150 Club...care to join???

another break friends.... *sigh*

dh and I are ttc, have been for nearly 11years with no joy, and we've now been given the crushing news that we wont be given ivf (the only way for us apparently) unless I weigh 182lbs or 13 stone!

on the bright side I had a small loss this week and can have my 20lb clippie back!

I'm distressed, but I must go with this, I've made a ticker showing my ultimate goal, it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would actually... I'm wanting to aim at losing 3-5lbs a week.

I know I wanted to go for 150lbs anyway, 182 is just a stage on my journey, it's just it seems like such a long way right now :guilty:
 
Binkyboots Good luck on this journey. You can do it. You have a goal. I know that it will not be easy but you have us here to cheer you on. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I haven't been posting because I seem to be in perpetual "hold". I could go into all the excuses, but the bottom line is I haven't been eating or exercising properly.

It sounds like you all have plenty going on. Good luck to everyone with medical tests, etc. I'm sending out a group "prayer" for all of us.

If I can just get started back with small steps again, losses will follow. It's hot, it's sticky, and I know I'm not getting enough sleep. I'm just going to try to be kind to myself.

How about if we all be as nice to ourselves as we would to our best friends? Just a thought.

Hang in there, and we will get to our goals!

I so agree and seconded everything that Maria is saying. I too have been on hold and not very good about staying in touch :guilty: It was easier when I was working at school........I think of everyone and am sending best wishes and heartfelt prayer. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Let's all start taking those baby steps.......to a healthier us.

Hi Everyone,
I am also not doing well with my eating, and I am still having problems with my DD (although they are somewhat better than before---still dealing with it).

I think once the kids are back at school I will be able to do better. We are heading to St. Louis today and will go into the city in the morning to see the Arch. I can't wait! I have never been there before!

So my clothes are tighter....I have gained weight....but I am still determined and once my life gets back into a routine I will do better (I am a person who handles life better when I am in a routine).

Hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted you to know that I haven't left, I am just taking a break for awhile, but I will be back!

Wow-I apologize for not having the time to check in! These three weeks have pretty much been spoken for with my schedule-band camp next week, and yearbook camp/band camp the week after and this week was TOM and work!

Eating has been ok-I've eaten much better, but I am still doing well. Taking things one day at a time over here!

Ok--going to state my WI this week. I am down to 211! That's 3 pounds! I am so excited! Just reinforces those good habits.

I weighed 190 this morning. No change but my eating for the last week has not been as good as the past. Time to get back in gear. Three weeks before my yearly physical
 
I am holding steady at 180. I have started exercising more and plan to limit my soda consumption to 1 per day.

I have to get this weight off. With the extra weight and the humidity, I am having problems fitting into my work clothes.

Yesterday, I rode 12 miles at a fast pace, then another 9 being Lynne's water buffalo while she ran.

Well guys I hesitate to check in because I am so bummed. :guilty: I did really with my first week of eating right and exercised 4 days. But mid week myTOM slipped up on me. Anyway, when I WI yesterday I had gained 2 lbs! :furious: I dont' understand it. My first week.... How does stuff like that happen? I haven't given up I'm still doing good this week and hopefully WI next week will be better. If not I'm afraid I'm going to throw my scales out the door. :sad2:

west4124..I'm always trying to see the good in a bad weigh in....even if the scale showed a plus of 2...I convince myself that with water, fresh foods, and limiting sugar/processed foods then next week it can be a -3 or -4!!! So let's look ahead and not back!! Don't let the scale convince you to placate yourself with a not so good treat...that's usually my response for myself... :guilty: but each day is a new one to change that "usual" and make a better choice! You can do it!!!

That will get those muscles tight and those pants will fit loose again...each day I see my pants fitting more loose I realize I CAN get back to 175 and push on to 159! :) I'm right there with you...I'm pushing for you for that one pound jump into the 170's!!! You hang in there...we all go through busy spurts in our life and it's hard to check in...know we're pulling for you and imagine all the 150'ers from past, present and future sitting around and talking you into those great food choices and moving!!! You will get to the 150's you will get to the 150's!!!

Debra...tighter clothes are a great motivator...stress is a great de-motivator...I say you're doing pretty good to balance the two!! Still thinking of your daughter and hoping the summer brings good changes for her. Stick with it and constantly I'm reminding myself 1200 calories, 1200 calories! :)

Binkyboots!!! Help me out here...what does ttc and ivf mean? I may not know what they mean but I do know I used to weigh close to 260 and when I saw the 190's I thought I'd hit heaven...it seemed like a long road but keeping it steady and keeping active really help you make it there...take a nice 15 minute walk daily with your husband...you'll start feeling stronger and ready to take on the world!!! YOU CAN do this!!! I remember when I applied for life insurance, they said I had to weigh 185 or less...at the time I was 238...I was thrilled when 4 months later I called them back and they couldn't believe I was 182!!! :) I was thrilled, too!! You can do it! :)

Linda Maria!! Let's get busy!!! We can lose pounds for week 6...it's going to be my banner week....it's soooo hot here...heat index of 110 tomorrow! But I think I can make some time for exercise! :)

checking in time (though not weighing in, staying off thos darn scales till friday!)

thus far the week has been ok, the heat is really helping though, it's far too hot to eat! raspberries and toast are about as much cooking as I've done (what I'd give for air conditioning here!)

we learnt a whole new language when we started out, the amount of abreviations, lol, I should write a dictionary!

for the rest of this week I'm trying to step up the exercise, the heat is a bit of a hindrance, but nevermind! I'm taking the dogs to the beach in the early mornings, it's cooler and walking on the sand uses more energy!

hopefully we're all going berry picking on thursday, that's great, it's so much fun that the walking seems to be no work at all.
 
Hello everyone. Boy is it hot here. Heat in the 90's with index around 105. It is supposed to be better here tomorrow. I hope so. My son is starting his Eagle Project and it is working outside. I am glad that it is going to be cooler here in NJ. I hope it gets better soon whereever you are.

Tara I weighed in at 190 yesterday so I am back down a pound. You should also find a great doctor and schedule that physical. Even though I I have several problems they are small compared to some other people and with my doctor's help they are livable She is a great listener and also a cheerleader who is willing to cheer me up when I get down on myself.

Congrats to all those who have lost in the last week. For those who stayed the same, at least it wasn't a gain. For those who had a bad week, keep pluggin along. Things will turn around
 
I'm late posting. I'm down to 207. I was waiting until Aunt Flo left since she usually brings a couple of pounds of water weight, she left yesterday and took the 3 pounds of water with her when she left. Not too much longer now until I'll ba back in the 100's. I'm pushing hard with my workouts. This week is a strange week but it's allowing me to change up a little. I usually do a lot of deep water running since my knees won't tolerate running on pavement. Our pool is closed from Thursday night until Sunday morning because of a swim meet so no water exercise. I'll be working out on Thursday morning so I can get in a deep water run, then Friday I'll be taking a spin class, never done that before, then Saturday I'm planning on walking the suspended track and using the weight room. Sunday is always my day off from exercise. Friday's I ease up on my food a little, it's pizza night at home, I don't go crazy but I'll a little less uptight about it.

I'm hoping to check in more often.

I can't believe I'm down 11 pounds from my start a few weeks ago. I'm really happy about it and excited that things are going so well.

Just checkin' in. I'm not weighing this week, TOM is here. By the way, I did go down to 176.5, for the "official record". Who knows where I'm at now, but I did, for a fleeting moment, have some success...

Next week I can get my life back. Still in the middle of my kitchen/pantry upgrade, and with company in my workout area...It's really going to feel great to get back on the TM, so at least I'm looking forward to it!

Next week is going to be like a fresh, new start for me. Anyone else need one?! :goodvibes

We still have plenty of summer left to get losing. I'm throwing out getting to a particular number, my new goal is going to be just to show steady losses. Even if it's half a pound a week. I am setting my sights lower, because I think I aim too high and then get discouraged when I don't see massive progress in a week. So, I will get a baseline again next Monday, and just shoot for a loss, any loss, for the following week.

Congratulations to everyone who is losing or maintaining. And if you're not losing pounds but you're losing inches, you are still succeeding! :thumbsup2

Even those like me who either gain or stay stagnant, just making any effort is better than giving up! :grouphug:

Hi All!
I just went to my WW meeting and weighed in at 193.4 which means I have only lost .6 this week and a total of 8.8 lost total since June 7. I am obviously taking baby steps in my weight loss program. I wish I could take a couple leaps once in awhile!! At least the scale keeps going down.
Keep it up everyone! We will reach our goal as long as we all keep in mind that we can do this together! I love knowing that I have others that I can share my joys and concerns with. People that really understand!
