ugh, I am sure I haven't been the sweetest to my family lately. But Samantha is being awful - I just sent her to bed without dinner. I told her I would be calling Dr. Phil.

OMG, I could just scream or cry or both. She has gotten up twice - I almost wish she were still in a crib so she could be contained. That's sounds so awful.

That's nothing that most of us haven't thought at one time or another.

I just must be the most awful parent in the world. I don't get it. Both my girls are favorites at school and for the most part all the teachers say how wonderful they listen, help out and are just pleasent to be around. Ummm, at home it is quite different. Samantha never wants to pick up her toys. It's a constant battle. Everything seems to be a battle. I just don't know how to handle it. I feel like I need to strip their toom bare of everything or lock the drawers and closet. She will put on mutiple outfits, throw them on the floor and now Haley is in on it too!!

Honestly, you have just expressed my feelings for several years now. Someone told me once that if the kids behave in school & other social situations....you have taught them well. They are simply testing you at home. That's what kids do. Don't battle over the small stuff.

One of the books I read said that kids are simply being kids. If they sit & work on something for an hour or so & then you tell them to put it away, that completely destroys their work. They are 2 & 4. They are testing their limits & trying to be independant.

If their favorite outfits are dirty on their floor wrinkled up they can't wear them. Do you have a small basket or hamper for her dirty clothes? I got one of the collapsible ones for DS a couple years ago. He likes emptying it into the pile downstairs when I do the laundry.

I have to admit that I would LOVE to experience more of those listening golden child moments that their teachers get.

It seems over at the thread where they said Pirate Night had been moved to Tuesday was a temp thing ...The double dippers from the 14-21 which means they got off yesterday are reporting that Pirate Night is back to wednesday for them ...So Hopefully it was the crew reward in Coz ...and most ships do that in Coz cause there are a few Cantinas to service some of the crew members ..lol

DH ~ I so knew what Nora was going to do. And the previews, wow! I am not liking the Mike, Edie, Susan storyline.

We just watched the worst Disney movie ever. I got "The Wild" from Netflix. It had the same story line as "Madagascar," except is wasn't funny! My DH and I both thought it tanked. It did not hold my DS's attention at all! What a disappointment!

We haven't seen it yet but that is what I expected from it.
