"Official" 2025 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

This is our first Christmas party and I'm curious about the wait times for rides like Tron and SDMT. We mostly want to watch the parade and fireworks, but this will be our only MK day, so I'm trying to set realistic expectations for how many rides we can expect to do.
Lines are usually longish at the start as non party guests can enter the queues until the actual start of the party.

Last year, we waited about 30 minutes for 7D and just before the fireworks, we rode Tron with a 5-10 minute wait.

I am considering doing to the Firework dessert party, garden view.

  • How much of the party time does it take up?
  • Are people heavily crammed in the area or is it actually enjoyable?
  • Do you have to stay in the area for the party the entire time or can you come and go as you wish and show up for the fireworks and leave afterwards?

I am trying to find some helpful YT videos, but they all seem focused on the desserts and not the area/sitting/seating or process.

Our plan is to also use one of our park days at MK before the MVMCP as we read that attendance/crowds are typically lower on event days. We'll probably go in to MK for rope drop, enjoy, leave for a leisurely lunch at a resort, then come back in the early afternoon. No rushing, just a relaxing time.
