16 month booking?

Did anyone else get an email from DFTW saying you can reserve your space 16 months out now? I wonder if it counts towards receptions at the Grand Floridian (convention centers and similar)..anyone have an idea?

Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings is excited to let you know that starting June 1, 2010 couples requesting a Wishes Collection* event taking place at Walt Disney World Resort will be able to hold space up to 16 months prior to their requested date. These new booking guidelines are a great way for you to start planning your event with Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings even sooner.

I wonder how long it is till you get a confirmed date? You know, being as it was 12 months pencilled in, then confirmed at 8 months. Wonder when it's confirmed now?

I just received the email, too. I guess I'll have to check with my consultant for clarification tomorrow .... it sounds like we can book on 6/26/10 for our VR next year.

I got the email too However I did get an email from my coordinator a couple of days ago letting me know we could bring the contract forward, so I guess it's related

I got one too! I'm emailing Diane since I scheduled my site visit through her. It would be awesome to actually have a set date in August of this year for a November 2011 wedding!

I just did a site visit last Friday. My wedding is penciled in for March 12, and my consultant Joe told me that as soon as I got him my room block info, we could go ahead with the contract/deposit. I was so excited!!!

Does anyone know if this applies to the convention center rooms? I am only a week away from booking but I would LOVE if I could also book the Whitehall Room at 12 months.

I didn't get the email...I wonder why some people did and some people did not?
