP.

I like the idea of some kind of nametag/label to identify each other. I also like the idea of meetups. It's just me and the DH and even though it's our belated honeymoon, and our first trip together in 4.5 years, we'll get sick of each other and enjoy talking to someone else for a while I'm sure! I'm an introvert so I don't often strike up conversations with CMs/wait staff/bartenders like I think a lot of people tend to do on their trips. I want to, but I'll have to work at it.

last post for right now i swear. I think this is still the plan and I think with the exception of @Candycane83 who may be in her dinner reservation at that time, we ALL need to meet and stake out an appropriate amount of space right at whatever time we decide. We can figure out in advance how to divide up the time but I think we all need to be there right at the beginning so we save the appropriate amount of space. it could be kind of a big group. Also we need some way to mark out the space - I will be carrying ponchos to WDW with me but won't carry them if no rain is expected but I can bring them with me to the party for the purposes of seat saving as they stretch out quite far. Or @areno79 and her DH can just lay down and save about 12' of curb, lol. we can start a pm chain to discuss logistics but I just wanted to throw that thought out there!

also I think @Talby is in now too since she changed her date.

Thank you! Can I ask, do you just reserve them on your party day on fp window day just like any other park day?

Actually depending on what time you guys would like to start waiting, I could bring the stroller over and leave it there along with ponchos. Thinking about bringing some of DS2's old swaddling cloths that can open up to save more room :P

Maybe we could design some tag that is unique to us that we all print out and attach to our strollers or backpacks? I'm not very artistic, so don't look at me to execute on the idea, but just a thought...

That's a great idea. You could post your request for a design in the CreativeDISigners thread, someone there would be happy to help for free. They are pretty talented over there and always seem happy to design custom.

Thank you for the suggestion @serenitynow; I posted the request on that thread, asking for something that incorporated 1st Week of December with Disney/Christmas since there'd been such a talk of lime green or red for the holidays in the bandanna colors. We'll see if they can create something and then if you all want to use it!

I have a question --

I'm working on our binder and I've never noticed in MDE, the button that says "want to skip the front desk?" Does that link work at the 60 day mark? Or is it just there to tease us, and not work (thanks Disney IT :rolleyes1)

Do they advertise which shorts? My kids love them, but we have seen many of the recent ones that came out with the newish release movies. If they are ones we haven't seen I definitely want to pop in!
I'm sure that someone, somewhere has a list of the movies that they show. Knowing Disney, those movies don't change very often.

So 7DMT is really the only one I need FP for between 4-7pm? Will other popular attractions be a long wait without FP on party night? Looking at the party schedule, it looks like you can only choose rides or parade. Is there a tour plan that you can see most of shows and get rides in?

Peter Pan is the other ride that has a very long line even as late as after the fireworks.

I think if your party tickets are linked to your MDE account then they become clones of your account. This means that if you book fastpasses for that day with your regular tickets then you won't be able to book fp+ using the party tickets, since no one can book more than three fp+ ahead of time, no matter how many tickets you have.

So I would think that if you want to do both, use your park tickets for fp+s and book fp+ using your party tickets, then you would have to create phantoms on your MDE account or a new MDE account for the party tickets. You would have to use new names if you want a new account. If Disney sees the same name then it will merge the accounts.

That's probably a good option. I can link them to phantoms on my MDE, but if those phantoms aren't on my resort reservation then they'll only be able to make FPs at 30 days out correct? That is a little annoying, but better than not having an option to make any advance FPs.

It is a link to online check it. It will become active at your 60 day mark. :) It works for me now because I have an October reservation, so I know it isn't just a tease. ;)
