12/12/10 Podcast cruise 2.0

I started my Christmas Limoncello about a month ago. There are many recipies on the net but this is a good web page to look at. It even compares store purchased.

Salute

I'm thinking that I might need this recipe. I'm just saying. Hmm, if I got it now, it might be ready in time for the cruise.

Good luck to you on that one!
Sorry to hear you won't be at DATW, I am starting to worry myself.
I wanted to indulge this year, but if my best friend does not make it, it is just not going to be the same.

Wish I hadn't had to use all my vacation days and get a new roof. I would have gone with you!

There is nothing wrong with Ragu, but I'm not an expert.

Ragù is an Italian term for a meat-based sauce, which is traditionally served with pasta. The word is the phonetical Italian spelling of the French ragoût, a noun derived from ragoûter (to revive the taste).
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragù

When you sauce is made with love by family, it has got to be the best!

My North Jersey Italian friend called the red stuff on top of pasta "gravy", not "sauce". Is that an Italian or geographic phrase?

My nona (born in San Marino) calls what she makes gravy. Its red. It has meat, you put it on pasta to make it pink. At a restaurant, she calls it sauce.

There is another thread about the 12/12/10 Podcast Cruise on the Dis Unplugged Board.

I posted the link to this thread over there, so I feel it's only right that I post the link to that one over here:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2513744

There's also a whole sub-forum dedicated exclusively to this particular sailing (when booked through Dreams Unlimited Travel)

2010 Podcast Cruise Sub Forum

Different threads on pre and post cruise events as well as getting to know you chat threads. Its gonna be one big rockin' party on the ship!

Lots of 'newbie' cruisers on board this time (like I'm some big shot with my ONE previous DCL trip) with lots of helpful threads and such.

Don't forget to check out the thread I have linked in my siggie, "PCC 2.0 Events" for a run down.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

It's Yvette's fault! But this is a fun place to be. :goodvibes
It's my idea not my fault......
I hope i didn't made any fault at all......:littleangel:

Yvette is full of great ideas!
I like this way of thinking!!!!!!

I know that people that book a cruise come over to the DIS cruise boards to look for a thread where they can find other people that have booked the same cruise.

That's the reason that i started this thread so that everybody that booked this cruise could find us and would know about the Podcast cruise and about the fact that this cruise doesn't have only this little thread but a whole subforum!!!
And maybe if they found this thread on time could transfer to DU or just book with DU direct for being a part of this party!!!! :cool1::cool1:

I don't mind at all that people that already know about the PCC2.0 forum also visit this thread the more fun the better.
But it has not been my intention at all to start something apart from the Podcast forum and threads there.

I am in the process of making home made limoncello. I wish I know how to post pictures. It takes at least 90 days to make. I got the recipie from my family in Italy. How I miss Italy and my family!
Ohwwwwww Limoncello.........
If you have a spare bottle, could you bring that to the PCC2.0 pretty please....

I found the party!!

So, we are going to have to go travelling from one board to another to go to more than one party.

This will get us in practice to go to parties on different decks of the ship!

No wonder (no pun intended..lol) the other board is quiet.....the fun is over here....thanks to Kevin for posting it and thanks to Yvet for starting it. I think I'll play here for awhile today..since work is boring.

Hi Yvette,

I understand and fully appreciate why you started this thread. I think it's great.

I posted a link to both threads when people started asking me why "the party moved to a different place" and why the "Podcast Cruise had run it's course after two years".

As you can see from a couple other posts....not everyone realized that the discussion they have come to enjoy moved or run it's course.

Thanks,
Kevin

All I can think of is moving a show you adore to a new time slot. Isn't that how they got Murphy Brown off the air? I really enjoyed that show. Jim Dial was kind of my role model, not gonna lie.

It's my idea not my fault......

George asked me the same thing! He thought I should do limoncello FE. I'll I need is to have some drunk child fall in the pool because he drank the "sweet lemon stuff" that was in his FE! Actually I was going to bring some for an adult nite cap!

The board posts have quieted down as we don't have anything Cruise related to talk about and many of us are busier lately than we have been... school is starting back up which takes time out of everyone with children schedules.
Our Dining ADRs are booked - now that Candlelight Dinner Packages finally were released. Most of us have our travel plans finalized. We can't book excursions (or plan to book them) as we don't have the Podcast sponsored event schedule. Final Payments are coming due (and for a few have already come due) thus this booking window is opening - which may come down to us planning other things since we don't have a tentative schedule of events to plan around.

Info spurs excitement - excitement spurs conversation.
