Morning Friends!! :sunny:

Sunny and chilly here :sunny: :cold: :sunny:

We are suppose to be freeeeeeeeeeezing on Thanksgiving :cold: :cold:

Spent yesterday doing some Ebaying. I have to say I admire those people who do it full time. I would not have the patience. Working on cleaning out the room with the pool table so I can set up my indoor exercise area. :) If it doesn't sell this week it will be donated to charity.

Need to start Christmas shopping.....so far behind this year. I really think the nice weather prevented me for getting in the mood. Tree is going up this weekend. :Pinkbounc

Just maintaining for the week - have decided NOT to give myself a good laugh :rotfl: won't be getting on the scale this week. :rotfl2:

Kathy - Hope your DD makes it in safely :moped: - so glad mine is home already. Good luck with the seminars.........I am not a meeting person at all. :goodvibes

Jen- What is vanilla bread? Sounds interesting.......hope you had a more successful evening!! :flower:

Debra and Tara - Just keep talking about home baked goods. I am not interested at all so it is a very safe subject with me. Now if you want to talk about appetizers, salty, crunchy things to eat........I will have to run and hidddddddddddde that is my downfall :teeth: Give me the appetizer tray anytime :teeth:

Tara - Bless you for taking your grandmother with :wizard: Here is wishing that you have an uneventful drive :cloud9: Where do your parents live?

Maria - how did you do staying out of the kitchen and cutting off the eating. I have not done well the last couple of days but will keep trying as should you :cheer2: :cheer2: We can do this!! :cheer2:

Lots to do today and not enough time to do it :earboy2: :earboy2:

Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda

Good morning everyone! :wave2:

I was off work yesterday and again today and I hope I don't gain any weight :earboy2: When at work I am on my feet the WHOLE time so when I'm home I tend to just relax.

Last night I made cookies for the kids and I only had two!! :cheer2: I am so proud of myself. In the past I would eat, and eat, and eat until my stomach hurt. Two was plenty, and I didn't feel deprived or left out.

I am only 5 pounds away from the 160s. I am soo excited! I am living in a realistic world so I know that I may not reach it before Jan. After all, we are going to WDW on the dining plan in 9 days! But I do hope that all that walking will help alleviate too much weight gain.

:goodvibes Good luck to everyone with Thanksgiving this week :goodvibes

We don't have any family anywhere near us, so it's always a low-key event here. No big turkey. This year I don't think we're even going to make one... just dh and I eat it. Too much work and trouble for just the two of us. I think we're going to go with Chicken in the Oven and then I'll make some stuffing on the side.

Now, do I make a pumpkin pie or not?? I wonder how much fat is in one?

Kathy! That day yesterday does sound boring!! I'm just amazed you had it in you to get yourself together for a 2 mile walk!! There's no stopping you and those legs! :) I'd just want to go home and go to bed after those boring seminars! GOOD JOB!!! I'm not a HUGE fan of turkey but I do like the southern dressing with it and a bit of gravy..oh my!

Jen...never heard of vanilla bread...I probably shouldn't even ask...what is it? And, oh, fries..I'm trying my best to GIVE them up until I hit the 150's...that alone should send me into orbit losing speed! : ) You're doing great with all your activities and portion control!!! WAY TO GO!

Maria!!! Yeah! Buddies are here!! I think it will keep me in check!! And hold me accountable! Just tell your cherry pie friend that I'm way down south in Alabama...no one will ever know! :) I hope your son is doing better...those bumps and bruises are no fun!

Linda...I won't mention the bacon wrapped chestnuts in chili sauce/brown sugar/ drizzle...oh my gosh!!! I'm a nut for appetizers too!! I'm going to do great this Turkey day because I'm avoiding making ANYTHING! :) My parents live outside of Memphis...my grandmother lives about an 1.5 from me then I'll have to drive 3 hours to Memphis..I'm hoping she'll sleep the whole way. She's a dear heart but rather forgetful...I'm afraid she'll keep nodding off and waking up asking who I am. But, man, she made the best pound cakes EVER...we can't find her recipe book! :confused3

Good Ol Gal!!! I'm coming with you!!! Don't wait up for the 160's...I'll be right on your tail..you just scoot on down there! :) Pumpkin pie sounds good to me...not much fat..and it's a fruit! :) So good for ya! :)

Gotta run!!! Hoping warmer weather is coming here! :)
Tara

Hi Everyone!

For Thursday night our 'movie' is the Findind Nemo that ABC is showing. The girls are excited about that (and I like it too).

I've been out shopping for tomorrow's cooking. I get all the cooking done tomorrow and Thursday I have everything timed out and I start the oven up around 10:00 to have the meal ready by 12:30.

I wish I didn't love homemade good so much. Hey, I have a good sweet potato recipe that was a 'family' recipe for someone who parted with it years ago. Since then I have passed it on to 3 other families who are also now using it as a family tradition, and one of those friends told me many of the people at her church are now using it to (guess the 'secret' is out--but the person I got it from lives in another state, so it is probably still a 'secret' there). Here it is:

2 cups mashed sweet potatoes (I use canned, and drain off the liquid and then use an electric hand held blender to mash them up completely).
1 1 /4 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 stick butter (or margarine)
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

TOPPING:
3/4 cups crushed cornflakes
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 stick butter (or margarine)

Mix together and bake in a greased casserole at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Take out of the oven and add the TOPPING. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

I don't usually like sweet potatoes, but I love this and so do my kids.

Debra

OH MY GOSH!!!!

Bacon Wrapped Chestnuts!!! WOO HOO!!! Who has the toothpicks!!

One of my favorite FAT foods. :rotfl2:

Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda

Today was pretty okay. The vanilla bread* (Pepperige Farm French toast swirl French Vanilla) found its way into my hand and it was breakfast. :confused3

Vanilla bread
Lunch was 1/4 slice pizza (I was doing my extra credit crossword I just got and was too busy to eat)
Snacking was a bit of a minor setback. There are marshmallows and Lays Chips in my house, and a somewhat bored Jen. Not a good combination, let me tell you.

The good news is that we are getting a LOT of carrots tomorrow (I asked), no school and cheerleading practice :) Yay!

Water: 8 ounces, most of which I spilled on myself
Exercise: off to do my yoga.

Good news!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can fit in a size 16 Levi Strauss jeans!!!!!!!!! I mean, each thing is different (size and clothes maker) and the jeans were a LITTLE tight but better than the ones I have on now-the 18's which are threatening to fall off my waist should I bend down too far!!!

A pretty successful day, though. Thanks Tara!

Oh, and did I mention? Pizza (pizzAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!) for dinner. Ay yi yi!

Hi everyone! I'm gearing up for Friday & getting my shopping list in order :cool1: Yes, I'm one of the psycho's that are going shopping that day.

As far as eating, been doing great this week, trying to get the last 2 pounds of my Thanksgiving challenge off by Thur. And I'll get the next clippie :Pinkbounc

I plan on eating lite breakfast & am going to have whatever I want for dinner. The good news is it is at a friends house so the leftovers will stay there. Then come Fri a.m. back at it!

Good ol gal-congrats on only eating 2 cookies. I would eat the dough and the cooked product :)

Sounds like everyone is doing pretty good. Just remember, it's kind of like AA. Take 1 day at a time, 1 pound at a time!

Today's been okay. It's snowing and sticking!!!! Yeah and no.

B: 3 pancakes, a sausage and some hashbrowns.
L: 2 slices pizza.
S: 0 yet

Cheerleading practice: 1 hr of it!! And I am pooped. I was going to walk to the drugstore...in the blowing snow, there and back...to get posterboards for my cheerleading posters but I am TOO tired.

Water: 30 ounces!!

See ya!

I snowed today! I can't belive it!

It is done now, but we usually don't get snow here until after Christmas!

I am done making food, and the house is as clean as it is going to be. We are going out to eat at Cheeseburger in Paradise in about an hour. OUr first time. We just got this restaurant here about 2 weeks ago and in our boring little city the 'big' thing is to go to the new restaurant when it opens...so it has been very crowded every time we have gone by. Today's plan is to go at 4:00 when it opens and hope it isn't crowded. I have no idea if we will like it or not, but at least we can say we went at least once.

Hope everyone is having a good holiday week! Take care! Enjoy your Thanksgiving and next week we will all be back on track for a month of healthy eating (before Christmas).

Take care!
Debra

I know!!!!!!!! It snowed!!!!!!! YAY for snow!

Enjoy Thanksgiving, all! I know I will!!

TO MY DEAR FRIENDS AND FELLOW LOSERS!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND YOURS!! :grouphug:

Thankful for what I have and even more thankful when I lose the parts of my butt, thighs, stomach :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (you get the picture).

Enjoy the meal (but not too much) :goodvibes

And as always. . .

HAVE A MAGICAL DISNEY DAY!!
Linda

I finished my first official race. Didi the Turkey Trot this morning;. It was supposed to be a 5 miler but the garmin says I only did 4.6 miles. My time was 1:06. When I crossed the fininsh line, someone standing their "She's only a 5 miler." Some of the 10 milers were starting to come in also.

The temp was hovering around freezing and it snowede during part of the race. I didn't get cold until after I stopped.

My splits were:
Mile 1 - 12.52
Mile 2 - 14.22
Mile 3 - 14.05
Mile 4 - 15.20 (walked whole mile, no jogging)
Mille .6 - 7.44

If I can keep up that pace for the half, I will definitely get the Donald medal.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone. Am off for a 2.5 hr drive to my Mom's even though she said not to come. It is currently snowing here and she is a worry wort. But she keeps saying I got my stubborness from my Dad.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful day.

Maria I thought about you as I sat there listening to my oh-so-skinny inlaws talk about their "weight" issues. Hope your day went better than mine.

Kathy, congrats on the Turkey Trot! That is a wonderful accomplishment.

I'll be up bright and early tomorrow for shopping. Can you believe I am going to Toys-R-Us?!?! Hopefully running the aisles can count as my exercise for tomorrow I think I'll be exhausted afterwards.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Haley

Thanks for the Welcome Chrismiss56!! Im looking forward to getting to know all of you! Im about 32 pounds from my initial goal of 150. I have 32 pounds to lose after that to get to the goal that my doctor has set for me of 113 pounds. I am very short so he wants me down to that weight. Ya know it doesnt seem that bad when you break it up like that LOL!! My problem is that I have to get moving. I have arthritis and fibromyalgia and moving around for extended periods gets painful but Im just gonna have to do it. Thankfully I do a lot of moving around at work even though I work in a doctors office. Im always up and down and bending and stooping etc.... That helps some but I know I need to do more. Dh told reissued his challenge to me today and told me that if I get to goal I get a few days at the Poly Concierge!!! He is overweight too so I dont feel threatened by him issuing me a challenge. He is just trying to give me a great goal....besides being thinner....to work for and a gift for all my hard work.

I was going to ask the same thing. My ultimate goal is 125 but my next mini goal is 150. I have lost 33lb so far and have 7lb to get to my next mini goal. I know this might not seem a lot but I am now beginning to struggle. I had wanted to get to 150 for my trip to WDW but we leave in 26 days so I guess that won't happen (although I still would like to get as close to 150 as possible.)

Welcome Danauk and lvseeyore!!!

Today's been a very snacky day...mashed potatoes, a smidge of pie, 10 bites of noodles, and rolls...

Wow. So not good.

Water=30 ounces from a little bunny cup!!!

Exercise=16 minutes getting ready for the League Preview tomorrow!

Welcome to the 150 Club, Danauk and lvseeyore!

Everyone's a bit quiet right now because of the holiday. I have been really bad these last two days, but I expected that. I am hoping to get back on track for the most part tomorrow, but Monday will be back in line for sure (I do better on weekdays).

Hope everyone is doing well. I didn't do the early shopping thing. I really hate crowds.

I have a couple of gifts left to buy and then I am done with Christmas. Is everyone ready to say goodbye to November? I can't believe December is next week!

Debra
