12/29/2010 5 night New Years "Dream" of the Magic

Found a pirate costume for DD and a great Peter Pan costume for my 4 year old DS for pirate night!:cool1:

I'm still debating about what to do on the Nassau day.:confused3 I know that DS12 would LOVE the waterpark at Atlantis and obviously DH or I would have to go with him even though I would probably just plant myself somewhere and watch. DD10 is not a thrill seeker and might hang in the pools but would not go near a waterslide, and DS 4 is too small for them. The younger 2 would love the aquarium. So I thought about splitting into 2 groups and doing the Discover Atlantis excursion for the younger 2 and DH or I, but that is only offered in the afternoon and I'd like to be back on the ship by 2 or so (since we could only get our Palo reservations for that night!) I looked into the Comfort Suites option because $525:eek: is not too much more than booking 2 Aquaventure and 3 Discover Atlantis through DCL, but that is for a maximum of 4 people.

I think I've been debating about this too long though, because all of the Aquaventure excursions are booked up! I guess we could head over there and hope for a day pass, but New Years Eve is probably crowded and I don't want to drag the kids there only to be told "no pools/aquarium for you". Hmmm...

I'm :confused3 about what to do with Nassau as well. My biggest concern is that it's New Year's Eve and having been in the casino industry, I'm worried that Atlantis will be just too crowded on their biggest night of the year. I think we're not going to do anything organized that day and just see what we see.

Hi all,

The FE List has been updated as of today.

See post #110 on page 8.

Still a number of GTY's, I think it will be like that until late November. DCL usually starts assigning GTY around 30 days out.

Hi All,

Hurricane Earl fizzled when passing us. Winter Nor'easters have been worse. However, trust me no one is complaining that it ended up being not much of an impact. Good practice for the one that finally does arrive as advertised.

Power stayed on so here is the first pass at the FE list.

2068 wrabitdad Bob Dale (DW) Gordy (DST)
5520 Lynn G Scott Lynn
6034 2Princesseintow Mark (DH) Sara (DW) Mary (DD 9) Grace (DD 4)
6532 Friend of 2 Princesseintow Bill (DH) Lisa (DW) Lauren (DD 10) Kate (DD 6)

Let me know if there are any corrections, additions, etc.

I have it in Excel and will be able to email it to folks when we finalize the list closer to the cruise.

Thanks, Bob :wave2:

Thank you Bob!!!:goodvibes

Good Morning Cruisers!

Sounds good to me Bob - after all, it will be difficult to deliver FE gifts if there is no room assigned:lmao: Will there be an updated room list posted somewhere on the ship (like on someone's door) for any upgrades folks score at the port?

Have a great day all!

Yes, we'll post the list on our cabin door for last minute updates.

Of course if we get that last minute no-cost upgrade to the Walt suite you may have to find us!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: (Don't hold your breath, after 24 cruises we haven't received an upgrade yet. :confused3:confused3)

Sure, after 27 cruises I am still waiting for that upgrade too. If you get the Walt, I deserve the Roy! :rotfl:

We are still patiently waiting for our room assignments - the kids have me checking every day now!

Also here is a link to download the logo I did for the cruise. I put 4 sizes out there. Let me know if there is anything special you need and I could tweak it.

Starting to put together ideas for FE and need to get to work on the FE pouch.

Got my dress for NYE!! Yippee!

Have we got a solid answer yet on when pirate night will occur? Anyone with a schedule regarding formal night/pirate night/fireworks?

Here in South Dakota my windows were frosted over this morning - winter is coming

Take care everyone - have a lovely and blessed day.

Marci

Also waiting for our Cat 12 GYT room assignments.

I think they should be coming out in the next week or so. We are also doing the Christmas Cruise and got our GYT room assignment a couple of days ago. I was so excited...we got 2 cat 10 connecting rooms. :cool1:

Only 54 days until our cruise sets sail!

Same here. Any Upgrade would be appreciated after 30 cruises. We would be more than happy with the Walt, the Roy or any other suite. LOL :lmao::lmao:

It seems like this cruise is not going to be full. There are still rooms available in almost all the cat... I hope I can upgrade when I get to the port, even thou I don't know my room number. Still GTY :confused3

Slowly but surely getting there...

1. Door magnets - all cut and bagged and ready to go!
2. Autograph books - covers and backs cut, paper cut, just need to laminate the covers and have them bound!
3. FEs - bought more stuff, almost all complete!

Hi All,

We're off tomorrow for EPCOT Food & Wine, Festival of the Masters and then 7N DCL on Saturday. :cool1::cool1:

So won't be any updates (if there are any) to the FE list until we get back.

Bob

Hey Everyone! We will be joining you! We booked way back in January. We love to cruise on NY, but this is our 1st New Year with the Mouse :cool1: We will also be doing the FE exchange:goodvibes it's so much FUN. We are staying at WDW a few days before the cruise, but need to head right home after because our DS (12) will be missing his 1st day back:confused3

Made some progress on my day off yesterday! Almost done with FE gifts:cool1: Made tshirts for my kids and printed and laminated magnets. Now I just need to get the adhesive magnet sheets to finish them up. How do people usually pack their magnets? Do you just stick them all together or separate them somehow?:confused3
