Good news is I lost a pound from my last week's weigh in of 183...I'm now 182 but last Friday and Saturday I saw 181.5...so I'm bummed thinking I should have been able to lose a .5 pound but TOM came and now he's officially gone so hopefully next week will see me grab that 60 pound clippie...I'm still going to weigh daily until I grab it..won't let it slip by me! :)

But it feels good to know that I'm solidly 20 pounds down from where I started 11 weeks ago....Only 22.5 more pounds until the 150's!!!! :) Gonna make it a LOSING week! Thanks for the cheers...it'll happen!

Tara

I just weighed in and lost another 1.6 pounds! This got me down to 179.4 (so I am under 180 finally).

I started on a different challenge here on WISH, so my total weight lose for WISH is 23.8, but on this challenge, I started late, so I would have 9.8 lost during this challenge. I wasn't sure how it counted.

DJ

Congrats Westjones! Those lbs are leaving and you must be feeling better. AHHH, to get under 180 must feel good.

Hang in there Tara, it will happen. :flower:

Linda - I know that juices aren't the best, that is why I cut down to only 8oz a day, and for the most part it is always grapefruit. I used to drink them all day, thinking they couldn't hurt. Fortunately, my grapefruit juice is only juice and water, no sugar, which helps some. You could try just a piece of grapefruit. Who knows? :confused3 I figure you have to make little changes here and there until you find what works best for you. Glad to hear your DH is fine. :flower:

Regina - keep that exercise going. I have a hard time getting it all in, need to work on it. :cheer2:

Kathy - At least you only have 1 week of craziness left and then taxes will be filed. It will be easier to get back to healthier eating then. In the meantime, you look like you are doing well. :sunny:

Christie - keep working at it, you will get there. Just come here when you need a helping hand. :grouphug:

Megan - I just love that name (of course, I am partial, same as one of my DD's). What a great choice you made to draw pics on the sidewalk! Getting back to basics, reminding yourself of the good 'ol days and how you had fun, really does take the stress off losing weight and makes you realize that life can be very beautiful. You also made an excellent choice on the grapes instead of chocolate. It will take some time, but soon your body will adjust and you won't crave the sugar near as much. Keep up the good work. :cheer2:

I am managing to stay more in control of my food choices and when the choices are not great, due to unforseen circumstances (like DH takes you out to Chinese buffet), then I am practicing good portion control. Also, I am noticing that there is less need to go crazy on munchies and am getting to where I think about them less and less. It's not perfect, but it is getting there. :cool1:

Everyone else keep up the good work! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Today was a much better day. Met my goals for eating, water consumption, choice of foods. Did not meet my exercise goal. My goal was to exercise for 60 min. Only managed 40.

Lesli - the craziness will not end right away. I will be down on Long Island for the next two weeks, back in Syracuse for a week, back to LI for another 2 weeks, back to Sryacue for a week, LI for another week, and then Disney for a week (will be more than ready to vacation)

Keep up with all the losing. :cheer2: :cheer2: Let's get rid of all the excess pounds.

ONward and DOWNward

Evening all!! :flower:

Couldn't wait until the morning when I normally post........Went to my first WW weigh in on CORE and drum roll please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOST 4.2 POUNDS!!!!!!!!
:cloud9: :cloud9:

WOO HOO for me!! :cool1: :cool1:

I was so nervous that once again I would show nothing or a .2 of one pound. I know I know this will not be the norm and there will be weeks that I am really down..........BUT it is a good start :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Of course I have seen this number on the scale before.......now comes the true test in the next few weeks.......can I really get down to 159????

OK That is my news of the moment..........off to get ready for tomorrow........Thanks for listening :grouphug:

Keep Moving and Keep Losing!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!!

Linda

Just checking in before turning in for the night and had to be BLOWN away by your first CORE weigh in Chrismiss!!!    OH MY GOODNESS!!! You must be on cloud 10!!! You jumped right off of cloud nine!!! :cloud9:

YES!! YOU CAN GET DOWN TO 159... WE ALL CAN!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Kathy!! GREAT news on your eating today!!! And 40 minutes (although not your goal) is GREAT!!! To me anything over 30 minutes is fat burning zone...so you got some in and will tone that body before you know it!! When are you going to Disney??? I think I've asked you before....I think you're planning on the week before me...if we sell our house this month we'll be there May 16-22...I would LOVE to see you!!!

Megan!! WAY TO GO ON THE GRAPES!! And we were making chalk pictures together!! My daughter's talked me into making a hopscotch and yes...I managed to hopscotch up to number 6 then I made an excuse to have to go check on dinner! It's hard doing all that jumping!!! :) It's all about choosing foods to eat that will help us stay strong and energized....you're making GREAT decisions and you'll be on your way to a GREAT 16! :)

Regina!! Working it...working it  That's alot of moving today!! Here's hoping the weather stays good and your legs take you all kinds of places!! :) Moving moving moving....let's get our bodies moving...high five!! (Sung to that old chuck wagon song)

Lesli...you are sooo on TARGET!!! It's all about portion control (and moving..moving..moving! ) for me...I look back at what I could eat in a day and realize how in the world was I not bigger than I was??? OH! And I was tired all the time!! Amazing what tens of pounds off will do for your energy level. CONGRATS on making wise choices and shoo on dh for that chinese buffet...I have to avoid those like the plague...nothing but sweet and sour everything for me! :)

DJ!!! You snuck in there...your post was tiny compared to the HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT YOU JUST POSTED!!!! :cheer2:  :cheer2:  YOU ARE IN THE 170's!!!! Do you realize that???? You are less than 20 pounds away from being inducted with Tera into that beautiful place of a healthy weight! YAHOO!!!! I'll update your losses on the first page!!! 9.8 is GREAT!!!!

Off to sleepy time..after I read another short story by Deaver...anyone good with mystery writers? My husband picks these paperbacks up when he has to fly out for business and this Deaver guy is good! He wrote Vanished Man and Garden of Beasts...I liked both..but now I'm ready for someone new...anyone have any favorite mystery authors?
I did manage to do the 4-mile WATP today..felt great! It does get way boring around mile 3 but I just kept thinking of you guys and kept moving my body!!! This weight CAN'T stay on! :)

Tara

Mornin All!! :sunny:

Chicago will be back in sunshine again today!! :sunny:

Ok - after treating myself last night to a few unmentionable foods last night I am back on track today!! Need to see some more weight loss :rotfl:

Off to Ohio this weekend (6 1/2 hours in the car - oh yea:) then I can finally put the suitcase away. Good thing is that we will hook up with DD20 and get to maybe have dinner with her :cloud9:

Kathy - Where are you staying in WDW? Our favorite is any of the Epcot Resorts (especially BW and really get excited when we can afford a 2 bdr. villa). What about everyone else? Where do they like to stay?

Megan- Grapes are a great snack and GOOD for you!! Way to go making a good choice. ;)

Tara - Keep focused........you can do this. Hoping when I come back from Ohio you will be doing cartwheels about your weight loss. Mystery authors.....love John Sanford (The Prey Series - all the titles have prey in it and the lead character is Lucas Davenport), J.D.Robb (Death series - not quite as intense as Sanford but still a good read - main character is Eve Duncan), Jeffery Deaver has a series of books that are really good with the lead character Lincoln Rhymes - you should really try them, also he wrote a book called Pretty Maidens All In A Row (I think that is it) that is EXCELLENT. How about James Patterson's Alex Cross series........I could go on and on......I am a HUGE reader. Never go anywhere without a book....

To all my favorite LOSERS - Keep Moving :bounce: :Pinkbounc Keep Losing :cheer2:

Happy Friday

Have a magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

Hey gang!!!

Two changes!!! Take a lookie at my clippie!!!! :)

I weighed 3x to be sure...180.5!!! 180.5!!!! and 180.5!!!!! YAHOO!!!

Also that officially puts me on the OVER THE HUMP side of my journey to 150!!! I've crossed that halfway point and soon will only have teens to lose then singles to lose before I see that beaauuuutiful number 159.5. Very curious to see if I'll fit into my dream pants then or if I'll have to go down to 150. But I'm on my way...and I'm more determined to stick to a good plan and not let stress (like yesterday) make me want to reach for the not soo great stuff...

Thanks guys!! I'm going to blast through today and get alot done!!! Got to do some packing for our open house and lady coming to "stage" our house...lots of heavy moving and putting away so it should be a fun day.

LOVING this FEELING!!!

Tara

That is great, Tara! I love the clippie. I am hoping for a new one by the end of the month (but I have a long ways to go to get one like yours). I am just a pound under you, so we will be on the ''same" journey to the 150s!

Tara, since you like the dancing banana.........then do the banana dance!!

THAT 60LB CLIPPIE LOOKS SO GOOD!

Way to go. Not too much longer now and you will have your goal.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Linda, good job on the lbs. lost!! It must feel so good to be almost in the 150's!! Hey and the sun is shining here again!!
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Kathy - Sounds like you will definitely need that vacation. Do yourself a favor and don't take the work on vacation. AHHHH....to be in WDW, again. Our trip is in June so I'll have to wait.

Great news this morning! I wish it was lost lbs, but I think that Chinese food is holding some water, even though I have drank almost 90oz ea day in the last two days. Anyway, I did 40 MINUTES of Taebo this morning! :cheer2: I missed the last 5 since I had to get kids out the door. But it is much better than the 20 I was doing last week. AND I was keeping up for the most part. My form probably is laughable, but I was sweating and it was hard work. :cheer2: I am so proud of myself.

Also, it is officially 1 month and 10 days before DD17 and I leave for London! Booked the flights last night. Do you know that they actually change the prices of flights while you are looking online? I looked at the same flights and while I was shopping around, went back to where I started and the prices had changed. Looked around again, and they changed. I finally did find one I was happy with, but that was enough to drive me nuts. Oh well, we are going!

Have a great day and keep up the good work. Hope everyone can grab a new clippie on Monday (including me). ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Great Job! And it sounds like a great trip! That is so neat that you and your DD are going on this trip. I have always wanted to go to London! How fun!

Tara - the new clippie looks great on you.:cool1::cool1: You will see the 150''s by July 4th with no problems with you current progress. Hope the house sells soon so you can go on you Disney trip in May. We will be there from May 29 to June 5, about 2 weeks after you.

Linda - we will be staying at OKW. Our first WDW ::MickeyMotrip since becoming DVC members. We have stayed at All Star Movies the last 2 trips. This will be our second trip with 3 generations of women::MinnieMo::MinnieMo::MinnieMo going. We are taking my mom, who has only been a widow about a year, with us again. She insists she can walk but did resort to a wheelchair during our Xmas 2004 trip. She walked the first 2 days but was in agony by the end of the day. She has had 2 knee replacements. There is not a sturborn streak in our ansestory. My father always insisted we got our stubbornness from my mother. I think we got it from both side.

Lesli - even if I did take work, I know I would not look at it. Therefore there is no reason to make the luggage heavier. Also need to save room to bring back stuff.

Should get back to doing tax returns,:rolleyes::rolleyes: or I will have to work all day tomorrow intead of half the day. Also, my mother is down for the weekend. She was getting cabin fever and we have not seen each other for 5 weeks. I also will be down on Long Island the next two weeks.

Onward and downward :banana::banana:

I haven't checked in for several weeks. I'm sorry guys. Things have been busy and I was so frustrated with the scale not moving. It's finally moving again though! I'm down 3 pounds! We'll see if it holds through official weigh in day on Sunday.

Tara - congrats on your beautiful 60 pound clippie!

I have to be more regular with checking in on our thread. I'm determined to lose these last 20 pounds (well 18 pounds now) and get to the coveted 150 pound club. Take care guys and I'll be back soon.

Hey guys, how ya' doin'??

Been really busy here. School has kind of kicked up a notch. YOu know, "It's what time of year?? We gotta get this stuff done!!" Little by little, it WILL get done. My girls are pretty good at making sure they keep to it (with a little push from mom :) ). They have around 35 lessons to go and summer can come!! :cool1:

Going to a fund raising banquet tonight with DH and some friends. Should be a really nice time. DH and I haven't had a date in a while, so this will help with that.

DJ...............great job on the weight loss!! Way to go!

Tara..........that clippie sure looks good! ;)

Linda..............WOW......I told you it would be a good week! Woo! :cool1:  Have a great time with your daughter and a safe trip. :wave2:

Lesli..............London!!! Cool!! I love planning trips. I mean, it's like an addiction. Not just Disney either. I just love to travel. I think it goes back to the college singing team I was on. We took a year off from college and traveled and sang our way through most of the US. That's how I met my DH. So travel is in our blood. We love it. But London.........that would take me a while to plan that one. I would so love to go to Europe one day, especially Italy. But there is so much of the US I want to see (and see again). Have a blast, I'm sure you will.

Everybody else...........keep with your programs and keep up the good work. We'll get there........each of us in our own time. :grouphug:

Lisa............that is totally awesome! Only 18 pounds to go to goal?? WOW! You've done such a great job. You and April are such an encouragement to me since you have both been big losers and I'm trying to be one. :teeth: ;)

Keep it up girl and you'll do it! :cool1:

DJ!! Let's make a pinkie promise and get out of the 170's as fast as we can!!! I AM going to be in the 170's this week, I am, I am...I do believe in Whoosh Fairies, I do I do!!! :)

Kathy! We loved OKW!!! It was Great having a kitchen and it really was a special trip for us ...I know you'll love it! Take lots of pictures...not often 3 generations get to do Disney! :)

Zeraspride!! WAHOO!!! 3 pounds!!!   Now ya know you only have to get to 159.5 when the real partying starts to happen..so you may be closer than you think! :) Sometimes those first few pounds are the key in breaking a plateau...from here on in you'll see smooth sailings!! :)

Mom to dwarfs :) How was your date out???? I don't know what to do with myself if it's just dh and me...we look at each other like a pair of codfish....What? You get a break? :) Our school goes year round but we do take every 6th week off so we do get that nice break and we do take most of December off...I realized early on that ya just never get much school work done around the holidays....being pulled to concerts...volunteer events...crafts and cookie making...so we stop our school year the first week of December and start a new grade in January. Good luck to your girls..that promise of a whole summer off will get them moving fast on their coursework! :)

Note to self and team....do not try some insane insanity hot sauce....played cards at some friends house and they brought a bottle back from California...how hot could it be??? I promise I put just a smidgeon on a chip and WOWZERS!!! I had to finish the salsa off to counteract the burning on my tongue!! The ingredients say "hot peppers" but what kind of hot peppers did they use??? Atomic??? OUCH!

Have a great weekend guys!! After that hot sauce and having to eat enough chips/salsa to counteract it I'm gonna need some good losing eating days ahead to see the 170's!! :)

Love you guys!
Tara

Lesli...who's all going to London?? Have you been before? I went once in college and we're planning to go next year with the kids....I'm having the hardest time finding accomodations for five....is it just two of you?? Would love to hear all the details!!! I'm like Pam...I just love planning and feel it's half the fun! :) We've saved up half our airline tickets in miles and hope we can save the rest...weird to hear about the change in prices...I didn't know that. Let me know how London is this time of year...trying to decide whether to do April or September. I went in March and it was decent but really drizzly and cool. Have a GREAT GREAT time!!!

Hey everyone!

Haven't posted in awhile 'cause there's just been no progress to report. I lost only one sad little pound in Feb, then NOTHING in Mar. Too frustrating!

But I got medieval with my food this past week and the scale's on the move again! Monday's my official weigh day, but I'm hoping to report a 2lb wt loss. That's right...this morning the scale said 171. Haven't seen that number since the second trimester of my last pregnancy. (She's 2 now ;) ) If I break into the 160's by the end of this month, there's gonna have to be some serious celebrating :dancer:

Tara...have you ever considered becoming a personal coach? You are one of the MOST motivational people I've ever known! Thanks for all you do here!

Kathy...when will you be at OKW? I think I remember Lynne mentioning a trip at the end of May? We'll be there May 26-30, also at OKW!

Well, yesterday could have been much better. I was tired through part of the day (not enough sleep) and that started the 2 GS cookies, handful of totitos, handful of cheetos, and the Marie Calendar's chicken pot pie choices. When I am tired, I just don't make good choices. I wanted to take a power nap, but that didn't happen. It should get better, since I don't think there is any reason to stay up past 10:30, but sometimes things happen and you just do. I'm not too worried about it, because I will move on, but what do you guys do when you are tired? Do you find it hard to stick with the plan? :confused3

London! It is just the two of us. Kind of a mother/daughter "you have graduated trip". We had this planned a few years ago with a friend and her daughter, but at the last minute they had a grandmother pass away, so we put the trip on hold. They were going with this year, but my friend had a bad car accident (she's fine but still healing) and the doc said she couldn't fly for awhile. So I am looking at this as a time to spend with my oldest before she goes to college and I don't get to see her as often. I really love to travel!

I have not been to London before, so this will be a nice change of pace. But I am planning on taking a day down to Paris while we are there. I haven't been to Paris in 20 years and want so much to go back. Hopefully, I can convince DH to go for our 10th anniversary next year. :rolleyes1 Italy is beautiful and hopefully one day, I will get back there as well. I will post trip details. But yes, there are many things to see in the US. Every third year we go to WDW and on the 2 years off, we travel somewhere in the US.

Linda - glad to hear that you can leave work behind. It is hard for some, but DH has learned. Our first day in WDW is June 5 and we will be starting our stay at the BWV.

Zeraspride - :cheer2: :cheer2: You lost 3 lbs!! Yeah!! :cheer2: :cheer2: How great it must feel to have lost almost 150. What an inspiration!

Tara - How could you? :confused3 The word INSANE on the bottle should have given you a clue, even if it was from CA. Let's look at the bright side, maybe that hot sauce really kicked up your metabolism so you can get to the 170's quick. :rotfl2:

To the home school moms - How do you do it? What was the reason you chose to home school? We considered it many years ago, but for many reasons chose not to. Would have sent the kids to private school if there was one closer (a good 1/2 hr drive for me everyday, one way). I am just amazed at the number of home school moms on this board. Your patience must be high.

Everyone keep up the good work! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Congrats Mel on the 2 lbs.!! :cheer2: The 160's are just around the corner!!! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo
