Congratulations Lily! I showed my Sophia the photos of you and your baby, and she can't wait to meet you both!

We just got back from WDW (on Monday), and today is the first break I have had to post or see what is going on. What's up with the counters anyway? I got tired of looking at all of that gibberish, and deleted mine from my signature. Somebody has to tell me how you add photos to signatures . . .

Anyway, we had a great time, but Amy got the flu on Tuesday, and has been in bed ever since. We stayed at CR, Garden wing, which was fine, but we REALLY enjoyed OKW! We loved that resort! The parks (esp. MK) were crowded for President's day weekend, but we went late, and stayed until closing (midnight), and after everyone left it was GREAT. We practically had a whole streetside to ourselves for an 11:00 Spectromagic parade. Most people left each night after "Wishes" at 10:00.

Anyway, back to 20 degree weather and snow - what a bummer!

You need to put your picture on a website & then click on the properties link on the picture & paste that in the [ img ] picture properties [/img ] without any spaces in the brackets. How was the Contemporary?? I have been contemplating changing my ressie to Pop....only because I am not to sure of CR and I know we like Pop...nothing was available at a discount at WL.....

CR was fine. I think that the public areas of the resort need some "freshening" - especially the hallways, etc. Our room was very nice, and it was in the North Garden Wing. That is further from the pool, but closer to the self-parking lot. From what I have heard, I think you will appreciate the size of the room vs Pop resorts. But . . . I am sure you will spend much more for it. If you are going to MK, the only better place would be the GF, but there is a whole different atmosphere there.

It is also a very short walk from the North Wing (at least for us) to the MK. We actually found it easier to walk than to take the monorail. When we moved over to OKW to use our DVC, we actually drove over to the CR with our rental car, parked in the self parking, and walked to the MK (there were plenty of spaces, and you can park at any WDW resort with your parking pass from another WDW resort).

There was one thing that surprised me at the CR - there is a round pool in the back - like more of an adult pool closer to 7 seas lagoon than the Big pool. That pool did not seem really "Disney Clean" , and a mom and I actually noticed trash floating in the "runoff ledge" that runs around the pool. A bunch of trash was stuck in the area under the seating area. There were also a couple of broken outdoor umbrellas there. Very "un-Disney". It was a great place though to view the electric light parade of barges on the lake.

Okay, I have a potential problem. We have been transferring all of our home movies to DVD's. Last night we were capturing the movies from last year. DS and I were watching them on the computer as they were capturing and the little bit that we did on the Wonder came on. DS announced that he was never going to the Club or the Lab again. Now, he didn't spend a lot of time there last summer, but he didn't put up a fight about going. I told him that he was going to have to go there some while we were on the cruise and that maybe if he had a friend there he would enjoy it more. He said that he didn't have any friends there. Then I reminded him that William would be there and maybe they could be friends and play together in the club. Lisa, William did like the club didn't he? I sure hope so. As we were watching the video I think I figured out that he just really didn't like doing the show at the end. I told him that if he didn't want to do that part he didn't have to. DD didn't like the kids show either.

LOL! Things can change so much before December. Don't stress about it. I just asked DS if he wanted to email his new friend for the cruise & told him what you wrote. He said sure I want him to go to the club with me. I will sit with him after dinner tonight & send you something. Maybe I should do a page on the website for each age group in the club so the kids can see the faces better & know who they will be seeing when they go? Let's wait for ivillage to decide what they are going to do in March & I will look into it. We are also going to be upgrading to cable...WOO HOO!!!!!!...very soon and if I need to, I will switch the website over to that homepage.

Which age group was he in on the last cruise? DS like the 3-4 group alot on our first cruise but didn't care to go very much this last time. He did enjoy himself when he was there though. His problem was not being the oldest in the 5-7 group I think. He is use to being almost a year ahead of his classmates & being able to help them. The older kids didn't want/need his help so he felt out of place sometimes. I also think that the fact that he wanted to spend so much time with John's DD had alot to do with it. LOL! DD & his DD were in the 3-4 group. This year they will all be in the 5-7s together. That should make a difference for all 3 of them.

DS was in 5-7 group last time. I think that part of the problem was that we had done 4 very exhausting days at WDW prior to the cruise and he was just worn out and didn't want to play there much. Mainly because he didn't know anyone on board. DD was in the Lab and had a friend she met on the cruise meet page so she loved it. The kids pretty much wanted to hang out with us around the pool during the day, but we did get them to go to the clubs in the evening for a little bit. We like to never got Rachel to leave the club. Jacob seemed to want to page us after about an hour. I think that if he and William hit it off he will be fine. Of course he may want to hang with your DD too. He has a "thing" for younger women. He has already decided that he is going to marry the little girl next door who will be 4 in a couple of months. They are pretty cute playing together.

They just came out with FL resident rates for May and they are GOOD....it has been hard not to change.....

Hi, I am very new to a disboards and I have just moved my cruise date from a 4 night on 12/11/05 to the 7 night 12/10/05. I found this disboard and read a few of your messages. You all seem to have gotten to really know each other. Not sure where to start. I am going to be taking the 12/10/05 cruise with my mother and my daughter (Sophia 6). Hope to here from someone soon. Dorothy, Welcome to our group and to the disboards. You will you find this to be very addicting. Have you done any cruises in the past? We have done one 4 day last summer. It was supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip. We had so much fun we just had to go again. You will be glad you are doing a 7 day. 4 days was too short. lbgraves (Lisa) has put together a website for our group. I am sure that she will see your post soon and give you the info about it.

Yes I have been on a 4 night cruise in Nov 2004 and you are right it was not long enough. I have always done a couple of trips a year to WDW, but my mom does not like all the running around. So, last year tried out the cruise and we had the best of both worlds. Disney for me and relaxation for my mom. Sophia loved the club and would have lived there is she could have.

Ahhhh yes, those once in a lifetime trips . . .

In 2000, our 7 day land and sea (with a 3 day cruise) was supposed to be one of those kinds of trips - we had NEVER been on a cruise . . .

Five years later, we now own DVC (decided to buy on that trip), and this December will be our SEVENTH DCL Cruise since then!

Talk about addiction!!!!!
