1st trip as Mr. and Mrs. (lots of pics!) Updated 9/29: TR Link Posted!!

:crazy2: <---- This is me, green with envy that you have hammock trees! (I know he looks kinda ill, but I've decided it's my envy face) ;)

CONGRATULATIONS on finishing your semester! Wow, you'll be done school so soon!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

And congrats on your new house too. I can't wait to see pictures, it sounds awesome! I hope moving isn't too stressful and everything goes smoothly for you and Michael.

I really like the UG. It's great how long it is, there are some really good details in there. I really want a Passporter guide, but I haven't gotten around it it. How is the Birnbaum one?

Soon your ticker with say 3 months and __ days!!:banana::banana:

Thanks!! I'm super, super excited! :woohoo: Have you finished yours yet?

We moved (almost fully in) yesterday!! :dance3: It's so much bigger. I just love it. I haven't unloaded many boxes--I have a feeling it will take a really long time--but I'll take a picture of the outside to post hopefully tonight! I'm taking the night to relax from moving--my cousin has been in town, and she leaves tomorrow morning. So we're gonna hang out! :thumbsup2

I'm so excited to read the UG. It's been sitting on my shelf, unopened, for WAY too long. :sad2: After we finish getting the house in order, hopefully I'll have more time to read it. The Birnbaum book has tons of great pictures, and it has some really good tips, but since it's "official" it's pretty much what Disney wants us to know...ya know? ;) I LOVE tourguideMIKE though. His info is just incredible.

AAHH!! I know. Tomorrow we'll be in the 120s! I can't believe you're already back from your first trip!! I love the TR so far, by the way!

Sure, this is the link, maybe copy and paste will work for you :)

Yay for hammock, my DF's dream! lol, he has simple wants.

It worked! :yay: Thanks! :) I'll check it out now. Haha! Yep--a hammock just makes everything better!

:rotfl2: I love the green with envy face!! Hilarious. Sorry... But not too sorry because I'm SOOO excited! :upsidedow

:dance3: We're in the 120s today!!!! :dance3:

I'm so excited! Before long, it will be ADR time! And now that I'm officially finished with school until the beginning of June (YAY!!!! :yay::yay:) I can start reading the Unofficial Guide and start on my planning binder! Michael is going to be gone for 4 days at the end of the month, and I think it will be the perfect time to do some hard-core Disney planning, and scrapbooking (I want to get caught up soon...but I haven't even started college :scared:)

Oh--and we moved in to our new house!!! We have SOO much more room now. Now if I can only get the boxes all put away. But I have a self-induced deadline. I want everything looking great by next Thursday so we can have our youth kids over for an end-of-the-year party! :thumbsup2 So I have motivation.

My cousin has been staying with us since Sunday, and we had a great girls night last night. Let me just say, foundue is a super fun, super girly treat! I'll try to upload pictures. Yummy!!

Oh--and it's pretty much rained every day for the past 3 1/2 weeks here. :sad2: We've had a few partial days that have been pretty, but it's been so yucky for the most part. Well, yesterday was gorgeous! I was SOOO excited. And it was misting this morning, but there's a chance it will turn out pretty. I hope so. Saturday should be rainy. This, believe it or not, would be a great thing for my cousin who is getting married on Saturday. He bought his fiance's ring at a place that gives it to you free if it rains or snows an inch on your wedding day! Anyway, it should be pretty all next week and I'm almost beside myself. I'm SOOO ready for pretty weather!

Sorry...this has been a little random. But my mind is in a million places right now.

So glad you guys got all moved in!! :cool1: And glad the you have motivation to get it together. I really think there were boxes lying around 6 months after I bought my house. :scared1:
And I have totally started my binder...well, sort of. I have the binder and sheet protectors. Now I just need to print some pics out and buy tons of scrapbooking stuff! Can't wait!!

 It's getting closer! I can't wait to start making my ADRs! I have so many places I want to try.

I love fondue! I got a fondue set for Christmas complete with recipe book! :thumbsup2

Yay! Congrats on getting all moved in! And I am sooo sick of the gross weather too. Ours is supposed to be nice today, rainy all weekend, and then sunny all next week.:banana::banana: for next week! Hopefully yours will be nice too!

I am too! We still have a couple of things at our old apartment (since we have it until the 31st, we have plenty of time). Well, we went the other day to get some more stuff, and the neighbors have already taken over our spots too!! I'm so glad to not have to deal with them anymore. :headache: Ohh---!!!! You have to post pictures of your binder! I haven't started mine. We've been in moving mode. And my cousin was over all last week. Hopefully I'll be able to start this week. I can't wait to see yours!! :woohoo:

Ahh!! I know! I can't wait. Dining is one of my favorite parts of Disney! ;) Wow!! What is the name of your fondue recipe book? I'm always looking for fun new things to try.

Thanks! We're still unpacking, but hopefully we'll be finished soon. :thumbsup2 Have you had good weather lately? Ours has been pretty since Thursday!!! I'm SOOOO happy! It should be nice all this week too :yay:

For the life of me, I cannot remember it. :rotfl: I'll check when I get home tonight and let you know!

Sunday and today have been gorgeous, but Sunday was the first nice day we've had practically since I moved. I am sitting in my office right now, staring out the windows wishing I was out at the pool. That would be :cloud9:

I have a great and yummy cheese fondue recipe (actually it's the swiss cheese fondue from the melting pot) that Dbf and I recreated. I can give ya the recipe if you want it :goodvibes
And congratulations on the semester being over with!! :cheer2:

I forgot to look at my book. :sad2: I do have fondue recipes from a friend on the DIS that I can send you. She sent me a whole bunch!

Haha! Yes--please let me know! :thumbsup2

Oh my goodness, I know how you feel!! Our company read/heard somewhere that everyone needs to be within x amount of feet from a window. So that means we're all surrounded by windows! I love just looking out and seeing the gorgeous day...but it's torture at the same time! And when it was yucky outside, it was so, so gloomy to be by the windows all the time. I'm trying to think about when/how I can sneak in some sun! ;)

YUM!!! :woohoo: Yes--please give it to me. I've actually never tried cheese fondue. What all do you dip in it? Just breads and crackers? My moms, sister, and I broke out the fondue pot again last night, and had yummy chocolate fondue! I think my mom wants one now. ;) Thanks--I'm so, so relieved to be finished! Now after this summer is over, all of us will be FREE!!!!!! :dance3: (Those are for you, your Dbf, and me being finished)

Yayyy, you're moved in!:woohoo: How's the unpacking going?

Do you have an ADR list yet?! You're getting so close to making them!

Yep, I'm done with school for this year. No more until September 4th! Except I'm actually really looking forward to my classes next year. I'm transferring schools and I'm very excited!:yay:

Hey! Yes--it feels so good to be moved in! Tha packing is going great. We have pretty much all of the real stuff (like dishes, books, linens, food) put away, but we haven't started decorating. Our bathroom stuff is still in suitcases in the bathroom floor too! Hopefully we'll start decorating and everything this weekend. We have to have it finished by Tuesday, bc that's when the youth kids are coming over!

I do...I think I'll post the updated list after I write you back. I need everyone's final feed-back! :thumbsup2

YAYYYYY!!!! Congrats! :woohoo: Where are you transfering? That's really exciting!

Hi everyone!

I need some help. I think I've made my final selections for ADRs. PLEASE give me your feedback! I just recently heard some bad feedback for The Wave, but others love it. And I've heard good and bad about Mama Melrose... Please be brutally honest! And if you have a few other suggestions, let me know. Here goes:

O'Hana's
The Wave
Teppan Edo
Le Cellier
Boma
Mama Melrose

Oh--and for CS, I'm thinking:

Something at Downtown Disney?!--help!
Cosmic Ray's or Columbia Harbor House
Sunshine Seasons
Tangierene Cafe
Pizzafari or the AK picnic
ABC Commissionary, Starring Rolls, or Studio Catering Co.

What do you think?! :confused3

I haven't eaten at any of the TS restaurants so I'm no help at all. :rotfl: But I say go with wherever you want to go! You can try it and if you don't like it, you don't have to go back.

Your ADRs look good, of the TS places you've listed, I've eaten at The Wave, Mama Melrose, and Le Cellier!
Ok, here is my rundown - You can't go wrong with anything at Le Cellier, although if you like mashed potatoes (I love mashed potatoes) and your meal DOESN'T come with mashed potatoes, you should think about subbing your side for them. They are wonderful! The Chedder Cheese Soup is yummy!
Mama Melrose - I would NOT recommend the fettuccine alfredo. It was kinda dry. My Dad swears to never eat there again. I, however, thought that the other meals looked and tasted good, especially the chicken parm. With a little more alfredo sauce, the fettuccine would have been good too. (I think Dad was just in a bad mood that day, it is just unfortunately one of the things I remember).
The Wave - I was afraid (as were several of the waitstaff members) that Disney missed the mark with this one. From what I've seen of the menu on allears.net, however, it seems they have changed the menu up a bit. I don't know, I typically don't think that when I go on vacation I want to really think about eating healthy food, and everything on the menu when we went was very much geared toward that. We did ask for pancakes with regular pancake batter and they were happy to oblige. I have no complaints about the food that I ate when I was there, simply about the limited selection.

We are planning on eating at Boma and Teppan Edo while we are there in December, so I am counting on hearing your reviews, if you decide to go there for ADRs! :)

Sunshine Seasons is great for a CS, there are so many different selections to choose from, even the pickiest eaters can find something they want. If you've been reading Meg's (autumnpalm) TR, she has some really nice things to say about Tangierine Cafe, and that looks really yummy!

I don't really know much about the CS at DTD, but House of Blues has good food, and a fun atmosphere! It's a sit down restaurant though, or I know we sat down and ate there. :)

Looks good!! Good luck with getting everything you want!

Hello! :wave2:

First poster to this pre-trippie! :)

I just have to pipe in here! I love, love Boma. Are you doing Breakfast or Dinner? We really enjoyed breakfast when we were there last year. YUM! And I am planning to return for Dinner this year!

But...The Wave... :sad2: We did not like this one. The atmosphere is fine and the service was great...but we thought the food was really strange. Check the menu and if it looks good to you, go for it! It was just a little strange to us. Hands down the worst meal we had in Disney on our October trip. One member of our party even sent an entree back and got their money back.

Actually... hmm... :scratchin I just went and looked at the menu...

http://allears.net/menu/menu_waved.htm

It looks different now? :confused3 Like maybe they have removed some of the strange things. If you think you like the menu, go for it!! And let us know what you think! :)

And I am subbing in for this one! :)
