12/24/08 Christmas Cruise on the Wonder

Can you see the fireworks from a midship starboard balcony? I have read it can get pretty crowded on deck. It would be nice to watch them while relaxing on our balcony.

Yes, I don't like crowds so much and it seemed very crowded at the party. We were midship starboard on Deck 7 and the fireworks view was fantastic from the balcony. In fact, I think we might have been directly under where your suite will be. At one point we heard little feet running overhead and figured that we must be under a suite as our room had no room to run. :lmao:

Dale and I don't do crowds either...yeah, and we are going to WDW the week of Christmas:lmao: How ironic is that?:rolleyes1

I think we're starboard. Heck I forgot:scared1: We're on the right side of the ship as you are looking towards the bow. 8532. Underneath the arcade:sad2:

OOOOOH the suffering:lmao:

OMG am I ever going to be busy this weekend. I had some time to kill while waiting for the dr office to open after lunch,so I went to Lowes. They had their 6pk of annuals .10 each! Let's just say I'm going to be up to my elbows in dirt all weekend:rotfl2: I also got two 4 gal pots, one Salvia, one Hibisus, and one Mandivilla(sp). And 7 two gal pots. Can't remember what they were. Something for my hummingbirds. Our patio table is crammed full:lmao:

It is not warm enough to plant here yet. OMG 10c:cool1: annuals I would be in heaven. Even though it is a lot of work flowers are always appreciated!

Why oh why did I buy so many plants? I still have tons to get in. I had forgotten just how horrible our soil is here.:sad2: It's mostly clay and when it dries out, it's like cement. I can dig the hole, but have to replace the clay with good garden soil. Then dispose of the clumps of hard soil. Now I know why I stopped gardening 2 yrs ago:rotfl2:

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.:goodvibes

There are about a million other things I should be doing right now. Planning tomorrow's Sunday School lesson for one. Yet here I sit crunching on guac and chips, searching for Christmas DCL pictures.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!pirate:

Ours is exactly the same. I do perennials in the beds and annuals in the pots now.

Sorry been gone for a while. I was curious about the dinner thing as well. Since I have a 11 year old and 16 year old, does that mean I have older kids? And what is the REAS package? And how do you get to book Palo already?

I feel like such a dork...

I am trying to put a picture on here of us and for the life of me I can't figure out how. Pathetic, I know. I am not exactly computer illiterate.....

I am not sure about the kid thing but they do put the younger ones at the first seating. Your kids are older like ours so it depends what you requested.

REAS(Romantic Escape at Seas package) here is some info on the package.

I could not book Palo but a note was placed on my file that I want it switched to brunch. When I call at the 105 day mark they will make sure I am booked into the brunch

The REAS really has some nice romantic touches, like unlimited use of the Rainforest Room and rose petals scattered in your stateroom one night, but with us sharing a room with the little ones, we aren't planning for romance so much. Maybe if they could scatter the rose petals on "secret" Deck 7 and I could hang a necktie on the door handle... The biggest benefit is being able to book Palo (and I am thinking your shore excursions as well... could be wrong on that) at the 105 day mark like the concierge/suite guests.

On another note...

I have managed to make a DCL sandwich after all. Northwest was able to change my tickets after all-at no charge. It pays to be persistant (annoying). We have now picked up 2 more days at WDW on the tail end. I have an email request in for a Courtyard View at the Wilderness Lodge through SOG overbook for the 28th and the 29th, so hopefully that will come through. If you have time send some pixie dust my way.

Have a great Monday, everyone!

Cheers,
Adrianna

Thanks everyone! As soon as I get back to the casa I will work on the pics. I'll see if I have a recent one of all of us from our Disney Photopass from January, otherwise it will be 2 years old.

Adrianna, I am SOOOO glad to hear about your bookings! I am certainly envious about the Wilderness Lodge overbook. Here is pixie dust....:wizard:

We are sharing the room too so perhaps the REAS flower petals won't be a good thing. I can see DD16 now if she knew we were even thinking about it :scared:  once she came in and saw petals.

:rotfl2:

A friend of mine said how dare us to share the room but then I told her the cost. I told her she could pay for the additional room if she wanted too. :rotfl:

I am certainly getting all excited. Wish they had an emoticon that had a puddle of pee underneath it. :lmao:

I was thinking the same thing as I read Adrianna's post. Don't you know we can't be romantic? We're OLD.:lmao:

From now on when you post an emoticon, we'll visualize a puddle of pee under it...just for you;)

We are doing connecting cat 9 so dh and I could try and have some time to ourselves...hopefully it works!:rolleyes1

Good morning. Man am I ever sore. No more plants for another two years:rotfl:
Beautiful morning here. I'm waiting for the pool guys to come open our pool. Course last year they were two weeks late, and they aren't here yet,so I'm not holding my breath. If they were coming they would have been here by 7:30 am. If they don't hurry up, they are going to be cleaning it for a long time:scared1:
REAS pkg looks nice, but , I think we may just get a couples massage instead. I'm thinking cabana massage at Serenity Bay,then parking our backsides in a hammock the rest of the morning,or all day, if the twins are having fun with the rest of the teens.
Time to head to the Y. I'll catch ya'll when I get home.:thumbsup2

Brenda-

My landscaping is on the shoulders of Uncle Sam. There are guys here right now putting down fill dirt on my low spots to get my yard ready for resodding. Bout time as they tore it up last August during the quarters' renovations.

As far as Arts for All. You know I haven't been in the three years that we have lived here. Maybe this is our year. Have to keep the kids busy on the weekends.

All-

My SOG overbook at Wilderness Lodge came through!!! :woohoo: Woo-hoo!!! It is, afterall, my patriotic duty to stimulate the economy this week!

I would use the peeing emoticon at this point, but I too am only computer literate at a basic level.
