:goodvibes Hello there! I survived! I know I had a good time. At the closing program three or four parents came up and personally thanked me. That felt amazing!

Water has been good. Eating hasn't been as good as I would like and I've probably gained back all the weight I lost, plus some. It totally wouldn't surprise me. I haven't had time to exercise and am hoping to get a good long tennis session in today. I was at the mercy of the snack people last week (except all they served was juice to drink...no backups. Not a smart plan, snack people.)

I'm not expecting much for WI tomorrow.

Off to eat healthily and go to the library-hey there are new smilies!! :joker: :butterfly :butterfly

I had 2 cups of cereal for breakfast. That's a definite step in the right direction.

Tiggercheer--glad you had a great time! Good luck on WI

Well, here it is! WI for this week is 0! Yuk! I am at the same from last week. Did go up mid week, but back down for today. (Thank goodness!)

Working on exercise, and going to join a gym this week. Need to get some toning action going!

Looking so forward to the new Pirates movie! DS wants to hit it the first night out. I am suggesting to wait a few days. DD is have a girl friend sleep over on the 12th which includes a jaunt to the movies to see Pirates2. It will be fun.

Great losses to all!

Wendy

Thanks for all the warm welcomes! WISH folks are the best!

I am really happy to report that I had a great loss last week. I am down 8.5 lbs.! I've was almost 100% OP all week with the exception of having to use 5 of my WW flexies one day. I am also drinking TONS of water so that is helping. I haven't been able to add much exercise in yet because I'm still recovering from surgery but hope that the exercise will keep me at that loss level.

Congrats to all the losers out there. Good luck being good tomorrow and remember that watermelon is a favorite 4th of July treat that is super-healthy and low-fat too!

Happy OP and loser vibes to all!

Well, thanks tbstein!!!

You know, sometimes I think I'm fighting a losing battle in this weight loss war. I work at an ice cream place and I love my job to death (and am starting this trend where I don't eat anything there. I've only worked one day since I got back, so it's been working!) I have little control over the groceries that come into my house (A. I don't buy the groceries. B. I am usually in school or at work when the grocery shopping gets done.). School food is a nutritional wasteland but I can't seem to find time to pack a lunch <--I know I shouldn't be yakking if I can't change it, but it's the truth! Exercise opportunities abound but I just want a little time to do summer like things (like sleeping in and being with friends) between my job and volunteering because I love doing all of those things!

But you know, even in the hard times, there is sunshine. I really believe I have come a long way even though it's hard to tell at times. I'm drinking a TON of water, and avoiding McDonalds food. I'm trying to make the best choices I can and am learning the hard way sometimes. I have the knowledge, I just need to put it into use.

Starting at my dinner today, I'm going to focus on doing this. I really hope to say that I will succeed this time :) It's going to be hard-there are conspiring forces everywhere. But I'm going to try, and I will fall because falling happens to the best of us-the important part is the getting back up.

As soon as I wrap this up, I am going off to search for my yoga tape and drink a glass of water.

I leave this entry with a reaffirmed confidence that I'm a better person writing this than I was 10 minutes ago.

TPCShauna-
Congrats on the 100% OP week! I need to find a flexible plan that's good for me.

For some reason I thought I had come back to post but apparently not.

Thank you all for the welcome!

I found out that some of that 8 pounds was water weight (not that I really didn't know that) so two of it came back and I lost them again this week so I'm still at 210 but hopefully they are gone for good this time.

I've just been watching my portion sizes, switching to low fat/fat free options, and choosing whole grains over not whole grain options. I've started switching things out in our kitchen to reflect those changes.

I just joined foodfit.com today and we'll see how that works out. This week will be a little tough as I've got a girl friend coming into town with her family on Wednesday so there will be two difficult days in there where we've got guests but I'm going to work on keeping everything under control.

We joined our local community rec center/gym and we're going swimming tonight as a family. (I'll finally have some minutes to post to the July exercise challenge) On Wednesday I'm hoping to get in an exercise class, like one of the water classes, and I'm hoping to start going regularly. I need to get moving and eating better.

A few weeks ago I had a physical for the first time in 7 years (I hadn't been sick and then I was pregnant so I was constantly (it felt that way) at the doctors) and found out that my cholesterol was a little high and so is my blood pressure so I'm trying to work out those issues so we can think about having another baby. I'd really like to be here for DD (2) when she's older.

Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Congratulations to this weeks losers!

Oh my goodness-I did it! I did my yoga :)

I got steamed dumplings from the Chinese place up town-delish!! Dinner was a salad with a pork chop (grilled) chopped in it and Ramen noodles.

Welcome o2bacelt! You must have came while I was gone. :dance3:

Happy 4th, WISHers! Let's celebrate life the healthy way!

Okay-
WI!!!!

Last week I was: 196 (all the good food at VBS and Alive caught up with me)
This week I am: 195! YEAH!!! Isn't that amazing?

My dd just celebrated her first birthday this past Friday. My family came to visit and we ate out on Wed night, Thursday afternoon and evening, went to Boston on Friday and guess what, we ate out for lunch and dinner then too. On Sat we had the b-day party filled with ice cream cake, chocolate cake, burgers, hotdogs, potato salad, etc, etc. So after all that eating I thought for sure I had gained back my 4 measly pounds I managed to lose but I took the plunge today and stepped on that scale and low and behold my weight was the same. I didn't lose anything but even better I didn't gain anything back either. But now that the party is over I am focusing back on losing 6 pounds by the end of July. I have to get to the 20 pound weight loss mark by Sept 30th when we leave for WDW!!!

Congrats out there to all of you who have lost or maintained this past week!!! :thumbsup2

I'm back 150'ers! Back and ready to join you again! Started yesterday and doing well. I hope everyone else is too!

Hey guys!! Sorry I was late updating the losses...just returned from a weekend of eating and family...why do they always seem to go together? But I did manage to lose a pound so I'm 32 pounds away from goal...I'm kicking it up this week with more activity and lots more water...I've been horrible on that end and TOM just ended yesterday so I should see a good loss by Monday..

CONGRATS to our losers over the 4th!!! THAT IS AWESOME!! And maintainers, you're holding on and gearing up for a loss I just know it!!! If you had an up week just convince yourself that it's the last upweek you'll see all summer...no more major holidays until Labor Day! We can do this!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Tara

Just a quick report -- I'm at 176.5. Considering my stress from visitors, lack of TM time, etc., I'll take it.

Keep going with all the great losses!

After Saturday when the bulk of my company leaves, I mostly get my life back!

Maria

Hey All!
I just went to my weekly weigh-in and I thought for sure that I was up because over the weekend/holiday I used ALL of my flex points. (I saved them for the occasion.) I have been so hungry again. Also because it's close to my TOM.
But guess what? I lost 1.2 lbs. I was so happy! I have lost a total of 7.8 lbs since June 7 and I am now at 194.4. I would like to be at 10 lbs. lost by next week so I think I am going to try to exercise like crazy over the next week. I only need to lose 2.2 to make it happen if I figured it correctly.
Good Luck to Everyone!! Have a Disney Day, Renee

Oh Yes! Thanks for that pep talk! Weight loss would be easier if life didn't get in the way. It drives me nuts how our society pushes thin, yet also pushes these huge meals and bad meals (I know, we just rolled out a huge sandwich at work that clogs my arteries just watching the crew make one!) so that eating disorders are on the rise. I am working on health, that more than anything, knowing weight loss will come with it. I am hoping to instill this in my children, especially me DD who is over-weight now, so it will be a life style rather than happenstance. As you say, attitude is everything. We do fall, but those of us with the will to get back up again will be the winners.

Oh-great to hear your on your way to yoga master!

Wendy

Good morning

Well I have made it 1 week without my dh and ds. At times it has been very easy and at times very hard. I still have a week to go. I am trying to keep busy.

I have been doing some cleaning. I cleaned out the freezer and one sheves f of the pantry yesterday. The day before I cleanout the computer desk and some of the shelves around it. If I get my cleaning done this weekend then I can spend next week sewing for myself.

Today I am going blueberry picking with some friends and then one of her daughters are coming over to finish a quilt top that she has been working on. It is an outdoor theme. She loves the outdoors and especially mooses. THey are all over her quilt.

Well all off to do some stretches and clean the kitchen and then off to the farm. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning

Where is everyone?

As usual I am the first one checking in for the week. I am back down to 190. Not as much as I would like but I will take any loss. Good luck everyone else. I hope everyone has had a losing week.

Blueberry picking was great. THey were so much larger than they were last year. I bought 25 pounds. I have been freezing some and I made jam with some more. I will freeze some more today and then bring some to a friend's house tomorrow night when I go for dinner.

Pretty quiet here today. My older son had friends over yesterday and today they are at a water park today so the house is very quiet.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

My WI is Tuesday and I hope I am doing well. I've been very busy (as is custom ;) ) but I have been managing to eat something from every food group at nearly every meal. Yesterday I was at the Community Kids Fun Day (I ran the bubble station) so I got in a little exercise while I was cleaning up. I can't say I've been the best at exercising but I sure am trying.

Today's breakfast: 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios, 2 slices of PB toast.

Off to do some yoga :)

WI is tomorrow! Have been trying not to step on the scale all the time. Gets a bit maddening. Been good this week, and have done my excercise every day but one.

Good luck to us all on our week!

Wendy

Hey gang! Yes, it's getting quiet in here! I'm sorry for not being here as much...summer has gotten really busy but there's no excuse for that! :) I lost another pound...yes 1 pound a week seems to be my mantra...I guess in a year I'll be at goal!! NO!!! I've got to step it up and get some self control...I know I could have lost 2-3 pounds if I just skipped those chocolate chip cookies at my kids slumber party, then there was birthday cake...ugh!

But, no sugar sweets in the house this week and I'm ready with my spinach and tuna...so let's go get some pounds off this week gang! :)

GREAT Job Dona!!! You're knocking on the 180's! I KNOW YOU'LL do it! :)

TC....great vibes for tomorrow's weigh in...when does school start for you? Let's get you revved up for a great healthy start!

TB....make today give you a good weigh in...lots of water and some good fresh foods!

Everyone, come on in and give me your totals let's take this loss challenge to the moon! :)
