DJ!! Let's make a pinkie promise and get out of the 170's as fast as we can!!! I AM going to be in the 170's this week, I am, I am...I do believe in Whoosh Fairies, I do I do!!! :)

That would be so great! I seemed to have slowed down a little lately, but I hope for things to pick up soon. I just need to stay focused! It will feel so good to be in the 160s!

DJ

Hey guys!!!

I think this eating less and moving more mantra is working...I sometimes dream I'm eating french fries or a juicy cheeseburger and I wake up all guilty thinking I've gained just from dreaming about them. But do you know what I dreamed about last night??? I dreamed I went for my 4 mile walk and it turned into a 13 mile walk and I forgot to post about it!!! So when I woke up the first thing I wanted to do was post that I did 13 miles!! Of course, I didn't it was just a dream...but it did inspire me to push my 4 miles this morning...don't think I'll do 13 but atleast my dream was with me instead of against me! :)

Chimera!!!! WAHOO!!!! 171!!! You are a breath away from the 160's!!! :)  Your body needed that month off in March to maintain and get ready for losing! The great thing is you didn't gain and you have punched up the plan to lose! I'm sooo excited for you!!! I bet you're feeling GREAT!!

Lesli! Ooohh...have so much fun in London! Even though I don't drink I think some of my favorite spots to see were official pubs...the folks are so friendly and will just start talking with you and play a game of darts...it was just so neat to meet folks you know you'll probably never see in your lifetime again but that for that moment you had a connection. I think that's why I like Rose & Crown so much it really is similar to the ones in London. Also, can't miss the art museums..AWESOME! And Tower of London!! :) Have a great trip! I think it was meant to be that you guys go by yourselves...it's alot easier to travel with two than four..I went with 4 college roommates and we all wanted to do something different so there was a lot of splitting up. Hope the sun is shining and the roses are blooming!

DJ!!! You're on baby!!! Let's knock these 170's to the MOON!! Funny, how cocky I can be about it when I haven't even seen 179.5 yet!! :) But it's beautiful outside and I'm putting on my sunscreen..can't handle any more freckles before summer!!...and I'm walking until I can't walk anymore...then I'm turning back and struggling home! :) I'm going to slimfast today through weigh in day to shock myself from all those Chili's chips/salsa I had last night. Of course, I'll eat my good meal of the day but I'm going to try for good salads with lots of fresh veggies in them...gotta make a grocery run to make this happen!! :)

Kathy...boy, tired does get me...the best thing for me is to just not have those kinds of foods available. Play your best songs...favorite hits...and just have a dancing party cleaning out that pantry...go to the store and put yourself in a 150's mindset..."If I were 150's, what would I be doing and buying?" Then enjoy being 150's in your mind and then your body will catch up!! :)

GANG!! We're doing it!! We're melting away!!! Whether you're losing, maintaining, or gaining (no..no..no..no..)..we're going to help you through!!!! Make our bodies work like machines so we can be more energetic and handle the bumps that come along in this road.

Tara

Well...today has been a red-letter day meaning BOY DID I EVER CHEAT! I did GREAT yesterday...walked a little over 7 miles in 2 hours....had a salad for lunch and a baked potato for dinner...then we had a "staging" lady come by our house to arrange all these towels and doo-dads I had to buy to make our home sell....and we spent 3 hours yesterday moving all the furniture around and this morning my dh and I spent 4 hours doing the upstairs...whew!! I managed a piece of wheat toast this morning but then it was straight off to a Minor League baseball game for my nephew's birthday. I was starved...and have you ever tried to find something healthy to eat at a baseball stadium? I'm 96 days into my no cheat on french fries and white bread so that limited me...so I had barbecue nachos! ICK! Then because those were so yucky I had to eat a big and I do mean big piece of chocolate birthday cake...I only drank water...no cokes not even diet so that was a plus...came home and had a small bag of Doritos!! UGH! Nothing but JUNK!

Good news is we had 8 couples come and look at the house...two want to make offers (yeah, I'll believe it when I see it) but they both have houses to sell. But that was great to get 8 showings!! :) I'm going to slimfast tonight and try to get regular again...I hope 4 hours of cleaning house and moving furniture will do for my exercise today..I'm just too pooped to walk anywhere after this day.

How was y'alls weekend???? I'll let y'all know the minute I hear about the house...I'm sooo glad I don't weigh until Thursday...I'd probably croak if I weighed tomorrow after the junk I had today!!!

Tara

Tara,
We all have bad days, but your weekend, over all, wasn't too bad. Sounds like you did great on Saturday, and if you could make it through the rest of the day alright, I bet you won't see much of an impact.

Then on Monday, start all over!

Today wasn't the best for me, but I have the brakes on now, and hope to not eat any more today.

This is going to be a BAD week. DH is out of town on a business trip. He only does this once a year, so I am not use to it. The girls and I are going to have some 'girl time' together and I plan to take them out to eat a bit this week so I don't have to cook.

I am HOPING to not do too badly, but I do want to enjoy this time together, just us girls. :flower:

So drink a big glass of water tonight. Relax, and start the day off right tomorrow! You can do it!

Oh...and on homeschooling...I really think folks think it's harder than it is...I think getting 3 children up for school that starts at different times is more orchestrating and organizing than I do to teach them :) I do like that we can eat breakfast in the mornings as a family and not have to rush....and I like the flexibility it offers...but the main reason we began homeschooling was my son's asthma...it was horrible at age 5 and when he began school...any cold he caught sent him into a downward spiral....he missed soo much school and was pitiful...each attack damages the lungs..so we decided to keep him home. That first year his attacks went from 12 attacks to 2! :) Then we fell in love with homeschooling and like that they can still be kids...we may put them in school for the later grades but for right now they're thriving and heck I'm learning a whole lot, too! I always thought homeschoolers were that fringe part of society that raised emu's and lived on farms..(those are GREAT, but not me)..but really for us it's a way for the kids to have time for sports, music lessons, dance lessons, community service projects, and still be a kid...my kids get atleast 3-4 hours of play time a day...my nieces are running non-stop from school to activity to homework and I think it's too much for kids. Our public schools here are taking away art/music and recess even at the kindergarten level, so for us it has worked well and we like that we can travel whenever we want to get some great savings and fewer lines at Disney! :)
I never thought I'd be a homeschooler but now can't imagine not doing it...time changes and that may, too but it's really a lot easier than I thought.

Sorry you asked aren't you? I could write volumes on the what's of homeschooling! :)

Tara

Hi to all this is my first post here, I just re-joined weight watchers and have 47 pounds to get to 150 ! my first time at ww i lost 60, stopped going and gained some back! this time i really want to get lifetime membership. I hope i can join in the 150 club.

Tara - Don't worry about the bad day.... we've all been there  Sounds like you're making up for it just fine. Do make sure to increase your water.

Great news about the 8 couples. Hopefully ONE of them will make an offer. This is what you've been waiting for :sunny:

Happy Monday to All!! :flower:

Hope you had as nice weather for the weekend as I did :sunny: Was in sunny Oxford Ohio on Saturday and it was 75 degrees!! WOO HOO!!

This weekend was rough - both of my DD 17 and 20 had emotional meltdowns within 5 minutes of each other and yet they were 250 miles apart. Enough to drive the sanest person  That started the weekend. Then off to a church to listen to DD17 high school choir sing chamber music for over 2 hours. One song was 30 minutes long. Have to give the kids credit but my big old butt was pretty sore by the end of it. :rotfl:

Trip to Ohio was 5 hours each way and we did it in one day. Got to spend time with DD20 and actually take her out for dinner. Her skating team was there in Ohio competing. Been a tough year for her and glad we could go watch her.

Exercise this weekend HAH :rotfl2: What is that? That and my eating habits went out the window............Don't even want to know what the scale says. Back on track today and weigh in is on Thursday..........scary :scared1: I know I know.........keep moving and drinking. Doctor appts are getting in the way of fitness visits so I will have to try to do more at home.

TARA - Hoping by the time you read this there will be an offer on the house!! I hear you about trying to find healthy at a baseball game. Ever tried to find healthy eating in an ice rink!! :rotfl:

WE3DISNEYGO - Welcome!! Glad you could join us.......I am also on WW - my second week and have about 35-40 pounds to lose. Working with the CORE plan. What are you using? Flex or Core?

To the rest of the team - GO!! FIGHT!! MOVE!! LOSE!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Have a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

Linda

Hi ! Thanks for the welcome! I am on the flex plan. How is the core plan working out for you? I also have a daughter that ice skates, and I also live in the midwest! I started taking lessons last fall. have a great Monday-my exercise for today is skating and walking.

Good morning everyone! Did I say that I wanted to lose 72.5 lbs?.........well no more!..........I lost 1 more lb.

I should be able to get that 10 lb clippie this week. I have now officially lost more than 10% of the total weight that I wanted to lose! That goal of being thinner by DD17's graduation in May is going to happen! :cheer2:

Can you tell I am excited? :cloud9:

We3disneygo - WELCOME! You're going to love it here. The people are great and very supportive. Check out some of the WISH journals or start one of your own. They really do help.

Westjones - Even though you will be eating out a few times this week, I know you can make some healthy (healthier) choices. We have faith in you! ;)

Tara - Dreaming about so much exercise could be dangerous to your health. :rotfl2: I am glad to know that you had a good open house. Did you get around the egg smell? I am crossing my fingers for you that you get at least 3 offers, that way one will definitely work.

Linda - Hang in there! Sitting through a 30 minute song would be tough on anyone's body, but I am sure it was beautiful. At least the :sunny: is shining today.

Keep up the good work everyone and make sure you get in your water! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Hey! I came up with a good idea to get that egg smell out...(I actually burned 6 eggs that exploded while boiling them one day...neat science experiment, I suppose)....after using ammonia, vinegar, Clorox Clean-up, fantastic, and Murphy's Oil soap...I figured it was probably just in the ventilation system...so I put some Bounce Dryer sheets on the flow side of my air filters in our air conditioning...yes it was so hot yesterday we had to put our ac on....well, it worked!!! My house smelled like spring rain! :) The trick is putting the dryer sheets on the side where the air is blowing.

I did weigh..I just couldn't help myself!! I felt so bloated after all that sugar and processed foodies...I was up 2 pounds in one day! UGH! So I'm really going to flush that water away and try for atleast a .5 pound loss this week...I was really hoping for a 179.5 weigh in...it could still happen, I suppose...just have to be GOOD!!! :)

Chrismiss! Awww...poor girls! Those are tough ages! But what a WONDERFUL mom you are to drive 10 hours to spend some time with college dd! :) I lived 6 hours from home during college and each time my parents visited I soared!!! Nothing like having mom there! :)

WELCOME we3disneygo!!! :) YAHOO!!! WOW!! You skate, too??? I've been too petrified to put skates on..I used to love it and now that I'm closer to a healthy weight I really should try some on..you've inspired me!!! :) I've never done WW...but sooo many on here have had huge successes with it!! You've done it before and you know you can..that's half the battle! :) And the good news is you don't have to get 150 to be an achiever in this bunch...we're all aiming for 159.5...so you're 9.5 pounds closer than you thought!! :) Any number in the 150's is where we're aiming! :)

LESLI!!! :jumping1:  WOW!!! Over 7 pounds lost since committing yourself to losing!!! YOU ARE MELTING!! :) YEAH!!! Just hearing the excitement in your post is making me feel really strong today!!! Y'all are great!!! It's hard to not lose with all you losers around! :)

I'm anxious for 9am..that's when realtors start calling for showings..I hope we get a second showing today! :) Feeling good! Thanks guys!
Tara

Happy Monday everyone, my offical weigh-in was Friday and I lost 2 lbs.

This weekend was beautiful here in Michigan, so DH and my Dad spent the weekend working on building a play structure for the kids. So I spent Friday evening cleaning house and the rest of the weekend watching kids and visiting with my mom.

Good Luck everyone, and I hope we have another great week of losses.

Regina

Morning LOSERS!! :flower:

Did not get alot of exercise in. Had a doctor appointment - GYN - Life is good just getting older and things are starting to shut down :rotfl2: This is a multi year process so the "agony" could go on for a few more years:(:(

These next two weeks will be a whirlwind and I don't do well when being flexible with exercise.........suggestions?

Eating it going ok........struggling alittle to get the water in which usually is not a problem for me.

Hubby got a countdown clock - 2, 654 days until his retirement!!! :rotfl2: Man is not a little anxious is he :rotfl: :rotfl: If all goes well we will be able to move to Florida, build a house and I can work at WDW part time. It is a wonderful fantasy - sigh................. :cloud9:

Tara - Are you trying to take my title "Slave to the Scale"? I am the guilitiest of guilty for that. Keep pushing the water!! :drinking1

Lesli54-WAY TO GO!!  You are an inspiration........I have also lost 7 since recommiting but it is the same 7 over and over and over again....... :rotfl2:

We3DisneyGo - Core is the other WW plan where you don't count points. They give you lists of foods that are acceptable and you eat until you are satisfied. If you want to eat something that is not on the list they give you 35 points each week. As of right now I really like the plan. My DD skated for over 10 years then quit because of high school. I can stand up and 2 foot glide and stop.........never got the courage for crossovers:):)

TEAM - HAPPY TUESDAY!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Have a magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

Linda

Can it be true? Is it real? Can it really be true? Look at me!! :earseek: Look at me!! :earseek: I have a new clippie!

I believe now. I really, really believe..........there is a WOOSH Fairy after all!

I am officially 220 lbs.! Just .5 more and I am in the teens! :cool1: Only 10 more to go and I reach my first goal! I can hardly believe it. How is it possible to lose over a pound in one day? But I checked the scale more than once. Here's hoping that the rest of this week will keep Wooshing before it slows down again. :flower:

Tara - Be patient, you will hit the 170's soon. You know, I never thought of using a dryer sheet to freshen the house. What a neat idea.

Regina - Congrats on the 2 lbs.! Cleaning house can be a great workout.

Linda - Is it raining up your way? It is here, but looks like it will clear. Wouldn't it be nice to work at WDW during retirement? :cloud9: Hopefully, you can contain your DH's retirement excitement just a little. This time, you will get past the repeating 7 lbs., I just know you will.

Everyone have a great day! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Regina!!! What???? You waited 2 days to post a 2 pound loss?? And where were all the bouncies????  I just have to squeal about 2 pound losses!!! :jumping1: I would go bananas if I saw a 2 pound weekly loss! :) WAHOO!!! You are moving down that path to fit and fancy free! :) Knowing that someone on our team has managed a weekly 2 pound loss makes me a believer in losing!! And there are just some days that I feel like a deflated helium balloon trying my best to get off the ground but gravity calls me back...yet when I see a losing post I get my injection of helium and I'm off to the GOAL!!! So thanks sweetie for posting such a GREAT loss!!! :)

Linda....oh noooooo....GYN ???? ick! It's been 2 years..I've got to get in there....I can't stand it! I can't stand dentists! I'll be toothless but fit and fancy free! :) Hope this "transition" doesn't take long and please report that weight loss gets easier after the transition! :) One can always hope! :) Y'all are inpsiring me to try and ice skate...it's been ages but now with 60 pounds off I think I could manage it and I'm sure it'd strengthen some muscles that aren't currently being used. Keep up the good work Linda...you'll be saying goodbye to some new pounds in stead of the old recycled ones you say you've been losing...I'm in fresh new pound country and it's slower than I'd like!!! I'm ready for these pounds to take flight! :)

Going to focus on water and about to cook a big breakfast...eggs/bacon/wheat toast....I'm making that my meal of the day and slimfasting the rest...with fruit snacks between meals. No word on the house yet..praying to hear something....

Tara

Lesli!! You snuck in there with that GREAT NEWS!!! :)
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Let's get that TEEN scale showing!!! 219, 219, 219 but only for a short while...then 218 and so on!!! You're going to ZOOM through the teens I just know it!!! Doesn't it feel great when that scale works for you instead of against???? I bet your dh is so proud and you're on :cloud9: ....Jump up and down and give yourself a big pat on the back!!! You're DOING IT!!! :)

Wooohoooo..that clippie looks DIVINE!!! :cool1:

Tara

Well today was a disappointing day... I've been expelled from the 150's :guilty: I gained .4 at WW which puts me at 160 :sad2: I know it's just water, because I was good this week, so I'm sure it'll be gone by next week plus more. Shooting for 2 pounds and my 50 pound clippie :goodvibes

Hey y'all!

I had a pretty bad beginning of the week, but then they made us run for 12 minutes in Gym, and I soon realized that it's the dreaded time of "PRESIDENTIAL ACHEIVEMENT TESTS" ugh....so it was ab workout for me tonight. I fell off for a couple days, but I'm getting back on. Here I go!

Mornin!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Nothing really new and exciting to report. Only got 60 minutes of exercise in yesterday and didn't make it out of bed this morning:(:(. Meeting with the personal trainer tonight to get some more variation in my routine. Hoping that she will add weights and something for my abs........I really don't like Pilates.......

Weigh in is tomorrow night. I know that it will not be a huge loss but hope it will be some loss - oh please oh please oh please :wizard: Remember I AM THE WORLD'S SLOWEST LOSER!! ;)

Twinkles - GREAT ATTITUDE!! :Pinkbounc So you got distracted for a couple of days - you acknowledged it and are right back on track :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc YEA FOR YOU!!

Tera - You weren't expelled!! You just missed us so much that you came back to visit - well you don't have to because we are coming to visit you!! :flower: :flower: Just hold that door open for us!! We will catch up to you   Drink, drink and then drink somemore.....

Tara - Any news on the house selling front?

Lesli - WOO HOO!! :jumping1: You are moving in the right direction!!

Regina - Just keep cruising......:):)

Kathy - How is the last week going? Hanging in there?

Alright Losers - time to get moving!!
Have a magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

Off to 6th grade today.........Linda

Good morning to all! I got in 2 hours of walking in the pool, 1 hr. of ice skating yesterday! weigh in is on Friday for me. I have cut out snacking at night so I hope to see a loss this week. :flower: Have a great day--drink that water.
