12/24/08 Christmas Cruise on the Wonder

Let's stop talking about it before I cause something else to happen. I have already brought too much attention to it. It was Annette's thread and if she didn't get the information she needed, I will start another one and behave.

Let's hope I don't cause any more trouble. Here or on the cruise!!

As for RCCL, I can't believe you are talking about that already!!!

Honestly I thought it was hilarious.:rotfl2: They mean serious business on the DVC forum...they have ZERO tolerance for any funny business goin on;)

That's ok I enjoyed the banter and I got my question answered and all is well.:thumbsup2

Today I am getting a hairdo makeover. My midlife crisis is still alive and healthy and I am also getting new glasses and next week is the tattoo after moi birthday!:confused3 :lmao:

AKV concierge has been really great to deal with. Just thought I would try and stay on topic...nuff about me:rotfl2:

That's great! I think we may try to do concierge next time, but we will see. I remember you saying how many they have. What size room do you have?

So, if I book an excursion through the vendor directly, not through Disney. How, or what, is the best way to get there? It is at Atlantis....

From what I have read in Passporter, cabs are readily available at the dock. It'll cost you about $4 a passenger to get you to Atlantis

We got a 1 bedroom as they sleep five:goodvibes Well I am off to the hairdresser now....wish me luck!:cool1: My new glasses look cool in a nerdy funky way!

Ya Annette. We wanna see the new you::yes::

Courtney, You wouldn't believe how many folks are already signed up for this cruise,(ship and hotel!)and the ship isn't even built yet:rotfl2:

Thank goodness today was the last day of dance camp. I didn't think it would ever get here. Now I can relax a couple weeks before swim practice starts.

Three days and we can make ADRs!:woohoo: Those of you who are spending a few days at WDW pre cruise, what if anything are you wanting?

I thought I had read that in Passporter but I was at work and couldn't remember. I do think my brain is at least 30 yrs older than I am and in the beginning stages of Alzheimers.

Good afternoon. I am AmdymanGA sister and want to wish him Happy Birthday!! We (my husband, daughter 6 and son 15 months) are so excited to be going on this cruise with my brother and his family and my parents. :cool1: I have two questions. My daughter will turn 7 while we are on board. Does anybody have any real cool ideas to celebrate? Also, for those of you taking children, how is Santa going to get to them? My daughter is very curious about that. Thanks for the help and I look forward to meeting all of you. We plan to participate in the fish extenders.

Happy Birthday Andy! Welcome hkatmom! My dh and ds5 will be celebrating birthdays in December however we are celebrating at the resort.. Call DCL and have it noted on your reservation. They can give you some ideas. As for Ho ho well the older two of course know the gig but ds will be 6 in December. Each family is different. We are opening our presents when we come home. Santa will be delivering to the house as we live in Canada and claiming presents at the border are a hassle for us.:goodvibes

Happy Birthday Andyman!

We celebrated my son's 5th on the DCL. You can get a special "It's my Birthday" pin from guest services and they will send a birthday card autographed by her favorite characters. We bought a special light-up birthday cake hat from the gift shop. If you let your head server know at the beginning of the cruise, they will have a birthday cake ready and the whole dining room will sing Happy Birthday. It just happened to be our Castaway Cay day so he and I did the big stingray adventure together to celebrate.

I can't remember if they do the Princess Tea on the 4 night, but if they do, that would be an amazing present. Just make sure you are on board and to Guest Services immediately to get tickets. To come back to the stateroom and find her favorite princess's dress hanging up, complete with shoes and fairy wand ready to wear to the princess tea. Ah... my little girl is only 17 months old, so it will be a few years before I can make her princess dreams come true!

As far as Santa goes, that was one of his first questions when I told him that we were cruising again at Christams. I showed hime the two smokestacks on the ship and told him that is where Santa comes in. Our Santa presents will be Disney stuff, either purchased at WDW beforehand or onboard at the Treasure Ketch. If we can't have things giftwrapped, I plan to pack flat tissue paper and curling ribbon to wrap. I haven't seen flat wrapping paper in a long time. Do they still make it? The cruise is our present to him (and his sister) this year, so we just have to haul the Santa presents home on the plane. Any other presents from relatives will be unwrapped when we get home.

Note- the woman in the above left of that picture was the matriarch of a Spanish family on vacation. She and her teenage daughter wore thong bikinis to the pools and on the beach the entire cruise. They were also close to us on the beach and we have more than one "cheeky" photo of the duo in the background of our family photos.

Hey, if you've got it, flaunt it, right? Even on a DCL ship.

Europeans are very open minded. Call me a prude but their is a time and a place for thongs and DCL is not one of them.:duck:
