How many DIS'ers are planing for upgrading?

We have said if we could upgrade to a verandah for $300 or less we will.

Well, I told those in chat the purely geeky thing I did yesterday. I went through each catagory on the DCL site to see how many rooms were unoccupied!

Here is what I have as of now...

Cat 4
40 rooms empty out of 80 rooms

Cat 5
65 rooms empty out of 114

Cat 6
20 rooms empty out of 138

Cat 7
9 rooms empty out of 30

Cat 8
6 rooms open out of 60

Cat 9
26 rooms open out of 177

Cat 10
11 rooms open out of 96

Cat 11
79 rooms open out of 147

Total
256 rooms open out of 845

That's roughly 70% full, or 30% EMPTY, depending how you want to look at it!

Wow! Does this mean the upgrade fairy will be visiting some of us?!?

somehow I think the GTY rooms have not been assigned and factor in a little bit. Weird how FL rates are only available on select cabins - no 7's and I don't think any 4's...can't remember.

We went to a new restaurant last night. The food was excellent. The dinner lasted almost 2 hours. If flew by because we didn't have the kids. If the kids had been with us....AAAHHH!!! We were all laughing and having a great time. Then we went to a bar for a little while...not very long. After that we headed back to our DFriends house and we played cards. We didn't get home until 1 AM. I have not laughed as hard as I did last night in a long time! It is amazing how funny everything seems when you have a few drinks in your system and your kids are not around!!!! I told DH that we need to go out W/O the kids more often!

I should make some pesto from the last of the basil plants before they freeze.

Oooooh.....love pesto! Everyone else in my family hates it.

Have THE BEST recipe for a marinated goat cheese with pesto. (Sorry cheese haters....realize that last line might have put you over the top.)

Just got a call that we won one of the raffle baskets at the Fall Faire at Walt's preschool. It's an ice-cream themed basket.
Elizabeth remembers that there was a Coldstone gift card in the basket, along with toppings, cones, scoop, etc!

It is SO cold here!!! Inside the house it is only 61. It was 32 when I got up this morning and it is currently only 52. The wind is whipping! My DH is downstairs trying to light the coal stoker.

my Haley is well "trained"....I put on a top with a big Gator (UF) head on it....she pointed to it and started doing the Gator chomp!! She can't quite say Gator yet. She just started saying Samantha and it is so funny to hear her walk around saying it.


She has a REALLY good arm. She was in the pool really chucking the ball at me and almost nailing Samantha in the head everytime (payback?) But Samantha couldn't palm a ball and throw like her at this age. I am not pushing anything believe me.

got him already!! I just recovered these!!

wow - I am a native for sure.....it's 81 and I am shivering when getting out of the water. Some days the heat gets to me but I do love it hot for the most part.

Serious bummer. I wanted to go see "Man of the Year" with Robin Williams.


It was freezing in our house this morning, too. Had to finally turn on the heat. With propane prices the past year, I've been ruling that thermostat with an iron glove! The boys know not to ask for the heat to be turned up unless they can see their breath coming out of their mouths!

We have a 1,000-gallon buried propane tank and a couple of our bills this past winter were beyond scary!
