***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

New to this thread. :) We will be at Disney 12/6-12/13 and are staying at BLT.

Does anyone know if there is a place where we can post ADR trades? I have a BOG dinner but need to switch it to another night now.

Hoping to read this long thread after my girls are in bed tonight!! Thanks!!

:welcome:

You can post it here if you would like! @TiggerManiac has a spreadsheet where everyone here fills in any cancellations and whatever reservations they are looking for :)

Just click the link in my signature. The spreadsheet has canceling/needed ADRs, dates we're attending MVMCP, and will have dates we're attending the SWGS Dessert Party once official dates are released. Anybody can go in and edit the spreadsheet with their info.

That settles it...I've read this a few times now and we are officially going to be doing this at least once for regular Wishes! So glad you mentioned this. Had it in my notes somewhere but had forgotten about it because it has been buried under other things.

By the way...how are you all organizing all your "tips and tricks" to keep track of all the great things learned here while you are actually at Disney? What snacks to eat where, how to get from point A to point B--all the little things to remember type stuff. Will you have a good old-fashioned list, or keep track electronically somehow (maybe in notes of MDE or something?)?
I think I'll just keep a small notebook with different pages for things :) my phone is like my right hand, but for lists and organizing I need pen and paper.

I went in and updated mine a bit. I think the Thursday party is the one we'll stick with, whether I can find a replacement H&V dinner or not. We haven't bought our tickets yet though, so for now I'll keep the ADR I have on Thursday just in case. ;)

this was my christmas card in 2014 after our trip. This was our last ride of the whole trip and we got stuck for like 5 minutes in the tunnel while they stopped the ride. when we came out of the tunnel this pic was taken. I had to use it.

That's my "tired at disney" face which is virtually the same as my resting b-face.

now you all know kiddo's name. If you hear me yelling it you will know it is me. Everyone on the island knows his name because I'm always calling it. we walk into stop and shop and everyone is all like "Hi, Grant!" :rotfl:
You know, I came back to look at this photo, and the best part to me is the Mickey ears :)... Oh, and I can NOT keep up with this thread!! :dance3:... Does anyone know what these guys are doing?

OMG! I just have to say I absolutely love this! Like @Mal6586 I want to like this a thousand times too!

What helpful hints or great ideas have you picked up thanks to these boards? Here are some of mine:

1. Have a back-up plan. And a backup to the backup!
2. You need to make ADRs 180 days out! (haha...I seriously did not know!)
3. Cheeseburger spring rolls in MK (and LOTS of other fantastic snack ideas!)
4. When planning stops being fun, take a break!
5. To make sure there is a balance in late nights/early mornings/rest time vs. commando touring.
6. Look at the big picture and consider the overall flow of your itinerary.
7. Talking Mickey!!
8. Consider viewing Wishes from Fantasyland.
9. Dining plans are not a one-size-fits all-sort of thing. It's okay if one works for you, and it's okay if one doesn't work for you.
10. There are as many ways to do Disney as there are families/groups that visit Disney.
11. The Beast is only at BOG at dinner.
12. Touring Plans Reservation Finder!!
13. I'm not weird for obsessively planning.
14. BE FLEXIBLE!!
15. Silhouettes on Main Street for a cool souvenir.
16. Disney Pandora charm bracelets!
17. You really, really, really cannot do e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g!
18. People do give up ADRs. Every. Single. Day. I had no clue and initially thought we were out of luck with a bunch of stuff we wanted. Persistence pays off!
19. SDFP!
20. The 1st week of December thread is the BEST on DIS! (Thanks @Lisa F!! You deserve a boatload of credit for starting this and for sharing your knowledge! :flower3: Plus, you're super funny! lol)

I'm old school. Paper list one per day per person. I had a job once working for a band on tour (really) and they needed a day sheet so they knew where they had to be at what time every day :)

This is a perfect list!! You've mentioned all I could think of when I first read it! I just thought of a few others that helped me...
1) I didn't even know about ppo breakfasts
2) I didn't even know to check the hours of the park days before planning
3) the grading scale for rides to fp
4) you can just order a coffee and cupcake for bog breakfast.... And couldn't you even just order ONE cupcake for 6 people?!
5) that the Snow White ride isn't even there anymore; it's something called 7DMT now
6)that I really need to go to Minnie's holiday dine and Fantasmic! :D
7) that I'm always learning something new everyday that makes me want to change my plans :)
8) that my plans are great how they are right now! :)
9) I heard that the bathroom by the rapunzel tower is the best one ? Can anyone confirm. :)
10) know party nights!! And know when to not book a bog dinner!! :badpc:
... I'll add more later! I know a lot of these aren't great tips or tricks, but they were good info that I would have been totally lost without!!

i love the colors! Mickey and Minnie look so cute on the front together!

I know! That's the main reason I wanted this particular bag. DH's dad (used to be parents when MIL was alive) have a tradition of getting each person a Hallmark ornament every year. For the past I don't know how many years, he gets me a Mickey/Minnie one. So this is sort of an homage to that ornament collection, which may just be making the trip down with us, along with a tabletop tree and lights!

The colors are close to the colors of my new business logo.
