I lost 1.6 pounds this week to put me at a 159.6

Now I would have liked to been close to 159, but I'm not going to complain. I will never never never see the 160's ever again

My total loss is 48.4 pounds, so I am expecting to get my 50 clippie next week.

Thanks Everyone for your wonderful support. Sometimes I wondered if I would ever get there and I finally did :goodvibes I could not have done this without the great support I get from the WISH board and all of you guys.

As for Tara's questions:

1.What two things have contributed the most to you in getting to this point?
* Sticking with my points and not getting discourged if I cheat (also drinking lots of water and working out 5 days a week).

2. What size are you wearing now???
* I'm wearing about a 12 now, but I did buy my first pair of 10's :) I'm still carrying the rest of the weight I want to lose in my butt and thighs.

3. How big is your smile????
* Much bigger now :teeth:

4. What are you going to do today to celebrate??? Buy a new swimsuit? New workout shoes?
* I haven't done anything yet, but bowling was good, so made the day even better. I think I might cheat alittle and eat a Tostindo pizza for dinner  I think when I get to my 50 pound clippie, I'll go get my hair cut :earsgirl:

Megan - I'm feeling good now... I think back and just 7 months ago, I was weighing 208. Never again!!!!

And for everyone that is just starting out or have a long way to go, it CAN be done. Just keep working out when you can, DRINK LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER, stick with whatever program your doing and don't get discouraged. I find myself much more calm if I go out and splurge alittle one or two days a week... I just get right back on the program and drink my water.

Thanks again everyone!!! :teeth:

The rest of the week is looking up now! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Good Morning!! :sunny:

Yesterday was absolutely perfect weather wise. Tuesday nights normally walk with a couple of girlfriends on an indoor walking track. Normally crowded. Last night decided to walk outside around this man made lake.......WOW it was heaven :cloud9: No bugs, no humidity..........ahhhhhhhhh

Exercise went well again..........got 60 minutes in yesterday.....not as much as usually. Was distracted with DH's colonoscopy. All went well - thank goodness!!

Tomorrow evening is WW weigh in. Have no clue what to expect.

Off to cover teacher meetings today so I will have alot of variety.... ;)

So Teresa - How does it feel to wake up a skinnier version of you? :cool1: :cool1: You are an inspiration to us all..... :worship: Your success kept me on track yesterday and I want to say THANKS!!

To the rest of the team - WE KNOW IT CAN BE DONE!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Keep Moving and Keep Losing!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!!

It looks like a beautiful spring morning, even though the clouds are looming a bit.

Well, adding the grapefruit juice back into my morning routine seems to be the key to keeping my life regular. ;) Thank goodness. It's funny how such small changes in our diets can make a big impact on our bodies and moods.

Keep up the good work everyone and make sure you get the water in. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Have been eating garbage for the last couple of days.:guilty::guilty::guilty: I don't think I have been eating an excessive amount of calories, just not the right food. I go home with good intentins, then start working again and it's easier to grab snacks rather than take the time to cook. So far the scale has been good to me.

Today is a new day. I will try to actually exercise today and eat healthier. Does Chix with cashews and fried rice count as healthier? :rotfl::rotfl:I sould think of even less healthy foods.

Good luck to everyone in their weight loss endeavors. I hope everyone is staying OP better than I am.

I think it is easier to stay on goal while out of town. Don't have the ablility to piece on snacks and exercise everyday to work off some of the stress of the work day. Gets me out of the hotel room for an hour also. If that follows, I should have a decent effort the next two week.

 Hey Everybody......... :wave2:

Teresa................WOW! That is FANTASTIC!! The 150's!!!! :cheer2:  :cheer2:
Parrrrrrrr-ty..........let's all go Parrrrrr-ty.......woooooo!!! :cool1:

I'm so happy for you. Ahhhhhh.......just dreaming what it will be like............I won't be frustrated shopping anymore, I won't feel like a whale when I go to the beach, I won't have to worry if seatbelts fit me when I go on rides......ahhhhhhhh!!!! Life will surely be different.

Nycpa..........I haven't done the best in the last few days either. Boy, life got busy and I tried to take the easy way out.........that doesn't work. So I got on the treadmill this morning for 62 minutes!!! Every 10 minutes I sped up the machine for one minute and really got my heart rate up. It felt so good afterward when I was in a soaking sweat and hit the shower. What a great feeling of accomplishment! Let's just take it one day at a time, hard to do, I know.

Tara..........keeping my fingers crossed for your house and for the 60 pound clippie......... :wizard: :wizard: sounds like you did well at your grandma's house. Yay!!

Lesli............oooooooo.........grapefruit juice. I haven't had that in AGES. I could really drink some right now. Maybe I'll get some when I'm at Wally-mart. :)

Linda............good luck with your WW meeting tomorrow. I'm sure you'll have a good week. ANd I'm glad everything is ok with your DH. I've heard that test is a bear! Not fun. Glad it's over. It's beautiful here also. Kids are complaining when they come inside from playing that they are so hot! Ha! I told them, wait till it's 95 degrees!!! :earseek: They are going to melt. :teeth:

Trying to get down some more water. So what do you think the minimum amount of water should be that I get?? I'm around 280 and my ultimate goal is anything in the 120's but ofcourse, the 150's for right now. ;) I try to exercise 6 times a week and I really sweat. If I try for 3/4 of a gallon a day, would that be enough to start?? Then I would work up from there to a gallon. Does this sound right?

Thanks for all the encouragement you guys give. YOu are truly a GREAT GROUP!! :grouphug:

Pamela - You are supposed to have 64 - 80oz of water a day. Of course, that is probably for an average size person, of which we are all striving. ;) 64oz is half a gallon, so if you are doing 3/4, I would say stay there unless you realize that it is not quite enough to help you lose and keep you hydrated. I don't think it is good to do too much water, of which I believe a person can do.

For me, I have always drank a lot of water, so making sure I met 64oz really wasn't enough. I am now making sure that I get at least 84oz and it does seem to help alot. I could add another 12oz, but don't think I would do more. But that is me.

Keep up the good work! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

OK, I finally made it back. I have been so far off program the last couple of weeks that I couldn’t bring myself to report in. I have been keeping up with everyone’s accomplishments though. Everyone is doing so great. :cheer2:

Two weeks ago I went to Indiana for 3 days and gained 6.5 pounds! I was expecting a gain BUT 6.5 pounds :confused3 , which happened to take me right back to where I started when I joined the 150’s club  . I was not good last week either but I did manage to lose 2 pounds.

As of yesterday I am back on the CORE plan, drinking my water and exercising and I already feel so much better.

I want to thank everyone for being here and sharing their experiences. :flower3: Even though I have not been posting I have been reading. If it weren’t for everyone else’s willingness to share their ups and downs and my wonderful WISH buddy I think I would continue to follow an unhealthy path.

Keep up the great work everyone!! :flower:

Christie

Hello everyone! Today is absolutely beautiful here :sunny: Made sidewalk pictures with chalk with my best friend, which took me back to the good 'ol days, and made me feel absoultely wonderful! Which in turn made me eat grapes instead of chocolate :flower: I'm so glad spring is here! :flower3:

Tera!! Again BRAVO!!! Your posts here mean so much to us all striving to see that 159 number on the scale! :) Lots and lots of HOORAHS for you! And I love your CAN DO attitude...7 months of losing is alot! You're a new person!

Lesli! Hmmm....that grapefruit may be making it into my pantry! :) I don't know what it is about losing....maybe it's the low carb thing...but I am not as regular as I'd like to be...that cup of coffee helped me last week...and when it gets really bad I'll do a couple of days of slimfast...but I really like natural remedies..couldn't take any of the meds that are supposed to help...I'm sure part of it is my low water intake...I'm trying hard to be better at that...but thanks for the tip on Grapefruit juice! :)

Chrismiss! I'm sooo happy to hear you dh's colonoscopy was clear....it's so hard to get our men to the docs and the last thing they need to hear is something is wrong or they'll never go again! :) I've got to get my dh in...it's been 5 years since he's had a check-up. :sad2: I can't wait to hear about your weigh in!!! I bet it's a good one!! :)

Kathy! Boy isn't it hard to eat well at home! I'm such a stress eater....the things that help me the most are the way my clothes feel and seeing the scale hit new numbers. When it just sits there I get really cranky...I can't get .5 pounds off and it's been almost 5 days! But let's not get down on ourselves!! Any bad days are behind us and let's focus on what we can do to make today better. You're sooo close to having a little bit of rest with tax deadlines nearing..I know it won't be easy street but maybe that will provide a little breather so you can have time to clean your pantry out of any no-no's...I actually threw out a bag of cheetos last week! Can you believe it???

Pam...I agree just sticking to 60-80 oz a day is good...I actually let my "p" do the talking...if it's too dark or yellow then I make sure I go drink some water...sorry to share that...but it is a reminder for me! :)

Christie...first you KNOW those 6.5 pounds are not REAL!!! A big fat bowl of chili can make you gain 3 pounds the next day just from water retention with all that sodium and chili powder! So let yourself have that off-time and pick up today with a renewed sense of I CAN DO THIS!!! WE are all trying to get down to the 150's together and together we can! This was your time to slide a bit....next week it'll be someone else's turn....but as long as we keep checking in and help each other along...those weeks won't last! :) And isn't it amazing how much better we do feel when we get back on plan and take in our water? :cheer2: WAY TO GO ON A SPLENDID RECOVERY!!! :)

Well, tomorrow is my weigh in day...I was sure I'd grab that 60 pound clippie before tomorrow...but that old TOM had to show up and this time I'll be lucky to get .5 pounds off in a week with TOM....tomorrow's my last day so I hope for a WHOOSH! :) I'd love to be out of the 180's tomorrow but I'll take 181 and that clippie! :)

ONWARDS & DOWNWARDS TEAM!!! :)
Tara

Tara - Here is some :wizard: :wizard: to help you reach that 60 pound clippie.

Tera -Congratulations on reaching the 150's.

I have been taking advantage of the nice weather here in Michigan, I have been walking outside for 30mins on my luch hour. Then I have been coming home and walking with the kids for another 30 mins. Today I also got on the weight machine for 15 mins after I put the kids to bed.

Regina

Today was the first :sunny: day in a long time. Rain is forcast for tonight and tomorrow. Took advantage of the nice day and walked 2 miles. :cool1:

Still need to concentrate on eating better.
breakfast - oatmeal w/ real maple syrup
lunch - chinese w/fried rice (ordered cashew chicken, got moo goo gai pan I think??) diet pepsi (never eat all the rice, not that fonf of it)
snack - 6 butterscotch candies
supper - ham sandwinch on 7 grain bread w/spicy mustard, rest of chips and con queso dip, diet pepsi.

Chips and dip are gone so no more temptation. Cannot get motivated to cook in the evening. Have gotten too used to not doing so. It also interfers with trying to get work done on the independent accounts I do.

I seem to come up with mayny excuses for eating bad. The real truth is more likely, I use stress as an excuse to eat poorly. I think my daily calorie intake is within the range my trainer wants but I need to really work on choosing healthier foods. Seems I have said that before. :confused3 :confused3

Am meeting with the trainer tomorrow to get set up on a resistance program I can supplement the cardio with while at the hotel. I need to build up some muscle to get rid of some of this body fat. My clothes are fitting a little looser, everywhere but aroung the waist. I have always preferred guys pants to womens because of the noticible lack of a waist.

I need to get back to work before I decide it is time for bed.

Tomorrow is another day and a chance to make improvements.

Onward and downward

Morning all!! :sunny:

Well our brief moment of spring weather is gone:(:( Back to the 50's today with rain.........Kathy it is coming your way - sorry!!

Exercising has been doing ok.......Only did 60 minutes yesterday but they were a hard 60 mintues so I guess that is ok.

Eating - well we will find out tonight won't we :rotfl: Have not stepped on the scale this morning - probably will just to get an idea of where I am at. I am very nervous - not because I cheated but because I need this to work. I am driving myself crazy wondering how I am doing

Kathy - Go Back to Basics.........This is such a crazy time of the year for you. Take it one step at a time and you will succeed. Do you have any restaurants or area grocery stores that have healthy carry out choices. It is so hard to take the time to cook when you know that the work load is going to take so much time......Hang in There!! :cheer2: April 15th is coming.......

Regina - Keep Moving and Keep Losing!! Sorry I am sending you not so nice weather:(:(

Tara - Keeping my fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you!! Come on scale - keep moving downward!!!! :Pinkbounc

Christie - Fellow Core buddy!! I just started Core - first weigh in is tonight......how do you like it? Have you been on it before? Let's talk!!

Lesli54 - Having a "regular" problem as well....:(:( Can I have a grapefruit instead of grapefruit juice. On Core - I can have as much fruit as a I want but not the juices......I think it is because they are processed.

To the rest of the team - Give a Shout Out!! :cheer2:

How are you all doing??????

Have a GREAT THURSDAY and a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:
