Or, should I wait to see if it goes down even further? We're booking for Jan 2012 (for my dd's 10th bday). I don't want to pass up this price, but this is within our budget. I'd love to wait it out for a better price if it's a possibility, but if it's just going to go up then I want to book now. What should I do???

150 return or one way?
If it's return book it as fast as humanly possible. If it's one one way you might do a little better but not too much (on direct flights anyway). If you can live with that price ..book it.

I have been watching Buffalo for months for August because that is our home airport and flights have been really high. Much more than we used to pay.

I ended up booking out of Detroit and we will be doing the 5 hour drive and paid 800 for the 4 of us. I couldn't find anything close to that in Buffalo.

Good Luck! :)

If it's midweek you can often get $59 one way on JetBlue, might be more like $75 with taxes/fees, so yes, $150 is a good price.

******edited because I got excited thinking it was a Buffalo to Orlando fare. I've seen one way fares for under $50 from Buffalo on Jet Blue.

buffalo is our home airport too. the flights have been ridiculous lately. if you buy your tickets thru jetblue and the price goes down they will give you a credit for a future flight. i bought my tickets for our upcoming disney trip. i have been watching for the tickets to go on sale. i now have a $200 credit for next trip :dance3: $150 from buffalo to nyc seems kind of expensive to me. but if you book through an airline that can give you a credit i would do it.

I am going to edit my above post because I read it wrong. I thought they meant BUF to MCO, not NYC! Oooops!

I agree, you can find $59 or lower one way fares, so maybe keep watching and wait.

One way.... EXTREMELY overpriced. I have never paid more than $69.00 one way from or to NYC.

It's $150 return including all taxes and fees. I checked Jet Blue, but they're only selling flights up to Jan 3rd right now and I'm looking at the end of January.

Do you mean round-trip when you say return? I think maybe I didn't understand that phrasing. If it includes all and gets you from Buffalo to NYC, then from NYC back to Buffalo, I would say it is good. I would check the site for a lower rate from time to time to see if you can get a credit though. (aka Jet Blue)

Sorry I also thought you meant to orlando and back! I'm sorry. TBH though 150 doesn't seem like a bad price for a return trip. Go to Bing farecaster. You can input your dates and airports and it will tell you the data for flights and whether to buy now and wait to see if they come down.

Sorry, yes roundtrip. It was late when I typed that and I probably looked at the return key on my phone lol.

I've never heard of Bing farecaster. Thanks, I'll check it now.

Round trip! That makes more sense for the pricing you found.

I think that's decent from Buffalo to NYC for the round trip. Check Southwest frequently because I always see cheep fairs popping up with them BUF to NYC.

I am a fan of Bing farecaster and have gotten good advise from them by waiting to buy my ticket and sure enough the prices were lower.
