Well, we are trying to decide on a Sr Yr Spring Break Cruise 03, and are worried that are 17yr old DD will be bored. Are there usually alot of older teenagers on board?? Fun things to do??

Help!!!

Denise

We have sailed DCL 5 times already with #6 coming up on 8/3/02. We have DD18, DS17 and DD14. Needless to say they love the cruise!!! They always meet other teens. Don't worry about that, especially if you planning a spring break cruise.

Common Grounds is the teen club on the ship. Make sure your teen goes to the teen 411 on the first night of the cruise. This is where she will meet other teens right off the bat. My kids usually meet other teens and then hang out together the rest of the cruise. They are still corresponding to friends that they made back in '98.

Our boys will not be cruising with us in '03 because of college but our last 4 DCL cruises were pure heaven for them. Make sure she goes into Common Grounds ASAP and starts meeting the other teens. The activities our boys enjoyed the most, "hanging out with the friends." Last March they were depressed because they knew that that was their last DCL cruise as a teen. Their ages on our last cruise were both 18. Our oldest couldn't go because of school, he is 21. In about 10 years I know they are hoping to go back with us with their future spouse and who knows, children? !LOL! Kathy

given that it's spring break there might be a lot of older teens, however be prepared for her to spend time with you...
my 15 year old son was in common grounds or in cg related activities the whole cruise....my 18 year old daughter spent the cruise with us as there weren't any older teens on our cruise....however she still loved the cruise and can't wait to go again....she's planning on going alone next year with her cousin who's the same age.....she can't wait to hit all the adult activities with someone her own age instead of her parents....
