16 month booking?

The impression I got today when I talked to my consultant is that you can contract at 16 months if you are using a non-convention center venue (like ADH or a theme park). If you are using a convention center venue, then you are penciled in at 16 months and contracted at 12 months. I think it's basically the same as it is now, we are just dealing with 16/12 months rather than 12/8 months. Does that make sense? At least that's the impression I came away with :thumbsup2

You are absolutely right. My coordinator explained it to me this way, I guess I just didnt word it correctly previously or get my thoughts into words as successfully as I had hoped..:confused3 Oooops!

I'm glad Disney changed this for future brides, although I can book at 12 months, I would not be happy if I had to wait until 8 months. My guests are already asking me what is going on, and 8 months is not that much time to plan everything for a wedding, around here people book 18-24 months ahead of time!

Same situation here! When we got engaged in October 2008 my mom said, "Ok, call Disney and we'll give them a deposit for the date you want." Um, it doesn't work that way! :lmao:

Those 4 months in between are still nerve wracking but at least you can start planning earlier!
