12/12/10 Podcast cruise 2.0

as I posted on the other board podcast thread...

As excited as I am about the December cruise and my days days in the parks, I am quite willing to wait to find out about special events planned by the podcast team.

I know that they are planning cool activities. I trust them.
I know that there will be a concert with Jodi Benson, a conversation with Bob Gurr, Charlie Ridgeway and Lee Cockerell.
I do not need to know exactly when. And I am okay if they get "all the ducks in a row" before giving us details.

On a little sadder note . . . I knew when I took this job it wouldn't last forever, and I have been fortunate enough to be here this long (10 months). A week and a half ago I had out that my last day of work would be Sept 2. This
morning I found out that it would he today. So as of 5:00 this afternoon, I will once again be unemployed and it SUCKS!!!

Sorry, Shelly. I hope you can find something else soon.

I'm safe for awhile, since I can't book anything until the end of September... and even then, I think the only thing I will do is a spa treatment for my daughter and I...providing the little one will go the the teen club.

This has got to be hard for the DIS team to organize....there's a LOT of people going.

The Palo brunch IS wonderful!! We were lucky enough to go to the Palo brunch and dinner during the last PCC cruise. In my opinion, I think I preferred the brunch. The offerings were delicious!

The problem is we don't even have a tentative schedule in place with DCL.

I am just surprised that with an event this size and after PCC 1.0 and with the large number of early bookings into the Group Space, that Disney did not want to start the planning process as soon as the second Podcast Cruise was booked with them. That way as they were building their schedule of ship sponsored events - around the Podcast Cruise anticipated events so that the schedules would meld together nicely - so all you had to do now is determine which speaker/singer/recording was at what time & location reserved and the final logistics of equipment, etc needed.

I get that everyone wants details as soon as possible - trust me, so do I.

As soon as we know anything I will post a schedule on all approrpiate pages and we will work to make sure those who don't check the boards regularly get notified as well.

We appreciate the work you are doing on our behalf behind the scenes..Many of us, me included are just anxiously awaiting the schedule so we can finalize our plans and make our bookings for Palo brunch or dinner, Spa Treatment, Excursions..and everything else the cruise has to offer along with the many Podcast events you are planning. We are excessive planners, which is what brought us to the DIS in the first place... that is why it is hard for us to be patient. We can only talk about the weather for so long..we are ready to go into the final 90 day countdown discussing the meat of things surrounding PCC 2.0.
