We started leaving home for the drive to WDW around 4AM while in Oklahoma. This year we are going to do it again just to avoid the traffic on the beltways of Baltimore and Washington, DC.

We'll start packing in the very near future.

Shall we start a caravan down?? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Too bad everyone is leaving on different days.

I started doing a VERY geeky thing today...I will let you know what it is when I am done.

Becka, we have a WONDERFUL book called The Next Exit. You can get it at thenextexit.com. It lists what is at every exit on every interstate highway in the nation. We have found when we travel with young kids that going thru a drive thru a mile or so before a rest stop then stopping at the rest stop to eat works really, really well. The kids do not have to sit at the rest stop like they do in a restaurant, but can run off some energy. Rest stops are quick and easy off and on the freeway. I find a rest stop in my Next Exit book then back track an exit or so and find a McD or something. This book is the absolute BEST roadtrip tool ever invented. I also highlight the Arco stations from here to CA because the gas is usually about 10 cents cheaper at those. We plan our gas stops with that book too. :thumbsup2

We have this book. It is very good.

okay - back from dinner and wine with friends....i'm going to go catch up...

I'm leaving at 4 today so only about 20 min left. Haley actually had a fountain on her head this morning, no where near the length of Allie's hair, I wonder if it will still be in??!

Becka - did you cut bangs on Allie?

Neither of my girls have them (me either) and I was wondering if it's easier to take care off and keeps hair out of there face easier.

Sophia is curretly growing her bangs out. You can imagine what a sight that is.... hair everywhere!!! Oh well she has decided she does not want bangs!!!

THe whole lobster thing, doesn't make sense to me. It is always drenched with something, even it is just butter. Has anyone eaten it with nothing on it? What makes it so special? I eat fish, but shell fish is more about what goes on it or what it is dipped into. I love shrimp cocktail, I think because of the sauce, lol.

I might skip the lobster too, what else is on the menu that night?

Pj
I do like lobster even without the butter. Yummy

Yes! Candy talk is so much more calming.

A candy thing that I learned from my dad .... chocolate covered cherries injected with rum flavoring (he used the real stuff) then hard frozen.

YUMMMM YUMMMM Where's the Rum?
pirate:
Oh, I have some rum. I just may have to try this! Sorry kids, these are for Grandma only! :lmao:

Everyone else went to sleep? Chat was fun tonight. :) See you guys after the game tomorrow!

DGS just got home from work and he is happy, happy tonight. :woohoo: He got his employee discount card today AND it was double discount day for employees - he got an IPOD and saved about $70 on it, and a pair of shoes for $30 that were regular $60. AND the best part he got his real shiny name badge, no more funky temp badge for him! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

It's pretty hard to eat lobster plain when there is a huge bowl of drawn butter in fronit of it. I just dip it very lightly - it's just too rich.

I sort of lost interest after the first dozen or so lobsters I ate. I really love oysters and shrimp. and fresh crab.

I give Giona bananas with whipped cream - I can't really get him to eat fruits and vegetables - I figure that counts if I get him to eat it. plus it keeps him guessing ;)
