Oh, yeah. I call your version chicken pot pie too! I think to consider something a pie it needs a crust. :teeth:

So what is everyone having for dinner tonight?

I have some pork chops marinating in one of those bottled Lawry's marinades. I have never tried them before. This one is something like garlic and cracked pepper. I think I will make some rice and a salad to go with it.

I wonder if I can get DW to make my favorite... :scratchin

Saurkraut, with hot dogs and a big plate of Chicken pot pie, you know the kind without the crust, the way my grandma back in Pennsylvania makes it....mmmmm! :stir: Smores for dessert! :woohoo:

I LOVE sourkraut... grew up on it. My dad used to slice up hot dogs in it (yuck!) and I'd pick out the hot dogs but eat the kraut. I still love the stuff but DH, DS, and DD won't touch the stuff. Oh well, more for me. ;)

Roast pork, kraut, and mashed potatos is my favorite all time dinner. Also kielbasa and kraut cooked on low for hours! YUM!!

Just teasing! :stir:

Sort of, kind of....probably not, actually. I mean really, if you're gonna have noodles in it, call it chicken pot soup. :lmao:

Or put some dumplings on top! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

My given name is Rebecca. My family and most of my close friends call me Becky. DH is the one who started calling me Becka as kind of his pet name for me but I used it here on the DIS so it became DH and my 50,000 closest friends who now call me that! :rotfl2:

In short I will answer to any variation of Rebecca, Becky, Becka, Becks, etc.. :)

Maybe if I start using Becks I won't misspell it so often. :lmao:

I mean really why would you call it a PIE if you don't have crust? :confused3

You people in the NE are really strange about your food. First fluff then crustless pot pies!

It's NOT a NE thing! Just a PA Dutch thing. ;)

What exactly do you do for apple pie? Is it just cinammon and apples? :confused3 Pie by definition has a crust! :sad2:

I don't know why I keep going on and on about this! Apparently you have struck some kind of deep hidden nerve with this one! ;)

That one really made me laugh out loud!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I am getting strange looks from my kids and "what's so funny?"

I guess I should feed them now...hey wait, they can feed themselves! :thumbsup2

Never had chicken pot pie, (the whole pea allergey thing) but it has crust in my world. Never had a dumpling either (sheltered life).

Wait a minute! Getting off isn't in the plans! :sad2:
Yes, I thought we were going to lock arms on deck four saying "heck no, we won't go". Wasn't that our plan?? :confused3

It's at the club one night.

I'm not much of a painter but I do like to watch the painters so we go to the club for awhile. We usually end up at the piano lounge.
Yep, Sessions is where we usually end the day.

Venison steak, waffles (not the frozen ones!) with chokecherry syrup! Yummy dinner.

I was so surprised when I was out your way that they did not have Wawa!!

I'd never heard of Wawa until a few years ago when I met someone from NJ.

My background is Penn Dutch on my dad's side and he was a cook, pot pie never had noodles, did we lose them crossing the boarder? :confused3

We're getting close to another pirate: tonight and not to mention the 40k.

I'm reading a story from last week's Sunday Newspaper Parade...

the article says that Izzy from GA had a brother who died when she was 7...and her parents donated her brother's organs..and how hard it was.

She talks about how the storyline with Denny changed her.

Very interesting...
