I love that airplane smiley - I tried to show it to Ken because I think it's so funny but he is being crabby tonite. anyway, the plane does bounce like that when you rev the engine - made me laugh. some of them are so accurate.

I don't know about a purely southern thing but it sure is some kinda good eatin'. Cracker Barrel makes them fairly good but my DW makes them great.

Do you all know how many calories are in one of those Pot Pies? Seriously, I don't want to frighten you if you don't care, but if you do, go look. I can't even breath the scent of one of those without using an entire days fat content.

I went into the bathroom to get DD's bath ready and I find that someone peed all over the bathtub and bath toys. WHY? WHY? WHY? Of course then he lied about it so now he is in even more trouble. First he said Allie did it, then it was a bat....

So now I cleaned the tub and he is getting his bath first (just washed with no playing) and going straight to bed.

Did you know lying in small children is a sign of intelligence?

ugh, I am sure I haven't been the sweetest to my family lately. But Samantha is being awful - I just sent her to bed without dinner. I told her I would be calling Dr. Phil.

I was shocked when DH and I were looking for our first house. We started going to open houses about a year before we knew we were going to buy. We were in our mid-20's and had good jobs, etc.. We would talk to agents about what we could afford and they always would ask us if our parents could give us any money. It was just assumed. I was really kind of offended. We were trying to do this on our own and it was always interesting to have to tell them that DH and I made more money than either of our parents. If someone was giving money to help someone purchase a house it would have to be the other way around.

DH and I always go to buy cars in Jeans and already have financing. It always amazes me how some dealerships treat you. At one dealership about 9 years ago, they tried to down sell us from the car we were test driving. We just laughed and told a good friend of ours who is in the radio business. Well, you can imagine that the owner of the dealership heard about it from our radio friend. Wonder if anything changed?

I just must be the most awful parent in the world. I don't get it. Both my girls are favorites at school and for the most part all the teachers say how wonderful they listen, help out and are just pleasent to be around. Ummm, at home it is quite different. Samantha never wants to pick up her toys. It's a constant battle. Everything seems to be a battle. I just don't know how to handle it. I feel like I need to strip their toom bare of everything or lock the drawers and closet. She will put on mutiple outfits, throw them on the floor and now Haley is in on it too!!

Ok, I think I have whined enough.

I'm sorry I chuckled earlier. Think of it this way. Would you want it to be reversed? The girls listen to you easily, but not to others? While it is a stressful and seemingly unthankful job at times, our children feel safest in our presence. They feel comfortable and free to try new things with us, which allows them to push and find limits and appropriate boundries. You must be doing a good job because they know some boundries which is why they act more appropriately outside of the home. Hate to tell you, but it isn't going to stop anytime soon.

I was thinking of slipping some allergy medicine into the auditors drinks. If they were sleeping and not auditing. Think of how much free time I would have! I guess that's not very ethical, I just really really don't like auditors, they waste my time.

I am sure you are not a bad parent and if you are then you can join the Bad Parent Club with me. We can be charter members! At least Samantha is good at school we have problems with Nathan both at school and at home!

Now I feel bad for what I said to V! Nathan has been going to the same place since very little right? I am sure he feels very comfortable there (as in it is almost like a second "home" atmosphere) and he probably has some "turf" issues!

AMEN! I even played dodgeball, climbed on a bare metal jungle gym and played basketball without cushions on everything. I understand being safe but there is a limit to the restrictions we place on our children. Let them have fun!

Sometimes, I wonder how I could possibly be alive today without all these restrictions as a child. It's truly amazing the species has survived.

It seems over at the thread where they said Pirate Night had been moved to Tuesday was a temp thing ...The double dippers from the 14-21 which means they got off yesterday are reporting that Pirate Night is back to wednesday for them ...So Hopefully it was the crew reward in Coz ...and most ships do that in Coz cause there are a few Cantinas to service some of the crew members ..lol

Did you ever see "The Great Raid"? It was one of those.....intense, but very moving. Especially at the end.

I read the book. Very intense. My parents have a friend who was on the bataan death march and a pow who also wrote a book about his experience. I have such admiration for those men!
