180 Day window, my stupidity (vent)

I've had the 180 day mark on my calendar for months, but I didn't know about the extra 10 days we could book if staying on-site. I took a new job two months ago that has eaten up my disboards time :sad1: Anyway, I called right at 180 days and got the Cinderella breakfast. I had to call back later with my confirmation # (they did ask for it), and I tried four different days before I could get Le Cellier later than 4:20 and earlier than 9:00. This was more than 180 days out. I feel sorry for the people who don't know and try to walk right in that night. That happened to us on one of our earlier pre-Dis visits. I had no trouble getting Hoop-De-Doo, Yak and Yeti, and Teppan Edo right when we wanted.

I did the early morning ADRs for the My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party and CRT. They may not book up immediately like they used to, but I wasn't willing to take that chance. My DGDs absolutely loved both of these events. It was worth waking up in the dark!!

I don't know why you are jumping down my throat  , I was just saying what I have observed over the last year. I had absolutely no problem getting the time of my choice for the CRT breakfast last December when I called at the 180 day mark and My family really enjoyed it, even though we DON'T have children.

I agree that there are alot of little girls and their families that love it and are willing to use 2 credits or pay for it. Yes, I did pay for it (about $115) and didn't use 2 credits, and yes, I do have the beautiful picture to commemorate our 5th Wedding Anniversary, in fact we were given engraved Champagne Flutes that I have on display at home. Will I do it again, maybe/maybe not, I can't answer that today, I have too many other restaurants I would like to try, so no, I won't book it for every trip.

Suzanne princess:

:confused3 Not sure where I jumped down your throat, or where you are seeing fewer people booking it, since you booked at 180 days also? I mean, I can jump down your throat if you want me too? I just dont think it's becoming less popular is all I said.

did the same thing... I woke at 6:30 on to make reservations for CRT to only find out after being on hold for 20 minutes that i had the wrong date and i needed to call back tomorrow

Did you use one of the calculators that are online to figure your 180 day mark? Wonder if somehow some are off by 1 day with leap year?? :confused3 Just seems wierd.

I did use an online calculator to figure my 180 day mark and it was accurate. The problem came after I'd booked the first 10 days of ADR's, I was 10 days off, and I think in my sleep-deprived state I only added 9 days to the day I was on. I think you can feel confident trusting the calculators - just don't trust yourself at 4am!!!

I didn't need a reservation number when i called and booked my ADR's @ 190 days out. MS just confirmed that I was staying at AKV and went from there. I don't believe you will need the number because if you call through MS they will see your reservation right there.
PS. and we got CRT when we wanted it. Good luck with getting your reservations im sure your family will enjoy it.
