Mornin All!! :sunny:

It is 10 degrees outside brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :cold: I HATE COLD!!!

Now that I got that out of my system I am doing much better  . Still crazy but a more controlable crazy :rotfl2:

Got up this am and did Leslie's 2 mile tape. Always makes me feel better. Still annoyed at the scale but I will deal with it. ;)

Can't wait for my physical assessment at the fitness center on Monday. It will help mentally to know each day what exercise I need to accomplish.

Sarahsmom - you are my hero!! I can't wait for looser jeans. As a matter of fact I dream of the day when they will look good on me:):)

Tara - Sending you good wishes :wizard: that a buyer will show up at your door over the weekend ;) How did the drive with your children go?

Nycpa - you and I NEED to stay away from the scales. I agree they play mind games but they are soooooooooo addicting. When the numbers are good it is instant gratification!!

Lisa - Good Luck with Oprah's Boot Camp!! We will be cheering you on :cheer2:

To the rest of the team - GO!! :cheer2: FIGHT!! :cheer2: WIN!! :cheer2:

Ok I was never the cheerleader in high school

Have a magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

Linda

:guilty: I missed my morning exercise. Looked at clock and it was already 6:30, have never slept thru alarm before or turned it off without remembering. Maybe 4 hours sleep from night before catching up.

I love CNY and lake effect snow:rolleyes::rolleyes:. Woke up this morning to lots of snow. Boots are 11" tall and snow was over the top. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Of cource the town had not been out to plow the roads. Must be they hadn't been lidtening to the weather reports. Luckily the kid next door will snoblow my drive befor I get home.

Stopped to pick up something for breakfast. Looked at donuts, cookies and brownies. Nothing called my name so I settled on warm bagels.:banana:

Must get to the task of preparing tax returns. Nothing is more exciting.:rotfl2::rotfl2:
Everyone have a good day.

Onward and Downward

Hey losers!! :wave2: Hope everyone is having a great week from the looks of things it looks like lots of happy dancing going on!

Sarahsmom how are those jeans....looser??? LOL! Congrats to you! :Pinkbounc

Tara, I think one of the most stressful things I have ever done was sale a house! Here's some :wizard: hopefully it will happen soon!! Lava cake, girl, what are you trying to do to me just thinking about it put 5 pounds on my hips! Great, now I gotta go (now where is that TM smilie?) exercise! HA HA!

NYcpa, snow, what's that? I bet it is beautiful. Bagel, good choice! Have a great day! :goodvibes

chrissmiss 10 degrees as in T-E-N? That's :cold: Keep warm today!

christie WTG on the inches! That's great! :bounce:

Boot campers....I can't hear you! Count it down 1-2-3-4! I would sing you some cadences my DS repeated from his days in Boot but this is a Disney board  :p

I am maintaining my weight and losing my sanity this week. A friend asked me to watch her grandson (she has custody while daughter is in the Navy) while she is taking classes at the local college. He is 3 and could use a little boot camp himself!! I am worn out every evening!

OK, this is Friday have you got your game winning strategies planned for a losing weekend??? Good luck everybody - onward and downward! :grouphug:

Hi everyone,

I'm checking in again today. I'm happy to report another 1.2 pounds lost so that makes 4.5 pounds since Monday's high weight of 187.5! Woohoo! Yes, Oprah's challenge is hard but it's so worth it. I now weigh 183 pounds which is just 1/2 pound from my 100 pound clippie. Sunday is official weighin day so hopefully this weight loss will stick and I'll be able to claim these 4-1/2 pounds.

Good Ol Gal - thanks for the welcome back and encouragement. I sent you a pm.

Tara - thanks to you for welcoming me back. I am an avid weigher, just can't be cured, despite my own stay off the scale challenge (ha). I am a big believer in measuring too. I have a profile at the mybodycomp site where I track my measurements monthly. I'm happy with the inches lost, but there's just something about that scale moving that's more motivating for me than losing 4-6 inches per month. I know my mind is warped! It's the inches that let you fit into smaller sizes so I should just be happy. I'm happy that the boot camp is working so well for me so far. Thanks for the encouragement and enjoy your visit to the salon and when you go to McD's just think grilled chicken salad, grilled chicken salad. :)

Chrisite - what a nice idea, a new red dress and in a much smaller size too. Sounds good to me! Thanks for the encouragement. Congrats on the inches you have lost, that's just great and it's not easy to lose them either so you should be proud.

NYcpa - SBD is a great program. If you want some extra support and encouragement just give a holler, those first two weeks without the sugar and carbs can be rough. I'm cutting out even the "good" carbs and the first 2 days I was pretty irritable. Thank goodness for fruit and no sugar added fudgsicles!

sarahsmom - congrats on those loose jeans!!!!

chrismis - great job on getting in your exercise and thanks so much for cheering us on with the book camp challenge. The scale can be an evil thing sometimes!

Melissa - thanks for the encouragement for us boot campers to keep going. We're going to need it! I'm watching my DS's little girls tomorrow morning for her (they are 3 and 6). My sis just told me that 3 year old niece told her that I am taking her to Disney today (I told her we'd go back again soon, her first trip was 1-1/2 years ago). Anyway, they are a handful so I can feel for you! Maintaining may not be the greatest thing but I have a healthy respect for it after gaining 2.5 pounds for no good reason! Have a great weekend.

It is great to see so much success. All the little things add up.
Even if we have a bad day, your good successes remind me to write it off and keep going in the right direction.
Things are going better for me this week. I am seeing some more pounds gone and will do my official weigh in on Monday and hope it is down even more.
I have discovered that if I see a number on the scale and then the next day it is back up that lower number will be there to stay soon.
I think the not eating at night is does make a difference.
Thanks to all.

Lisa, Lisa, Lisa I am in awe! I am soooooo pulling for you and that 100 pound clippie!! I admire anyone who can stick through that kind of weight loss. I have weight loss ADD and can stray easily. :worship: :worship:

Just wanted to send you some extra special "dust" for your weigh-in!!

Keep up the good work!! :flower:

Tiggerkeeper

If I can fingure it out I will post a picture of the snow. It's fine as long as it's not on the roads, parking lots or driveway.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I really should not complain, we normally get 200" of snow during the season and this year have been very mild so far.

NYcpa, thanks! All we ever get is ice, very seldom snow and you know the stories you hear of Southerners...the grocery stores have a run on milk and bread and everything shuts down! :rotfl2: If we want to see snow we have to visit my Dad in Vail. :sad2:

Good evening 150's club

I set up a homepage to show you some pictures of the CNY snow. They are from an earlier storm not the one we had today but they will give you an idea of how it looks. It is usually only bad driving for a short time as long as the temperatures stay in the 20's so the salt and sand will melt the snow and ice on the roads.

The web address is:
http://homepage.mac.com/ksjohnson8/

Hope this works.

I didn't manage to exercise this morning but I stayed at the gym after my PT I spent 10 min on the stationary bike during pt with 20 min on treadmill and 30 min on the arc trainer after PT. :cool1: :cool1:

I even manage to eat most of my supper before 7 PM. It helps to start pt @ 3 pm instead of 4:30. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Nycpa - I would love to see the snow pictures too. We have not gotten more the 6 flakes this year.

Lisa - You are so inspiring to me too. :worship:

Tara - :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: On those buyers.

I'm home for a three day weekend. :cool1: Send some :wizard: my way to make sure I don't snack all weekend with the kiddos. DH just made them ice cream with bananas after dinner and I ran out of the kitchen and straight to the computer to read what all of you were upagainst today. We have to stick together and out of the kitchen. :grouphug:

We are looking at 70's on Okie land this weekend. Santa brought the kids a trampoline for Christmas and every chance we get we are out there jumping. Someone told me that if you jump for 15 min it is like running a mile. I don't really believe them but sometimes it sure feels like it. :rotfl: Any ideas?

Day 4 of bootcamp. No one sweet has passed my lips. I'm going to run tonight and I'm hoping to double my workout tomorrow.

Have a good weekend everyone!
Tracy

You guys are kicking some mighty fine pounds!!! I'm just getting in from our 7 hour journey...somehow with kids the 6 hour driving elongates....they're all putting their jammies on and I have a sec...the stinky news is I didn't get a lick of exercise...I am going to do my weight training (Oprah's favorites) with weights before bed but as far as cardio...zilch...but I'm recouping and walking my 4 miles in the am because dh is home for the weekend! Travelling food was okay...I kept thinking of all you guys hugging me through this day...I avoided M&M's, skittles, sprite, chocolate chip cookies, and I opted for mozzarella stick, nuts, sausage and for dinner I failed a little bit and had 2 grilled catfish with the tartar sauce and even though I resisted the cheddar biscuits I caved in on the hush puppies..I figured they were corn meal and not on my white bread boycott. I had two of those...not soo bad..but no water yet today!!! Nothing but diet cokes and unsweet tea!! UGH!

Now...to get on to the praising!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
4togo!! NO SNACKS this weekend!!! You LOVE celery, you LOVE salad, you definitely love the taste of nice cool water after a great workout! :wizard: There enough pixie dust to help you through! :) AWESOME JOB ON THE WORKOUTS!!!!

NYcpa...my kids and I LOVE the snow pictures!! We get about a 2 inch snowstorm every 2 years! So this is a treat! You are sooo committed to your exercise...it would be hard for me having to work late hours and still commit to it or even to getting up early...all that hard work will pay off!!!

Tinkcindy...you are sooo right...not eating after 7pm means pounds off I don't care how you look at it! Keep up the great attitude!!! You're a big loser!! :)

Lisa!!! 100 POUND CLIPPIE It has your name written ALL over it!!! Look at how far you have come!!! We can't wait to celebrate that master clippie!!! :) And you are SOOO close to the 170's!!! You are a great inspiration and I just feel that if you can stay sooo strong and committed that I can follow behind you! I hope you're going to reward yourself BIG with that 100 pound clippie!!! Can't wait to CELEBRATE!!! :)

Tiggerkeeper...that little boy will drop those pounds on you..just trying to keep up with them keeps you sacked!! :) Hoping his little legs will lead to little legs for you! :) Maintaining is a good thing...it's usually the week after a maintain that the scale likes to show off...so get ready for some fun this week! :)

Chrismiss!!! You are an exercising QUEEN!!! It's sinking in...please keep sharing your exercise routines....my body can easily be manipulated into copying others...it's sooo helpful to hear what all you are doing!!! :)

My dear mother used to play a 45 record called "Let's go chicken fat...go!" Apparently it was a method used to get kids moving in schools back in the 60's...well she's found it and is going to email me the clip...if you haven't heard it...you should..it's crazy...if you remember it..it'll bring a smile to your face! :) I'll post the link as soon as she sends it! :)

Have a losing weekend!!!! :)
Tara

The scale was kind to me this week and showed a 1lb loss. DS4 is getting better, but still has a nasty cough. I was not able to excersie today, but I did stay on program as far as eating, and I was more active at work than normal due to a special project.

4togo- Here is some :wizard: :wizard: stay strong you can do it. I try to my hands busy while the kids snack, also keep that water handy.

Tara - Here is some :wizard: that you will sell the house this weekend.

Can't stand diet coke, Tara, but I much prefer the unsweetened tea to the other! :goodvibes Now you go and down a gallon of water before bed. You can use the bathroom getups in the night to . . .

It's not been a good week for me. I've eaten relatively well (says she who just bit a Kit-Kat bar :rotfl: ....but I didn't eat the whole thing, just a bite!). Tuesday-my regular Curves day- I was in a workshop all afternoon, and then another for 5 hours at night. No Curves. :( I did go Wednesday, though. We had some distressing news about my sister (info here ), and things have kind of gone from bad to worse. I took yesterday's Curves time to get a massage to kind of ease the strain. It worked so well that I left the office and forgot to pay. :rotfl2: (DH went in this morning to do that for me.) Today, I spent a couple of extra hours at school....to make up for not being there on Tuesday and leaving early yesterday. My plan is to get there tomorrow, though. (And the Kit-Kat is hidden)

Congratulations to all those working so hard and meeting success. I am SO proud of you all! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I'D say that you are giving 150% Keep up the great work!

Debbie

Sending you and your family unending pixie dust and love :wizard:  .

Will keep your sister in my good thoughts. Please let us know how she does.

Have a magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

Debbie!!

I am so sorry to hear about your sister...I will pray for her surgery and healing...and for you and your family as you support and encourage her through this rough time.

You are stronger than I...somehow stress makes me just say, "oh well" and I'd have eaten that entire kit-kat or atleast 2 of the 4 bars....I hope it's hidden well and you have your hubby go buy some good energizing food while you guys deal with all this going on...I have to give "props" (lingo I have no business using! :)) to berries...any kind..they just make me feel better! :)

I think you're doing great with CURVES!!! And soon your body will be showing some lean and defined curves!

Thanks to you guys...I've read sooo much exercising going on that I just couldn't go to bed without a workout..I did my free weights..then did 50 minutes of Cardio Pilates...and I'm almost done with a quart of water...couldn't quite get the gallon down! :) So I'm 3/3 on my Boot Camp days...to think I almost went to bed without my workout!!! CRY FOR SHAME!!! :) It's now 11pm and this puppy has been through 3 states and back in one day...I'm sacked and hoping these showings today pay off...the ones yesterday didn't...but it will!

Thanks!
Tara

I'll send snow to anyone who wants it!!! :cool1: I've had enough :cold:

Girls.. you are so inspiring! I could not have come to a better place for inspiration! You have inspired me to kick up the exercize! You have inspired me to keep moving forward! You are all my inspirations and I am glad we are on the "onward and downward" journey together! :grouphug: Have a great day! :sunny:

Debbie :wizard: :wizard: Pixie dust for your sister. I am so sorry to hear about Susan. She will be in my thoughts and prayers. You are such a kind and caring sister. :wizard: :wizard: Here's to keeping her spirits up and comforting her and your family.

Excellent job Tara on DECIDING to workout so late at night! I was sound asleep then!

Wish me luck today all......... I am taking DS9 to a chess tournament today. I am going to pack myself some apples and my water. They always have nothing but junk to eat at these things and the last one I broke down and had a three musketeers bar.. and my tummy ached from it!!!

It is going to last all day long and I am just going to be sitting there waiting and waiting. Man, if I had Bob Greene's new book already I could have spent the day reading it. I knew I should have bought it yesterday!

I am happy to report that I did 75 crunches yesterday! Now they are not your typical crunch since I can't even pull myself off the floor, but they are real muscle killing cruches!! I told DH... "I DO have muscles under here! You can feel them" and I made him feel them. lol I lie down on the bed(so my back doesn't hurt) and I basically tighten my stomach muscles and lift maybe and couple of inches... but it works!

By summer I will be able to lie on the floor and lift my whole upper body with my abs.. I just know it!

Now I am off to do some cruches before I leave for the day.

Debbie-My prayers & thoughts are with your sister and your family. I'll pray for a speedy recovery as well as some comfort before the surgery. I'm sure all will go well and she'll be back on the road again soon! :wizard:

I've not been good about reporting in here, but got on the scale today (I weigh myself only on Saturday) & found a 1.6 lb loss. Not as stellar as I was hoping for, but a loss nonetheless and I am happy to have broken the 20 lb mark-yeah!

Thanks to everyone for the support & encouragement here! :sunny:

Karen - way to go on breaking 20. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Keep up the good work.

did 45 min on treadmill with watching an episode of 24. Did you ever notice hour 1 hour shows on DVD only last about 42 min. so much for commercials wasting time :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

have a nice evening
