I'll never forget when we pulled into St Augustine and they were talking about it being the first settlement and I said something about Plymouth Rock being first (dumb me) and George said "Mom, that was New England! This is New Spain - it's MUCH older!" Who ever heard of New Spain?
I am afraid I will regret making a reservation in St Augustine because although I'd like to get out on the early side (eg 4 pm) I am sure that my husband won't be able to and we will again be leaving at 10 and then have so much further to go. Maybe if he knows we have further to go, he will be more likely to be ready early! Probably not. I may be cancelling those reservations.

I would bring the freshener. On our 10 day in 2004, there was a plumbing oder in our room and Disney couldn't solve the problem and had to move us to another room so they could tear into the pipes. We were in a 5024 and they moved us to a Cat 8 in it's place.booksw said:Do you bring air freshener? I am getting bogged down in the details!

I thought that since we live in Florida (12 miles west of St. Augustine) and I have to travel the interstate system quit a bit from South Carolina to South Florida I would give everyone a heads up for those traveling down the night before the cruise. I-95 is presently under construction in Florida from I-295 south to Jacksonville for lane expansions. It is also under construction from Exit 297 south to just before Daytona Beach. Most lane closings are at night after 7 PM for the resurfacing. (usually all but one lane is closed) After Daytona it will be smooth sailing (Sorry) to SR 528 and the port. Will take us about 2 hours on Saturday. We received our docs on Thursday so we are now getting excited.

Helped DM wrap presents this evening, got the grocery shopping done, found a new dress shirt for DH and Disney crocs for DD, got DD to see Santa and found some fun stocking gifts for DB. Laundry isn't done yet. the load in the dryer just won't dry and there is another one yet to put in the dryer. Ugh. DH is asleep already and for some reason I am NOT tired tonight.
