Dee, I am wearing my shirt 'jacket style' with a red turtleneck and 4 pairs of long johns!

Jen and Linda, Tom is mailing the Magical Express luggage tags and bus tickets today from work - I have to email Janet for her address.

Jackie, love the picture of Dee's new house - so nice of u to post!

I am up in the air about snorkeling - because I know it s going to be a tad chilly - but ya never know!!!

Ed is NOT the only guy, I am bringing a few with me!

We have people in the 0's, 20's, 40's, 50's, 60+ - but we don't have any teens.
But we are happy to cruise with you anyway!
There is a fun teen club on the ship and I am sure your teen will fit right in!

Hello fellow shipmates, remember me? I know it has been a long time since I’ve posted here.

She was given her walking papers on Nov. 10th and she is doing very well and looking forward to the trip.
After several weeks of this up and down on the rollercoaster we sure can use this land & sea trip it’s not going to be our normal commando park approach but a slower more relaxed take in the sites, smell the roses kind.
I would like to meet you all in the Promenade Lounge if that is OK with you and say hi……..that’s if we arrive on time and before the ship departs, still no documents for us yet but maybe this week. Hey I think the Shuttle is still go for launch on the 6th can anyone else confirm this?

WELCOME MONTANAMOM! Welcome to the DIS and welcome to your first DCL cruise! You are in for a wonderful experience There are a few people on this thread who have only posted a few times that may have teens in their party, but I'm not aware of who they are. There is a 'collection' of us who have cruised together before and we've been doing a lot of chatting and teasing and hopefully not terrorizing the folks who don't know us.

We will be having a DIS 'meet' at 3PM in the Promonade Lounge (deck 3) at 3PM on embarkation day...please stop by and say "Hi". It's nice to recognize people as you wander through the ship!

You guys will have a great time! My teen (who is not sailing with us this time due to school ) LOVES DCL; I hope yours does too. How old is he/she? There's a 'teen only' excursion on Castaway Cay called "the Wild Side"; it involves snorkeling, biking and - I think - kayaking, if your teen is interested.

We are traveling with two teen daughters who absolutely love disney as much as we do but are concerned it is a "little kids" cruise. It sure looks like there will be a good number of teens by the pictures, especially if they have items planned for teens. I have read some of the threads and you all seem like a great group of people! We are all so excited to leave the snow and 30 degree (high for today) weather, and 70's seems so great, as 50's is tshirt weather around here!

Just a short note. I am getting ready to get things going here for the 33rd Thanksgiving dinner. So before I get to busy and forget:
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
If you are driving someplace do it safely and watch out for the other guy!
Don't eat to much or you won't fit in the clothes for your cruise
Be thankful for what you have and say a little prayer for all of our troops overseas who are fighting to protect our freedom!

HAPPY TURKEY DAY EVERYBODY!

Hope everyone has a great day! Peg, Jose and I are doing a Thanksgiving brunch at a resort this morning (10:30AM), probably followed by a movie and a nap!

MontanaMom, how I envy you and your family their 'firsts' on this trip. You will have a wonderful time. Are you doing Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party? A bunch of us will be there on Tuesday 12/4.

Thanks. I was trying to understand, do you pay extra for that (hot cocoa & Cookies) or is it included in the hopper pass? So many things to learn and so many things to do!

The party is a special ticketed event. They close the Magic Kingdom at 7PM and just the folks who bought tickets stay/enter. The tickets are $45 per adult and you can enter the park as early as 4PM. THey have a special parade (twice during the night) and fireworks and holiday stage show. Not all attractions are open, but the 'biggies' are!

Here's the link for the DIS description. If you go to the Theme Park Attraction/Strategies forum, you will see lots of discussion about the event.

I've never done the Christmas Party, but I did do the Halloween one and it was a lot of fun. Personally, I'm doing the party for the special Holiday feel, the parade and fireworks, and to enjoy it with my pals. Also, since we only have 3 days in the parks, and sister wants to spend a good deal of time at Epcot, I like the idea of enjoying the Magic Kingdom with fewer people in the park. You also have a lot of special photo opportunities during the party...like with Cinderella and her prince in front of her carriage, Snow White and all 7 Dwarves together...things like that. Some folks do it for the less crowded park and being able to do their favorite ride several times in a row! We're hoping a Tuesday night won't be as crowded as some other nights. You should look at the schedule, at least to know which nights the MK closes early!
