12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

I guess since we hit the parks so much - we spend lots of time at the resort and pool....especially to come back for afternoon naps for DD, so normally the resort is important to us.
We did stay at Pop last year for $49 a night, can't beat that and then AS Movies for $74....will probably book value again in October. Gotta make good use of our AP's and the fact that DD is still free!!
I do try and stay in deluxe at least once a year....that's my splurge....:)

Cristi,

If I can help with any info on resorts, please let me know. We have stayed at just about all of the different Deluxe and moderate resorts. We do have our favorites. In a couple of weeks we will be at the contemporary (I have a conference there), and then on to OKW for the rest of the week. All of them have their good points and bad points - we like the contemporary well enough, and like the Poly too.

Our favorites though are Wilderness Lodge and the Yacht and Beach Club. We spend a lot of time in the resort though, and at the pools - not just at the parks.

I can definitely see where it would make a difference if you stayed for more than a day or 2. We spend the entire day at the park since we have only been to MK 2 days so far. We did take the monorail to see the resorts at Christmas. I think it was GF with the giant gingerbread house? They were all beautiful!

Hi John - did you stay in the tower or garden wing at the CR? I am just wondering if we will feel like outsiders in a garden wing....

We have stayed in both the tower and the garden wing . . . we prefer to stay in the tower. Some of the rooms in the garden wing are remote from the main "Resort" - although you are closer to the pool and boat transportation.

It is just more "cool" especially for the kids to be in the area where the monorail comes through outside their door, and to hear all the commotion at "Chef Mickey's" - which BTW is our favorite spot for a character breakfast. You do pay a premium though for the tower room.

I do not yet have a room assignment for my conference coming up, but I am guessing I will be in a garden wing room, and can give you a report when I return since it has been several years since I stayed there.

LOL! I have been rescueing data all day. :( I am happy that some how I managed to get the old HD to boot & running...if it is very slowly. I have saved almost everything!!! :) :) :) I just cropped & touched up the character autographs for the scrapbook. I think that I will prepare paper to have the characters sign for ME & the scrapbook. LOL! By then, the kids wont need any of them.

Oh LG! Come on out & play lilgator!!! :)

I am still working on the last couple files on the dying HD. It took a little coaxing...& cursing...this morning to get it to run without being in safemode so that the CD burner was working. :)

DH is dealing with the same sinus mess that I had for the past two weeks. It's not going to be fun around here. :( DS is doing good with the strep. I'm still improving & DD isn't showing signs of anything yet. Keeping fingers crossed here!

lillygator, maybe you should trying bouncing like your guy in your countdown. :) I can't imagine how miserable you are. I was miserable when I delivered both of mine and they were both three weeks early. Hang in there.... Thursday for sure, right?

Lisa,
That is great that you are getting everything off of you HD. DH did manage to get everything off of our dying one last week. He also decided to upgrade our processor so that it working well. He is having issues with DD's computer now though. He upgraded hers with our old processor and now he can't get her email to work. He is going to call tech support later, he is giving up.
I hope you are all feeling better soon. DS had strep about a month ago. He recovered from that pretty quickly. About a week and a half ago DD got a cold and missed school for 3 days. Then on Thursday this week she started complaining about her ear hurting. I took her in on Friday and she does have an ear infection. She is doing better now. She said that her ear only hurts a little now. So, I keep popping my vitamin C and hoping that I don't get anything.

That's right! Although anytime would be better for you, just relax & get ready for Thursday. Sleep while you can is what I remember the last couple weeks beforen DD was born. :) Neither of my kids slept thru the night until they were 18 months & moved into their big beds. You can lay in bed in the hospital focusing on a picture of The Magic & thinking about how in exactly 8 months you will be boarding. :) :) :)

I will stock up on the Vitamin C here this fall! We usually get sick with something in mid December & I don't want to take any chances. I was sick a couple days before the cruise, DD spiked a fever the last night after a busy day on CC and John's DD got sick the day we got off the ship with his DW not feeling well the next week. I would rather avoid all of that this time!

I wish I could sleep - horrible heartburn!! I know it will be rough here shortly. With DD, I think the first 6 weeks were the absolute hardest.

I am so dreaming about the cruise!! I wish it were time to go!! :)

WOW! Lillygator hasn't posted since Monday morning!!! Maybe lilgator has been born!!! Hmmm...we should hear something by tomorrow. On pins & needles here! :)

no baby yet!! Thanks for thinking of me though. I go in for an induction tomorrow at 7am, providing nothing happens tonight. (which I am doubtful, no pains or anything!!)

Took today off so I can try and get all my last minute things done!!

That little baby will get here when she is good & ready. :) I know that both of my kids were late & DS was induced. It's not as bad as what alot of people say. Are you getting an epideral? That saved me in both cases since my back labor was due to a crooked spine, which I just found out & got corrected last year. DD was scheduled for induction on the morning after Labor Day but decided to come out Labor Day morning. :) Good wishes for you tomorrow. Looking forward to pictures!

I wonder how lillygator is doing? Hopefully she will post some pictures in the next few weeks.

Hopefully she is resting comfortably with her little one nearby. :)

Hello all! Thanks for thinking of me....

I am pleased to introduce the newest Disney Princess ~ Haley Nicole born 2/10/05 at 9:39 am ~ 20 inches long.

I went in at 7 for the induction and ended up having an emergency c section due to Haley being tangled head to toe in the umbilical cord. Quite a shock, although she was perfect - a 9 and 9 on her Apgars....I am still recovering (physically and mentally) but will post pics soon!

:)

CONGRATULATIONS Lillygator!!! Welcome to the group Haley! Can't wait to meet you in just over 300 days!!! :) :) :) It's great to share a birthday with you.
