14 Happy Meals? Really?

If you give zero thought to how your actions might affect others, even the simple action of going to a fast food restaurant, I think that is pretty sad. I also think it is likely that if you give zero thought in this situation, it is likely that you give zero thought in other situations.

It's this type of behavior that has made society go down hill.

A little consideration for others can go a long way.

Oh please...like I said this could easily been spun the other way, that this inconvienced the person inside that had to stand behind Big Order Happy Meal Person, so no matter what the Big Order Happy Meal Person is screwed to someone somewhere!

I just find it amusing that when one goes through the drive-thru they should stop to think about all the people in line behind us and their time, the employees ability to get the order ready in their time company emposed time limit, and now the current price of gas. And if we don't, it's all about me, the heck with everyone else. I'm sorry I just don't put that much thought into it when I'm ordering my snack wrap, I'm a horrible person :rotfl2:

If you have to stop and make a point of thinking about those around you, yes, it's a pain.

Some of us, though, think about those around us naturally and it doesn't take any special concerted effort.

Yeah I'm sure that is what you are naturally thinking of when you are at the drive-thru window ;)

Seems totally foreign to you, doesn't it?

No, not a foreign concept, I just think you are lying. But hey if you truly do consider everyone in line behind you, and the employees ability to get your order in their company emposed time limit, and the cost of gas, and its blatant waste of it at teh drive thru, then I suppose you deserve some sort of "super considerate human" award.

No, that isn't what is unbelievable here. See above.

Wow, I never said or implied ANY of that.

But if this is the only response you can come up with to what I REALLY said, have at it.

:rotfl2: That is what you get when you choose to take a posters words out of context to spout your holier than thou-ness. Talk about an "all you can come up with" response. Next time try take the time to respond to the post as written, or just don't bother responding to it :confused3

Can you please point out where, exactly, I "took a posters words out of context", and spouted "holier than thou-ness"?

So let's see..you can have an opinion on something but not me? I would say "who cares?" right back at ya..why do you care what I think about the post? You worry about your feelings and posts and I will worry about mine.

I did not say you could not have an opinion. I was wondering why you would care if another poster came off that way?

I will respond to any of your posts that I wish, and you can respond to any of mine that you wish...or not.

I can guarantee you that I'm not worried about it.

This is what you responded with. I included the part of my post you quoted (in bold). Conveniently you left out everything after that comma, therefore taking part of my post out of context to try to make your point that "you naturally think of those around you". Like I said I highly doubt you naturally think of all I listed, while you are at the drive-thru, but if you do, congrats to you, you really are an amazing person and deserve that award I mentioned before.

This thread is cracking me up. :rotfl:

I hardly think you can point to someone placing a large order(defined exactly as what we do not know) in a drive-through as a symptom of our society going downhill.

Oh the horror.

Coco NUT do u have to comment on everything??:lmao::rotfl:

Wow..nice. There is a handy little feature where you can block people. I will most certainly be using it in the very near future. Please employ that for me rather than police my posts and make snarky comments. Thanks!

And I am wondering why you you are questioning my personal opinion on something. I didn't ask you to understand or care how I feel.

It comes off as rather..I don't know, hypocritical to toss me a "who cares?" and questioning why I care. My response back to you is also "who cares?".

Why do you care how my post comes off or why I feel a certain way? I was simply stating you need not worry about my feelings or reasons when I respond to something and you can simply focus on your own feelings and reasons. I never asked you to agree with me on it.

...gettin' a little HOT in here!

No, you did not ask me to understand how you feel, but any one of us can respond to any post that we wish.

You did not hesitate to respond to my earlier post, and I did not ask you to understand how I felt. I was not posting to you initially, and you didn't hesitate to reply to my post, but it's a discussion board, and you can respond to any post you wish.

If I'm being hypocritical, then you certainly are as well.

OMG...neener neener neener.

LOL, what a riot.

Well, I might now be banned from my mcd's drive thru! I just went and ordered for 3 people. I got confused mid order and said "ummm" then I thought of this thread and started laughing so hard.
The lady at the first window glared at me.

You know there is a teen board here that you may feel more at home on.

If you choose to stay on the CB here is a bit of advice, if you can't respond to something in a mature way, then don't ask someone to point out your mistake ;)

I've actually been in drive-thrus that have signage stating that if you are placing a large order, to please go inside.

::yes::, this, because most times people will sit right there and check their orders while everyone else waits:rolleyes2, they could at least pull them up but sometimes they don't:confused3

Tonight for dinner:

McDonalds: 3 Happy meals, one burger *gasp* without pickles
Total wait time from when we entered the line: 7 minutes
In N Out:
One Double-double with fries and a large coke
Total wait time: 16 minutes. SO worth the wait. And that was with 4 cars between me and the order board. By the time we pulled out, the line was out the parking lot and to the traffic light. So I am not the only one that finds them worth the wait.
