I had no idea that Cove Cafe also serves martinis...just discovered it on this cruise. But I wish I had not made that discovery, as the Bananas Foster martini is addictive!! I am not a martini drinker, but the Toblerone Martini in Palo got me hooked initially. Now that I have tried the Bananas Foster Martini (which tastes just like the dessert that it is named for), I am in love with it. They have chai (tea) martinis, too, but I just couldn't tear myself away from my favorite in order to try those. If you're in the mode for a yummy treat, be sure to head up to Cove.

You people in the NE are really strange about your food. First fluff then crustless pot pies!

Let's clarify, the chicken pot pie with noodles is definitely at PA Dutch thing only. Even other parts of the state go with the crust definition. I grew up just outside PA Dutch country, but had family there.

So here's my mixed heritage answer: the thing with a crust is chicken pie (there's no pot involved, people). the noodle thing is chicken pot pie (I know it's not a pie, I can't help you there; but there is a pot).

Ok two good things today.

I take the subway to and from work each day, tonight as I was coming down the stairs at my station in the burbs, the girl guides were out in force with the chocolate mint cookies, yea! I have not had one girl guide come to my door to sell cookies since I finish girl guides when I was 11.

Second, and kind of silly. The AG catalogue came today. We never had wonderful dolls like these when i was a girl, so when a bunch of ladies over on the budget board were talking about codes for AG several years ago, I headed over to the website and ordered a catalogue to see what the fuss was about. I love the dolls and would love to have a little girl to buy one for, but now I can't get them to stop sending them, the temptation is so bad to get one for me, lol.
